Excellent info guys - I appreciate your reply's. I have been doing some off road racing recently on a fairly muddy track which has some jumps and sharp corners - would the roll bars (front and back) be of any use do you think or would I see more benefit when the better weather comes and the track is more dry and dusty? What are Anti Roll Bars for ?? I first thought that they might be there to save body damage if the car "Rolls" over but I don't think that is the case. Is it some thing to steady the car as it drives to eliminate the chance of "roll"...am I being stupid (one at a time please) Iv'e never used one so would be really grateful if someone could take a minute to explain... Today I went to a new racetrack near Gatwick (UK) - it was a brand new laid out track mainly geared towards 1/8 Nitro Buggies and 1/10 off-road, Tmaxx ect... There was a very good selection of electric off roads buggies though. Being a new business I'm sure that the people involved would be interested in organising a vintage Off-road class should enough people show interest. It is an excellent looking car, really top quality, I built mine from new and added a decent LRP F1 ESC. I haven't run it outside yet, not sure if I ever will as I'm not sure how easy it is to get parts for this one - bet it would really go though ! I think I may have put mine in the wrong category - I will check it out.

These cars are very expensive, not just to buy but to restore as well. I have recently bought two, one I bid on and then I saw another which looked like a nice one so I bought that as well with a buy it now option. I think you just have to be prepared to spend some money because you would be so lucky to find one cheap at something like a Car Boot Sale. I missed out on a very nice condition SS the other week on ebay UK - it went for £350, the body was unpainted so thinking about it this may have been a reasonable price. Remember - it's only money...you get paid soon.

I have recently bought a couple of Sand Scorchers and intend to make one of them a runner - whats the best way to go about it - do you stick with original components, batterys, motors...etc or is it best to install a new esc, battery and motor - has anyone attempted this and if so do you have any set up/installation tips - pictures would be very interesting to see - where you position and attach everything. Can you put a better motor in ?- would the gears stand it? Forgive me as I'm still new to the game and this is my first posting. Thank You...PJHULL
