  1. Need to raise funds for other things (including renewing Tamiyaclub membership) so thinning out the collection a bit. Wanted to put them up for offer here before they go on ebay. As the title suggests, I have a vintage Koyosho Ultima and a Vintage Koyosho Outrage for sale. Both cars are pretty much original and complete as far as I can tell. I have never tried to run either car, they were only for display as part of my collection. I have only ever given them a bit of dust-down as they were on the ‘to-do’ list to become display/light runners. Both have the usual signs of age and use, peeling stickers etc, but I would say have been owned by ‘enthusiast’ rather than ‘kids playing with a toy until it breaks’. The Ultima front tyres sidewalls are cracked if you squeeze them, but I would reckon with a clean up and re-glueing they would be perfectly serviceable as a light runner. (I have stored both cars off the wheels to avoid the flat spots for the last 5 years or so.) Two of the spring collars on the Ultima are split, so the spring rate can’t be adjusted as-is and, being on the same side, it will lean to one side if on the wheels. Super easy fix but I have left them as original for now. Both come with the period electrics fitted as shown in the pics, but like so many ‘loft finds’ no transmitters. Bit of a rushed posting / pics I’m afraid, so PM me your email address for more pics / details – just ask. Previously traded with I_am_Scarecrow so I’m sure he’ll vouch for me. Will post at cost and VERY well packed. Based Nr Worthing, West Sussex so if your reasonably local we could arrange pickup or drop off for cost. If you are local enough and want to check them out, let me know. Let me know your offer on either or both. Thanks, Mick.
  2. Hi All, A die cast 1:8 scale Snap-On cabinet on the bay. Serves as a money box (To save up for Super Champ perhaps?) Selling for a friend but he wants the money, otherwise it would stay with me. The Pajero and bits are NOT for sale, just showing how it looks scale wise Ebay UK item number 151462246234 Cheers Mick. (I will get my showroom up again when I can afford the fifteen quid membership)
  3. Absolutely Brilliant !! It works !! Thank you both for replying. I have found that my charger appears to be the same as Tamiya Monkeys imax b8, just re-badged/different colour, it also does connect natively via USB so no making cables (although that wouldnt have been a problem), I used the Logview program suggested by TA-Mark and all is good. I shall post exactly how it worked for me as soon as possible (it does help to be into computers as I and TA-Mark are). Thank you tamiya monkey and TA-Mark. Absolutely Brilliant.
  4. Hi all, I have a Yes I-Peak 867charger which I am very happy with. Unfortunately I don’t seem to be able to find the PC software to go with it, the shop I got it from cant help and I haven’t been able to find anything on google. I must confess I’m a bit of an anorak when it comes to charging batteries and it’s almost a sub-hobby in itself to me, recording all my charging/discharging data etc. I can’t really afford another charger just to be able to plug it into the PC (have enough already ) so if anyone has this software I’d love to hear from you. Many thanks Mick
  5. looking at it vs TT-01, I'm thinking I agree with you. Oh yes, this will see some action
  6. Excellent ! Thank you both very much It certainly is a very nice car, oil shocks would be nice though. From what I can see so far, looks a bit more durable than a TT-01. Setting it up as a car park drifter at the moment. It still has the original Pug 206 shell but that has no stickers and needs a bit of work. I've swapped the rear wishbones round to give it a slightly shorter wheelbase so I can put a Supra shell on from a cheap supermarket 'toy' drift car that was thrown out. After over 30 years of only having Tamiya (not in a snobby way, just stick with what I know), I am looking at other stuff as well and I am well impressed with this Kyosho Just to show my Kyosho ignorance : I know this is probably the equivelent of a TT-01 or TL-01, but is this chassis/car considered 'desirable' in any way by the collector community ? I suspect not, but if it is, I would rather swap it for a TT-01 or TL-01 and wreck that rather than wreck something that may be sought after. But it is an excellent chassis. Thank you
  7. Hi all, Recently aquired a Kyosho 'something', however this is my first non-Tamiya so I dont have any idea what it is. I need a full bearing kit and a few spares but I don't know what I should be asking for. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful Sorry for the bad pics Thanks
  8. Brake Lights arrived safe and sound this morning. Many Thanks CHiPs
  9. I'm hoping to move to a new house over the next few months. It has an excellent garden and the wife and I are already planning to put an off road crawler course in for our Hilux's and Pajero's. I did have a small course at a previous house for my original pajero 58132 when they were first released, but I've never had a decent spot for a course since. I plan to make it all scale looking with plants, rocks, perhaps a bridge and some water to wade through, but also to look nice as a 'rockery' feature of the garden. I cant wait so I want to see pics and perhaps some details of your off road areas in your back gardens. Cheers
  10. Been checking out those speedos, the Tekin FX-R definately looks the best performance/value from on paper spec. Looking for UK results with google I found these, are these the ones you mentioned? TEAM TEKIN FX-R PRO 123.49 Novak Rooster Crawler Edition 75.99 (or 99.99 with their 55T motor) Speedmaster Silver Star Ultra 49.40 I looked for the Castle Creations Sidewinder, but only found brushless. Is this right? The TEKIN FX-R PRO is on ebay from Hong Kong for 'bout 75, but of course the usual weeks taken for delivery and the chance of getting stung by customs, so not sure if worth it against buying from a UK shop. I've just succumbed to a couple of re-re pajero's so a uk sourced FX-R PRO is looking unaffordable for a while and all my other speedos are 'normal'. Do you think the Speedmaster Silver Star Ultra with the 75T motor will offer a big enough difference over the TEU-101BK / 55T motor to justify 50, or should I wait and put that 50 quid towards the FX-R PRO. maybe like "hmmm.... well I guess it will do for now .. sigh ... but I suppose at least I've got another speedo ...." or more "Oh yeah, much better .... this is good. An FX-R PRO would be nice, but more luxury than needed" If you know what I mean (sorry, its getting late). You can see from the pic the sort of terrain I like to drive, and I usually run with the diffs unlocked.
  11. Thanks for the reply, exactly what I needed to know. (And awsome truck BTW,) Just ordered a couple of 75T Integy lathe motors, was holding back till I had a better idea of where to spend my money. In the picture the Hilux is holding itself on the hill (although with the help of 1st gear and the rough surface and stones) and I was kinda expecting the Pajero to be similar. I guess the Hilux has loads more drag in the transmission. I googled and found your speed controller, very expensive but it looks like it might be worth saving for. The 55T motor is new, so for now I'll put it in the Hilux and a 75T in the Pajero. I'll see what the speed controller in the Hilux is and see how it works in the Pajero. Thanks for clearing my head and pointing me back in the right direction.
  12. Running my Pajero MTW body on a Touareg chassis while I rebuild the MTW. Its got an Eagle 55T lathe motor as its only for slow and smooth driving, but trying to decend steep slopes it almost runs away, even with brakes it goes down too fast. When climbing, if I let off the power even slightly it rolls back too easily. Its basically: XC chassis fully ballraced Eagle 55T Lathe Motor Tamiya TEU-101BK ESC Acoms AP2400 Technisport 2.4Ghz 2 Channel Radio System Is it just because its a lathe motor and being easier to turn? Its still too fast and I was thinking of a 65T or 75T motor, but will this make it worse? Should I get a 'proper' rock crawling motor and/or ESC, or perhaps a 40T Truck puller motor? Any advice appreciated, Thanks
  13. The Ford Ranger (in my showroom). I had absolutely no plans to get one because of the cost, but I was the luckiest man alive on that day when I got it. Will never run it though, I can just hold it and look at it, drift back to that era, standing in Beatties for hours staring at the Tamiya Promo video ....... Got a couple of others, including my original Pajero MTW (after I found all the bits I had assumed lost) but their not really 'vintage'.
