Hi!
I have two mint bodysets for sale, i have had a number of interested people but somehow an agreement havent been made.
It´s now up on the trades for the last time i hope.
Before i talk about the stuff i would appreciate if you wont give me any "offers" or silly bids. I put a really good price on these parts now. i do combine shipping so if you buy them both i charge shipping for one.
I only accepts paypal and ships worldwide at cost. 50USD insured with trackinginformation.
I only sell to a verified TC member.
For contact email me at: tjompalompa@hotmail.com
Porsche 934 Turbo rsr bodyset in mint condition, this kit is in an awesome condition and all the parts are in its plastic bags, three decalsheets and they are also mint!
The bodyset is in one of the rarest colors RED!
I now put a price of 450USD for this beauty and i also include shipping in this price. This is also on ebay at the moment but i will close the auction early, the price is higher on the bay.

The second bodyset i have for sale is a Porsche 935 turbo, this is also in a great condition and all parts are included, some parts have come of there trees though.
Price for this beauty is 300USD and i also will include shipping.

That's a cool find ... did you lose an arm and a leg for it?

Actually not, i managed to get them to a "reasonable" price but pretty much money anyway.
I have put the RSR on ebay to see if i can raise funds for some other projects, i dont know about the price though, just writed something and hope it sells, maybe i go lower if it not sells. Hard to put a price on thoose things.
-
This is what i found a couple of days ago on a Swedish auctionsite, a mint new in box Porsche rsr bodyset 58001 complete with everything. The body has the ultrarare color red. I probably will sell this in the future to finance something else.

I also did find this one from the same seller. A NIB porsche 935 turbo bodyset complete with everything also.

Thanks for looking, comments would be very appreciated.

Hey!
When will the TRF 2WD arrive? i need one i think!
-
try to add a couple of more shims in the balldifferential, then you have some more pressure on it.

Hi All,
hopefully someone can help me with my question
When braking or turning into a corner my car looses back end traction and tries to 'swap ends'. making it very difficult to enter a corner and not spin out. Also coming out of corners the car tends to lose traction and again 'swap ends' or simply does a donut. I can drive it if I'm very slow but its getting frustrating.I recently fitted Kazan Ceramic bearings to my Merc C-11 diff would this cause any issues?
I use normal sponge tyres (no additive) and drive on car park bitumen which is smooth by carpark standards
Novak XBR Sport Brushless 13.5 esc/ motor combo. 104 tooth Spur/ 21 tooth Pinion
Also to adjust the diff I'm holding the Diff side wheel in one hand and trying to turn the Spur gear with my thumb (same hand), when the spur is really hard to move with my thumb I'm assuming this is tight enough? Anything else I should be looking for?
Cheers

Hello!
I have tried several cars with that kind of chassis, i have theese suggestions for you:
Use tiretraction on the rear 30min before racing.
Use a bigger wing that can provide some real downforce, buy a wing from kyosho lazer zx-5.
when you have don this you can laborate with the damper and make it a little bit softer, use another spring and maybe some other damperfluid.
It is also important to have the right rideheight, approx 4-5mm above the ground, the rear should be higher up than the front.
If you do theese mods i can assure that you will have a better car! but you may loose steering also, use tractioncompound in front if the steering will disapear.

Sorry, I have to correct the previous poster, because he is wrong. A ball diff can be used with the TTC slipper on the Astute, but not many people know about it.
I helped a friend to do this in the early nineties, and you end up with quite a nice diff/gearbox combo.
I found out that the front one/way gear fron a manta ray/top force fits just perfectly on the super astute main shaft, after some work on it. It has exactly the same hexagonal mounting shape.
You just have to carefully remove some of the material from the front of the oneway gear on the side where the flange is (about 5-6 mm), but when that is done, you can use super astute parts for everything, except of course the ball diff (astute), layshaft gear (our custom cut oneway gear) and idler gear (astute). It's the best of both worlds really, the super astute gears are extremely weak when gravel and stuff enters the gear case, and the astute ball diff is a good combo with the super astute slipper.
There ya go, a nice Astute mod. Try it out!
Hi mate! thanks for posting this "impossible" answer, i was happy back in the days when you build the tranny for me, it could be abused over and over...
i have done a thread about this modification and could be seen here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...t=0#entry239481
And the word Impossible is not in my dictionary...GENIUS! SIMPLY GENIUS!

Hello everyone!
I want to thank "pUs" for this great idea when i was younger and my gearset for my super astute didnt manage to stand up for the amazing power of my Parma motor.
I will post text and pictures of the different steps for the build, and also a needed partslist.
Idea: You are sitting in your hobbyroom and your gears on the super astute is totally killed after last race (and you want a balldiff too), You dont want to buy gearset after gearset anymore, you are feed up...okey take a deep breath and follow theese simple steps.
This is what you will need:
1. Super Astute transmission complete
2. gearset from Astute and a complete ball differential.
3. Manta ray/top force/evolution 16T gear (from the torque splitter) torque splitter set has nr: 53071 and can be found on ebay.
Step one:
Use the gearbox from the super astute, the only gear you will keep from the super Astute is the spurgear.
Remove the other gears and install the ball differential and the long gear from the regular Astute.
Now to the torque splitter 16 T gear, remove aprox 4mm of the gear in length, it is very important that you do it on the proper side, you can see that the gear are hexagonal on one side and will fit perfectly on the sliiperclutch axle.
Make sure the axle will go thru the gearbox and the white whasher and c clips will fit properly, if it doesnt fit just remove some more material on the 16T torque splitter gear. take it slowly.
Here is some pics and instructions
Pic 1.
The Super astute gearbox is now fitted with ball differential and the long gear from a regular astute.

Here you have a pic on the hexagonal 16T torquesplitter gear.

Gear and and the slipperclutch/spurgear axle

Gear mounted on the axle, this gear is too long for correct fit and need some trim. remove a couple of mm at each time, it is very important that you dont trim to much on it.

Here you can see clearly that the axle is to short and you need to remove some material on the 16T gear.

this picture shows the little 16T gear trimmed and mounted on the spurgearaxle.

Now you are ready to go racing with the best gearbox ever on your astute/super astute, dont forget the c-clips on the spurgear axle and use proper pinions from the super astute!!
RIDE ON!

85470 RPM sounds likea good number, i will pull the throttle fully in the summer on a wide road and se what happens..i only build this car to push the limits..if it´s for 30seconds or thee minutes...i dont care. a new motor is not that expensive...
-
hahaha you are hilarious! well i will build this one and buy a new in box some day! oh ah...finished buy the way, took me three hours to build the super astute...didnt need the manual for it either...

Hello!
Recently bought the new mamba max combo 7700 to try out in my associated RC10l pan car, i feeded the motor with a 3s lipo battery 11.1volts, the motor was recommended for 2s lipo 7.4 volt but this was the only battery my local hobbyshop had....so i bought it, the car performed very well, i have intended to run it outside on a big road in the summer....but on my local racetrack i had barely full throttle...wheelspins on the straights..
the track i raced on will host the european championship in 1/12 scale in april so its quite big..here is the movie:
ENJOY!
