Like a guy at the race track said: "I was stupid to use all that money buying that TA03 , and use all that money on hop ups. I discovered this when i bought the X-Ray that was wayyy faster and tuneable than the TA 03. With less cost that the Tamiya too".

After i have started to get cars like Losi XXX-4 and Associated TC3 , B3 I have started to think why dont Tamiya make serious racing cars too? Well i have a TB Evo 3 Surikarn , so i know they make good touring cars. But also they are very exspensive. I also miss cars that can match the XXX-4 or the Associated B3 B4 or Losi XXX Bk2. My interest in Tamiya cars have dropped seriously since i started to get cars that can be seriously raced , and dont have **** suspention etc.. The Tamiya catalog says "Toys they are not"... Well, i am not so shure anymore.....

Confusion, contradiction and dismay....

I guess for the price of a decent Avante you can buy a Real off road buggy like the Losi XXX-4. -
I use a Novak 5800 brushless system in my Losi XXX-4 G+ I must say tat i did not expect the performance was that good! I run a 22 teeth pinion (21 reccomended by Novak) And with a 8 turn Losi recomends using a 16 teeth. Still with the 22 the car blasts away at once full throttle is given. Top speed is icredible ,and it is quite hard keeping a straight line on dirt sometimes. I highly recomend this system. (would be interestin to try it with a large pinion in my F103 ) []

I thought it was easy to stop with this hobby. Just got me a couple of cars that was meant for use and racing. Associated TC3 and a Losi XXX-4 G+ with a brushless motor[] -
#1 Set the car off the ground. Turn on the radio #2 Turn on the power on the car. Now 2 leds will flash for 2 seconds. While they flash, push the button. #3 Give full throttle , hold it, and push the button #4 Give full reverse , hold it , and push the button #5 Go race your car[]

Mounting the clod tires to the jugg rims. Will make the tires touch the 4-link bars when cornering. I have done that on my Jugg 2 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=14197&id=578 and i have that problem sometimes. But the clod tires are far better in off roading i think.

Well i belive this collecting hobby will die out in the end, because who of the Playstation generation will collect old RC cars they have no relation to? -
Im looking for a Losi xxx4 buggy, and have the following cars for trade: Fox: built from all new parts, never run. Rims has some scrapes, but are quite nice. This car is in my showroom. Rough Rider: quite complete, body is good, but needs some repairing on the roof (all bits are there) Chassis should be complete with radiobox (not so good) Bad condition box follows. XR 311: First edition i think with some spare parts and missing driver. Apart from that, a good resto. Combo deal is possible... Cars are in Norway
