What you are after is the Top Force J parts tree, which includes a number of the slice plates and the steering arms that you will need for an FRP\Carbon chassis. There are usually one or two on ebay, if not I will probably have a spare one. Rgds Richard

Hi, you can get the alloy motor plate here: http://www.x3racing.org/store/index.php?ma...p;products_id=9 Rgds Richard

Im about 10 sets away from putting the order in for the Evo decals. I've been guaranteed they will be near if not exact to the originals... Anyone else want some??
-
No no, its fine mate. Dont think it will be any help on th Evo decals...There's too many long strips on there! Thanks anyway..
-
Morly, Can you confirm for me, does your printer print white or silver? Cheers
-
Hi Morloc, Thanks for the offer. What are you suggesting they are created with? Digital reproduction doesnt work, the colours arent bright and vibrant, nor can you get an exact match. I worked in the sign industry for 6 years, and my family own a sign business too so I have quite an insight into reproducing this kind of image. The problem is with these decals to match the colours you need 7 seperate lots of printing. Image of decals attached.. By all means let me know if you have another way. Cheers Richard

Hi all, I'm just testing the water with this one. Some of you may know i've been trying to get these decals reproduced to a very high level for quite some time. Finally I've had a quote to get some Evo decals reproduced to a good enough standard to warrant my interest. Unfortunately, to get them at a reasonable price I need to purchase 35 sets which come in at 20.28 a set. So, that means i need to layout 710!! The sets themselves will be as near as **** it identical to the originals, having been produced in the same way the originals are. I've banded it around a few places and reckon i've probably sold 11 or 12 sets, but I really want to get this upto 20 odd if possible, so I dont expose myself to too much expenditure. I'm not getting these done to make any money off them, I will be selling them at what they cost me, should I get them done. So it will be 20.28 + postage costs at cost. Potentially this may go down a few pence. Please let me know if your interested, and how many you'd like? Cheers Richard

Super Astute on Ebay
DI Joe replied to muckute's topic in Off-Site sales plugs, tips & gossip - Including eBay, Gumtree etc.
From what i've seen of other cars I think your asking too much for it... Hence your having to re-list it. Rgds Richard -
I purchased it off ebay as an evo last year.. whether it actually was originally or if the previous owner turned it into one i dont know. The chassis is the carbon 53100 set, I put this on after snapping the previous one, which was a proper evo printed top deck. Either way you look at it its still a stunning car. The screw set I changed for a more up to date titanium set as I had planned to race evo's again and wanted a hex drive screw set. There 3 racing titanium. I put the GPM shocks on there as again, for racing they seem a bit better, far easier to adjust at the track and have better travel in my opinion. The original parts you mention are for sale on ebay at the moment, hi-caps and shock towers. More shots of the car can be seen here in my showroom: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...05&id=17365 Hop Ups on the car: [*]uj's front [*]Alloy Shock Towers [*]Alloy front and rear suspension arms - very rare!! [*]Alloy steering set Cheers Richard

Steve, think I might be interested... Apart from the scary prospect of a 15 scale monster!! Is it easy to run etc? dont seem to get on that well with nitro cars. I see in your show room you've got a top force.. I can do you any GPM parts as part of a trade, including alloy chassis and shock towers. Would you be interested in a NIB 30th Anniversary Porsche as a trade?? Cheers Richard

Hi, is there any release dates for the new avante yet?? Cheers

Since destroying 2 carbon chassis sets in my Top Force evo i decided to have some alloy chassis made up and powdercoated in black to make the car a little more rugged. Looks to be stiffer and stronger than the normal setup AND excellent cooling characteristics on the batteryESC. And I think, although I dont have electronic scales a similar weight to the FRP chassis. Given that an FRP set will set you back £12 and a carbon set £44+ i reckon there an excellent deal at just £20+postage. The chassis is seen below attached to my project evo for demonstation. There are and will only ever be 18 of these for sale so you better get them quick! Can be seen here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...24&id=17365

Pic of LIPO's here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=06052007005516 Thanks for the advice guys. I've got the 8000mah battery charging at 4 amps at the moment. Cheers Richard
-
Just to confirm.. it is indeed 8000mah. Is this a bad time to mention my 12000mah lipo too??

Bob, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Tamiya-58087...VQQcmdZViewItem Kind Rgds Richard
-
Can anyone advise me on charging LIPO's. I was advised that you should charge at 1A, but this is taking years as there 7.4v 8000mah. Is this right or can they safely be charged at a higher ampage? Thanks Richard

No, in fact there's been a couple on there recently. One at 732, then one at 600 and something, then one at £530ish. The one at 530 ish sold for under £500 in the end...!
