  1. keep the rubbery plastic ones as shock absorbers and fit the carbon fibre shock tower - that's the racer way !
  2. I have ever only Raced my DT03 - every year at the DT Challenge. And as the motor limit is a 19 turn spec or 10.5 blinky there is no hard crashes.
  3. Yes I have one on my DT03, very light strong alloy - I shoved some weights in the hole in the middle

  6. it is, just do not understand why people don't do it ???? Racing isn't scary and it is a million times more fun than driving around on your own - so many people have these cars and do nothing with them.
  7. 2018 booking in now open http://worcestermodelcarclub.com/wordpress/booking-in/kidderminster-summer-series-2018/
  8. oh right ok, you must have BRCA otherwise you will not be permitted to race, I think they might have hand out transponders but it is always best to have a personal one.

  10. the main classes I think are :- 4wd buggy 2wd buggy stadium truck/truggy 2wd vintage 4wd vintage micro buggy Because we get enough for our own heat for the Hotshot cars they let us have our heat - our rules are a racers gentleman's agreement to keep things fair for all.

  12. I enjoy racing mine, all the mods you have done and more ....
  13. great thread this, I do like a budget racer - goes to show man with big wallet doesn't always win. The Tamiya TT01E Racing truck has become one of the most popular club racing classes in the UK and I see a lot of threads on Facebook from around the world long live the TT01E chassis
  14. It is so much fun this, play on words all you like people note that even if you think you are being safe, it doesn't matter - only what the other person might say and if there are two people say the same thing, your screwed. and if they take a picture your doubly screwed hope you have public liability insurance ..........
  15. this is such a fun thread, so many people are really not understanding the implications of a sue for anything culture that we live in. Even with BRCA Insurance (UK only of course) you still need the permission of the land owner to use your RC car. Playing football, bag pipes etc does not even come under the same thing Most public parks that are Council owned specifically ban RC anything ! Just phone your local council - do not be blind to the fact you can get a police caution for using your RC car in the street if someone complains
  16. Or just join a club and race your car in a insured place - BRCA
  17. not quite the point - any public place is owned by someone.
  18. To use your RC car in a public place you must have the owners permission. That goes for any public place !
  19. How many of you knew about this ............... By using your RC car in a public park you are breaking the Law .... https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/police-order-boy-3-to-stop-playing-with-remote-controlled-toy-car-in-park-and-threaten-his-father-with-caution/ar-BBIUaJr?li=AAmiR2Z&ocid=spartandhp
  20. They are available to buy on Amazon.co.uk - so they being banned in the UK is total crap. Beaties used to sell them. I buy mine from Japan, Hong Kong and China. I have about 20 that I like to build up with all the rollers, mass dampers and carbon fibre etc. I know there is no where to race them in the UK, I just enjoy building them and seeing what I can do to them by watching 'Mad tang' and 'Rosco' to name a few on youtube. Tamiya USA have some nice slow mo video's on there channel.
  21. both of those are over engineered and the top one, well all not good. Certainly wouldn't want anything like that is it is all wrong. The top part should be all flat, have a look at the trf parts. I have the alloy trf parts for my trf502 the top part needs to be flat not stepped like mst part ! You adjust the roll centre with different length turn buckles and the grip level with spacers under the balls studs
