Anyone fancy putting on a show or turning up to show off some of your pride and joys at

HAMBLETON GALA.

The organisers have been intouch with us and asked if we'd like to take part here's some of the details:

The gala has plenty going on, we ran a motor areana a few years ago with great sucsess, we have now moved to the big field there will be a fun fair, fancy dress etc lots fo kids, as well as a gala procession.

I was also thinking you could run some cars in the procession if you wished we entering a few classic cars, its about 30mins walk.

You can have as much space as you like and I would recomend you bring a gazebo and tables etc for your models, your welcome to do as much promotion as you like I could also supply you with coned off area if you wish to demostrate your cars during the event I will need to know how much space. You could bring a few ramps etc. Just let me know and will sort it all for you.

As its the field there will be no power so you will need a generater if you need 240 v I will have one but will be powering DJ equipment.

There is a beer tent as well....

If you fancy a bash at this then please let me know asap then I can let them know, unfortunately I shall not be able to attend. But sounds like it could be fun and good bit of space to be had, not sure about the parade bit though - gonna need a good sized ampage battery to run for half an hour.

Any way let me know like say and then I can pass it on or if some one wants to take it on and arrange it directly let me know and I'll send the organisers email for you sort what you'll need as regards space etc.

Hi Everyone

As some of you will have notice, we have a slight problem with this Forum, which began back at the begging of April.

I'm not going to go in to all the ins and outs of the problems, but lets put it this way, it is compromising the way that this Forum is operating, and basically even if we coughed up some cash to get a copy of the database (which to what I have found and understand this ain't going to work either) in order to migrate to another forum producer, we are left with the problem of setting up another forum.

Now then I've got one in the setting up process at the moment and this gives us even more control and add ons, and much more control, and as I understand it is more reliable than this one, plus I can down load database back-ups each week or when ever is convenient for when things go pear shaped.

Now I'm sure that your just as *miffed with this situation as I am, but this will mean everyone's got to move location AGAIN!! so this is what I'm proposing to make things easier for each of you is to do the following:

1. I'll set up everyone's account with a password al that you will have to do is sign in and change the password in your profile.

2. I'm going to attempt to copy some of the content from this one to the new one.

3. this is only (hopefully be a temporary stop gap because in the meantime Sgt.Barnes and I are in the process of trying to sort a fully working, and hosted on our own server, which we're hoping to transfer to. This will mean that there will be no more *messing about with other hosts and we can jump on any problems that arise.

Now before I do all this I need a bit of feed back from you all (or as many of you as possible) as to continue with the content transfer, because this is going to take time, were as if we leave the content behind and just transfer we can be back up and running very soon once I've tweaked one or two of the setting on this new one (sounds like I'm trying to get out of this - but hey this will save time).

Because of the problems and other problems (eg. Health and other commitments) this forum has become a monster for which I can no longer keep on a leash, and to be honest is going to implode on itself. This holding us up from keeping and getting the main site maintained and updated. There are new pages being produce but this is taking time and hopefully the end result will be well and truly worth the wait, as far as we know most of you have enjoyed the site so far, well hopefully soon the intend for it to be able to give you more to interact.

Each of you will receive a copy of this posting and I would very much appreciate it if you could get back to me as soon as possible.

If all goes well I'm hoping to have a new one sorted and hosted on our servers within the next month or so, that way hopefully we can be back on track.

All I ask is to reply to this posting with yes or no and if the majority say yes then I'll send out the link for the new one very soon after, this is hopefully only a stop gap but anything's got to be better than this bag of *tosh.

Does anyone know how we can have our TC username changed in our TC account and on the forum as I've just paid the bill for another 12months subscription and thought it was time to change my username. When I change it in my account under 'edit account' and click on the update button and log out afterwards and then log back in there is still no change.

Anyone any ideas?

Right boys and girls as promised a new update has just happened, not as big as first hoped, but we are still working on the rest. We have now linked up this new forum to the site too if you have not already noticed. The next load of updates will be updating the pages we already have online e.g. a new diary for the next two years, new photos in the gallery, and general stuff like that. We will still be working on the new stuff too, but it will take some time to finish, as you can appreciate a lot of work goes into building each and every page.

[Food For Thought Spam]

It appears that some people in the world have nothing better to do than send us useless email spam, now they'er starting to do it through TC's movie comments .

I received an email today saying that a comment had been left for one of my movies. On opening the email nd reading the content, I then proceeded to hit the link to my showroom (which incerdently is currently unavailable, as my subscription has lapsed, just for now) and sure enough there it was a nice long comment.

Unfortunatley this comment had no baring or relivence to the movie, and proceeded to to explain all the content available on another site (you no the type I mean ), this commment has now been removed and on reading the email again, the email had come through TC but was left by a non-member I presume is identified as 2@thewhiteningkits.info .

I think that it is time that these people took there SPAM and kept it for their beens or their butties (which their prefrence), if I won't spam I'll go to the local supermarket and buy it myself, emailing it or leaving it online in a comments section only leaves a bitter taste and makes it harder to cook, however it got tourched this time with the delete button.

Maybe it's time that only comments from members only can be left and this would slice the Spam a little thinner, (goes crispier quicker when you tourch it), therfore no loonger leaving a bitter after taste.

Cheers to whoever it was, but not keen on fatty slimmy junk... especialy when it come via email it makes such a mess...

I included the email address for the depositer, in case any of you would like to send him some movie comments of your own....

I have mentioned some of the above, in the past Biggus, but normally on the phone . Morecambe could make a good bashing spot but may be a bit far for some (right on my door step ).

As for bashes we were hoping to arrange a Chrimbo bash but alas, this ain't gonna be an option for me, I'm going to be out of action now until well after new year .

However if you manage to fit something in between now and Chrimbo, some vid and pics would be good for the site.

FINALLY... we have managed to get a couple of updates done for the website.

Please try the stereo, Barnsey its a long time in coming but here is your tune!

If you have any requests for the stereo put it on the stereo forum.

On a more serious note , we have included a new section on Meet Etiquette and Bash Requirements for you to all read and digest. This has been put together for everyones benefit so please try to comply.

A big update should be with you all nearer Christmas, with smaller updates in between.

[How Is 2009 So Far?]

So, 2009, what has it brought for me... well apart from tons of medication (been poorly for a long time) I must say that the wife is still putting up with me. Has anyone seen that advert on tv for Britains got talent (UK) where the fella is in bed snoring and the wife puts her pillow over her ears, well my mrs said the other day she often felt like that but had visions of the pillow over my face instead of over her ears. and I havent even got on about my models yet! Nah actually she's ok, let me buy Sgt. Barnes's terra crusher last year (without realising what it was ) preceded to have a look in his showroom afta the dirty deed was done and still let me have it (she hates monster trucks especially nitros). She does get a bit uppity when I run the buggies around the living room and brake her stuff though oops and I have to say I love her to bits and yes she is stood over me right at this moment reading every word I type with a mean look in her eye hi babe...

After getting everything ready for this weekend, Cars, Batteries, Butties (worked out not made), and set up ready to tear up some sand dunes, now comes the bad news....

Due to unforseen medical problems I'm going to have to bow out of this meet as will Blu & Pipastrell, but there's always the possiblity for next time.

It would have been great to make the first Ainsdale for the year but alas no go, so anyway, hope you have a great day and hope the weather holds out (keep dancing Rich ) and get lots of pics and vids and may be we can start to get some more on the site.

[Question About Running On Sand]

Some of the best Northwest Nutters bashes have been at the beach. We do not seal or bag anything we just take all the radio gear out before we give it good brush down and hose it but if you are using the wife's shower make sure you do it while she is out and clean it before she gets back After drying it out completely drop a bit of oil on your motor ends and you are ready for the next day's beach bash. Every so often give it a good strip down to make sure there is no sand in the gearbox.

Hi chaps

Been at this one for a while but I have finally managed to put a start stop button on the car dash stereo so if you do not like the track that has been requested you can either:

A) refresh the page, very time consuming and can lead to RSI

or

login to the NWN forum and request a tune on the request a tune topic thread, also very time consuming, can lead to RSI but very rewarding when we have a right good laugh at your musical tastes (Barry Manilow indeed!)

or

C) press the little black button on the stereo and hey presto no more dodgy music

good eh

oh yeah don't try and start the stereo by pressing the little black button its only there for show, no sorry its there to stop it, just click anywhere on the stereo to play it.
