  1. OK. Starting top left and finishing bottom right: Part of a Scorcher speed controller, CRP Hopup Steering arm for SRB, Not sure about the washers in the middle, S Champ front body mount, Scorcher steering servo arm rubber, S Champ top deck rear post, Scorcher Cam Lock, S Champ Racing Speed controller, Scorcher Rear A Arm, Don't know- part of a servo saver?, S Champ Servo saver (part), Unknown ball cup (rod end), S Champ Servo saver (other part), Not sure. EDIT: After a second look at the pic. Both the speed controller parts are from the s champ.
  2. Always cut AWAY from squishy bits!![] I'd just like to say that you learn with age, but I can't. I did almost exactly the same thing about three weeks ago and bled like a stuck pig!
  3. Mike... SO DO YOU []
  4. Just over £100 don't sound too bad for a BRAND NEW Hotshot.[]
  5. Sounds like a great idea to me. I love to see what other people are up to but spend most of my time over on the vintage section. (must be my age!)[8-|] If everything was in one place..........I could find it![]
  6. cianhanrahan is right. The yellowing is caused by a chemical change in the polymer due to exposure to ultraviolet light. This might be removable to some extent on coloured plastics by removing the surface because the dye will stop the light penetration and the 'damage' will be worst at the exposed surface.. on clear plastics there is no barrier to stop the light penetration and the discolouring is likely to be much deeper in the material and impossible to cure and very unlikely to improve. Polishing out any surface scratches will improve the look and clarity of the part, but the colouring is permanent I'm afraid.
  7. Yup. I'm interested. Will mail you tomorrow.
  8. This is great. All these Baja projects on the go![H] I might just have an ally chassis for you Mike [] email me if you're interested (anything except jaffa cakes considered for trade!)
  9. I think people have seen enough pix of mine![8-|]
  10. Like it says, I'm after a tatty Baja Bug body. I don't need the nose or any of the fiddly bits and I don't mind if there is damage to the roof or front end as long as the lower body is in solid condition and I'd prefer it if the windscreen surround was solid (can be cracked on the top). Rear wings can be shot too! so even if it's really ratty it could be just what I'm after. Paypal waiting, or trade for some of my hop up parts for the SRB. Let me know what ya got.[]
  11. Spooky![:|] I've never seen that one, but I did use loads of photos as reference for the build. Next project is gonna be somthing like this.... Anyone got a knackered hard shell they want to donate??[]
  12. While we're on the subject of modifications to the class 5 body, it would be great if the side chrome moulding could go. I've never seen a racer with them on and they come out a bit fat due to the vac. forming. Other wise great body, i've just got another for a runner project. Oh..... and how about a Super Champ body, just the bottom part so you add your own roof. AND.... a proper class 5 buggy body along the lines of this.....
  13. It just gets better and better.[H]
  14. I had a look at this in your showroom. It looks like you've got the beginings of a very nice project. I'm interested to see how the roll cage progresses, since I've been having very similar ideas for my next Class 5 buggy. Keep the pictures coming, i have a feeling this is going to be a winner.[H]
  15. That sand rover is sweet.[H] one of the best I've ever seen. Give me a shout with what you need for the scorcher.[]
  16. You'll need either: Rough Rider or Brat / Ranger rear wheels 'cos they're a bigger diameter.[]
  17. Having seen some of your stuff at the weekend that really means a lot![:$] If I ever find out where you live...I'm gonna steal your Sand Rover![]
  18. Fair enough. I'd be a boring old world if we all liked the same stuff I reckon.
  19. Cheers mate. It certainly got a lot of very positive comments over the weekend, which makes all of the hard work worth while. I just wish I'd had enough time to get her up and running for some of the races!
  20. Thanks for having me.[] Here's some much better pix.
  21. Cheers Mike. Good to meet you at last. [] There are now some better pix in my showroom. CB.
  22. Cheers for the positive comment. In the light of day this morning, I'm a lot happier with how she turned out. A day off from tinkering can do wonders.[] The inner arches/front bulkhead are all part of the body, the interior is basically what is shown in the earlier pictures. I'll stick some more up of the body and interior when I get a chance, been at Kiddy today and back again tomorrow....GREAT FUN!
  23. Some more pix... It's more 'orange' in real life.
  24. Well plans had to change a bit. The main disappointment was all of the imperfections in the body that painting showed up. There was some major distortion on the sides that was beyond repair. Every cloud has a silver lining though, I didn't feel as bad about simplifying the colour scheme so I could get her ready for the weekend![] Really happy with the interior, but I reckon I'm gonna have to start over with a hard body to get a good finish. It might even have a working flip front. Anyhoo, this is probably as far as this one will go. I'm not to fussed that she didn't turn out as well as she should, I've had a chance to try some stuff that worked out really well and have had some cool ideas for next time. Here's some dodgy photos taken in far too bright conditions as a taster.
