The wife made me sit down for one episode..........the following day, and for a couple weeks after, I talked with a lisp and had a desire to purchase fresh flowers every couple days. It eventually wore off, but until I know exactly what happened, its only Discovery and HBO for ole Cavscout!! CS

Man, Im not going to name any names, but some of you guys have to take an extra second and check your punctuation and spelling, I mean, my brain, actually HURTS, now that I read this post. I finally got home the other night, after about 3 weeks on the road, and got to catch up on some of the topics. Is somebody really going to tell me that a blurry picture of a bunch of SS boxes made so many people think that this car was re released and even caused an uproar by a few??!!! I have one word- Suckers!!!!! I dont know for certain, but Im beginning to think that these toys rot brains after prolonged exposure. I could not believe that caused 11 pages of responses to that little joke. Oh well. That was funny Chris, but I have to say, I didnt buy it for a minute. Why cant we just worry about our own showrooms? I say that half jokingly, and with complete respect towards netsmith, but its like why do I have to worry about other people complaining about information I may have in my showroom that is outdated, ie, trades, and then putting the mods in the position of deleting stuff. Honestly, I am a truck driver by profession, and time is not something I have tons of quite often. I could see deleting anything that has to do with ebay promotions, but its tantamount to a problem we often encounter here in the U.S.; somebody dislikes something, and gets a law passed because of it. I always try to keep my showroom up to date, I just hope I dont have to worry about stuff being deleted because of one reason or another. Just my two cents. Scott

Hey Woober, Are you sure that is not a Racer Beagle? I know the Racer Beagle is an exact copy of the Optima. I did not think there was another clone. Is the gold chassis one solid piece or multiple parts? About the only good thing I can say is that the top deck looks like an aftermarket one produced by JG some time back. Any markings on the motor? Cheese and Rice!!!!!!! Everybody is so worried about hurting somebody elses feelings all the time. Its a business transaction. The buyer has the right to question something, and the seller should be given the opportunity to respond and work something out. My only problem is this false sense of unbridaled confidence in dealing with somebody just because they are part of the Tamiyaclub community. I would just advise to beware, as membership to TC does not pronounce one a saint. I dealt with a guy a couple years ago who had a huge showroom. Tons of cars, always responded to forums, and one time he listed a bunch of stuff on ebay, and one of the things was a vintage, nib, speed controller for the SRB buggies. His lising was rotten, and I was like the 4th person to see the entire auction, so I bid, and won it for $15.00. I paid via paypal, and he never contacted me again, or sent the item. My point? Word of mouth gives alot of creedence to ones reputation, but just watch out. I may sound bitter, but that is because I suffered some real stingers in my time.

Hey guys, Speaking of manuals, I caught wind from a couple tc members that somebody has a Hot Trick manual. Anybody know who has it, and if it is for sale, going to be uploaded to the site, ebay, etc. ?

Hey Neo, Here is a good rule of thumb, if the car is owned by an American, then you c-a-n! []Christ, these are pictures of somebodys toys, not successful pictures of some surgeons brain tumor removal. I dont know, but I think the Americans (well at least my friends- all 2 of them) would be more honored to see people using there cars and trucks as examples, rather than offended. Just my two cents. I disagree, I think the combination of dirty and mis matched parts make for some fantastically ugly creations. I guess having a fetish of keeping every car sparkling clean is a good idea, but I think I am not alone when I say alot of fellas have jobs, lives, families and to get a few spare minutes when it is nice out and there is a space available to run is a real treat- point being, my cars usually go right back in the box when I get back from a little running, and if I get time for cleaning, great, but more times than not, they get a quick inspection, large debris removed and a little lubrication.

I know the seller you are talking about. He wont answer questions about his auctions, and I wont buy from him because he charges outrageous shipping prices. Hope you get your stuff. If I were you, I would leave some blistering feedback. What else you gonna do?
