just use movie maker (you'll have it if your on XP but its freeware if your not) do import video/movie or whatever it says, and it should have a walkthrough of what to do. -

Ball Bearings/Ball Racers... The importance
Jcbiker replied to Allanto's topic in General discussions
As far as i know, bearings are quite resiliant. The only damage a bearing could do to a chassis, is if it was the wrong one. Bearings are going to up the performance on ANY car, due to the lowered friction and resistance in the drive. -

Tamiya wont use the same chassis for on and off road vehicles. Except the stadium rader, but thats just wierd. This is a twin detonator.. and that is NOT a TL-01. -

Erm.. as far as i know... the TL-01 is an on-road chassis. The TD has its own chassis... Forgive me if i'm wrong, as i have seen off-road TL-01's, but i think its only the stadium raider. -
safe to that. Truth is.. about 3 weeks ago i was in the exact same place as you. and i felt the urge to ask silly questions, that actualy sounded quite inteligent and like a good topic for disscusion in my head. dont ask these questions, just about EVERYTHING has been disscused before. Anything that has not been disscussed, has not been disscused because it has been asked/mentioned, but been pushed aside due to the asker not either googling it first, or not thinking about it first. safe.

legal radio frequencies for scale rc modellers
Jcbiker replied to carnage's topic in General discussions
its not AT ALL performance. Its just the frequency at which your transmitter and reciever talk to eachother via. -
erm... not many 1/5 1/4 cars have elec.. and with that size, again, the elec motor wouldn't have enough power. There is no point in it. Its just a waste of time and money. The only reason nitro cars dont have two engines like some elecs have two motors is coz theyre too heavy to be benificial, and the nitro engine provides enough power anyway.

I appear to have just stripped my gears....
Jcbiker replied to Jcbiker's topic in General discussions
Not realy. The stock tamiya one is quite a bit more effective than a manual one. If you read my first post, i've stated i am buying a new ESC with the 19t dynasty. Safe to the uprgade.. i may go with that, but would i need a new pinion aswell, due to one getting bigger, and the other getting smaller. etc. -
the weight of the nitro gear, would be too much for the motor to handle. There is no where near enough room in any current chassis to take both systems. Its just not worth it. a well set up nitro will be fine for a long race, they dont use the fule in 2 minutes. a decent sized tank can give longer run times than some elec cars. Its not cost effective for company to mass produce such a product. As they wouldn't sell. It'd be WAY expensive.

As brushless is WAY expensive. I've not looked into it much.. but from what i can see, a top of the like novak bruchless system on a fully hopped up racing chassis could absolutely SMOKE a stock-ish nitro truck. If you want to know indepth, google it, i;m sure there'll be some sort of comparison site.

i HAVE an esc.. the stock tamiyas one. I'm not asking about a motor or ESC. i'm asking weather i should go for the stcok replacement spur, or the uprgade set. safe.
