  1. This consists of An assembled mint chassis New in bag HPi front Carbon damper stay. New in bag HPI Rear Carbon damper stay. You just need to put on your gearboxes from your ta01/2 and you have a very cool and collectable car. You aint gonna find a set like this easily. Make me an offer Cheers C
  2. Personally I think its great when people work on upgrading the cars. The TT01 with carbon chassis is a new car and I'm really hoping that its racing next week (where were you tonight mate?) I'm interested in the saddle pack conversion for the ta05 myself... if only I could find somewhere that sells it!
  3. Wanted to run this, but having a clear out. Its a predator touring car chassis, needs a motor mount (about 6) from the pred shop. Could do with a re-build and comes with a steering servo. Offers or maybe swap for something else (interested in a micro RC)
  4. Does anyone have a ta05 carbon chassis conversion that they want to sell for cheap... Unlikely I know, but I have to ask..
  5. Whilst tinkering in the garage on my Rc-boys car. I looked at fitting a torque diff in the rear, then I thought.. whats the actual benefit of this? The car is running a 15t motor now and it races on a tight carpet circuit. At the moment the Bevel diff is nice an loose, so it swings around the corners well, the only thing I can see that the torque diff will give me is some adaptability for making it stiffer.. but will that give me over steer? Cheers
  6. Yeah, a 380 has no problem with 7.2 v
  7. I'm working on my 'TRF' RC-boys car. Adding suspension to it is the next big hurdle. I've also making a Dakar style racer with twin motors using the ta01 and ff01 gearboxes.. The other thing is painting my repsol escort.. I've had the car for years, but I'm scared I will mess up the shell.. I did the Piot one fine, but the shells are becoming sooo expensive now (70 ish) Its putting more pressure on me not to get it wrong!!
  8. Bits of the chassis have ben cut already to add suspension on, My little lad thinks the wild ceptor shell is the best thing ever, so it goes on the car once its not racing and in his bedroom...
  9. Welcome to the Club! RC boys are top cars, see the link for it racing against some TT01's
  10. A little video of a (lucky) win tonight... I think Ive fixed the crunching sound (the rear diff housing was a bit loose!)
  11. But then it wont look right.. and erm.. it will affect how the car handles... I think I might need the Tb Evo ones...
  12. Can you help me? I want some blue aluminium servo mounts for my Ta05 MS. I was told the ta05 ones fit, so I bought some (the lightweight ones) and whilst they are the correct size, they do not fit the MS (The one on the left has no thread as you are ment to screw into the chassis.. Anyone got any info? Cheers C
  13. ok, the gears are like this pinion (17t) Spur (56t). Spur pulley (16t) - middle gear (16t) Diff (39t) When calculating the ratio, do I calculate the internal ratio as 16:39 (giving 2.43) and negate the internal 16t gear as that is just at a simple 1:1 ratio as it is just involved in the drive chain to the diff)
  14. Luckily it didnt go pop, but it didnt work well So I bought a choke and its super smashing great now Best 1.40 I've spent in a while
  15. Got a light kit already So no hop ups needed then what about the springs / stabiliser set?
  16. Hi All, Whilst working on Phase 2 of the Voltect Fighter 'TRF' project I am looking at internal gear changes. I know how to calculate the basic ratio of Spur / pinion. But I want to know how to calculate the transmission ratio so I can make accurate assumptions for the voltec fighter. Is the transmission ratio the ratio of all of the remaining gears up to the axle? i.e in a ta05 you have a 16t centre shaft going to a 36t pulley on the diff that drives the wheels? Giving a ratio of 2.25? is it that simple? When looking at shaft cars (like the voltec), do you calculate the ratio of 2 gears and then use the result of that ratio against the next gear in the chain until you reach the final gear that drives the wheels? Cheers
  17. Hi all I have a CR01 ready and waiting for my Birthday, What would be essential hop-ups for the car apart from brushless systems. I'm after crawling and bashing the car. Cheers
  18. Slipper clutch 20 Front oneway 25 Titanium screw set. 25 or all together for 60 inc postage
  19. Ok, for the ta05 there is a front oneway, and a centre oneway, what is the difference exactly? is it that one is more like a spool (front) whilst the other gives you a front diff (Centre) Also what is the benefit of having both like the top touring car drivers use (Trf msxx etc come with both fitted as standard). Cheers
  20. cheers, been looking and the evoV bumper plate (54089) isnt released yet. Is this the same as the 415msxx one? if so that part is available.. well from tamiya USA it is.. which is a pain as in the UK there is no proper Tamiya supplier (well none that stock trf parts)..
