  1. Depends where in Greater London you are going. Down south you have Mick Charles Models and way over East you have TJD Models
  2. For a bit of fun this year I am going to try and find time to restore a couple of old (and very battered) beetle and blackfoot shells which I have and would like to sit them on SRB chassis. Therefore keen to hear from anyone who would be happy to flog an old SRB chassis that needs a good rebuild / restore. Price is more important than quality at the moment, so happy to consider not fully complete and battered chassis Thanks Andy
  3. Hi. I am bumping this but open to re re parts as well (assuming they fit), but would prefer UK based to keep postage to minimum please. Parts wanted: rear bumper, front bumper and one front headlight Thanks
  4. A few years ago I looked into finding a local club. I wanted to go take a look with the kids, and maybe even get into racing for fun. Thought it would be easy but in the end gave up. I hadn't appreciated there wouldn't be any local off road out door dirt tracks that clubs raced on. Had absolutely no interest in carpet, astro or tarmac. Where is the fun in that?
  5. How do you guys find the paints compare to the usual Tamiya cans? Thanks
  6. Just about to get myself an airbrush and looking around on web it seems Vallejo do spray-able paints for lexan and for hard bodies I have a vast selection to choose from. Was interested in others who use an airbrush, what paints they have tried and experiences they have please. Photos are obviously also welcome. Thanks
  7. Anyone else having problems with site. I have tended not to come on so much recently mainly because I find the look hard work on Laptop, Ipad and phone in case anyone asks), but having tried the last couple of days I seem to get site not found when I log in, or pick a topic from the recents on the left. Tried Google Chrome and Microsoft edge. Thanks
  8. Thanks TBS, but I am keen to try for an original Tamiya one before I settle for something else. Cheers
  9. My daughter has decided she wants to use her Fiat 500, but also wants a new body to spray (a better colour) and keep for the shelf. Anyone got a body (set or parts) that they would like to sel please? Thanks Andy
  10. I'm about to embark on stripping a few original monster beetle and Blackfoot shells Using graffiti remover and wondered how long to leave the stuff on before removing? Previously I have chickened out and only left on for minutes before cleaning off and repeated this a number of times before seeing any good results. Can I / should I leave on for hours instead? Thanks
  11. Thanks Chris. It wasn't a clear option so I hadn't realised you could scroll down after clicking on my username which meant I couldn't see the rest of the options.
  12. Can anyone point me in the direction of the "add car to showroom" button when viewing the site in Safari on an Ipad please? Thanks
  13. Chris, I am definitely one of the haters for the new site, but want to firstly thank you for all your efforts as I can only imagine the work you are having to put in. I also acknowledge you will never please everyone, so despite what I may think and say please don't stop. Regarding the car lists I am amazed you have removed it. Rather than ask what was better about the old way of listing, I would rather understand why it was felt it should be removed, i.e. what was wrong with it? I used to do a ctr F to search for particular cars, but I also used to enjoy looking down the list and choosing a random one that took my fancy at that time to go in and look at. The attraction was being able to view the whole list. I do fear however that with the new font sizes on the site it will not any where near as good now anyway, as it will take 5 minutes of scrolling to get down it.
  14. Probably in the minority but I can't stand it. Why does everything have to be so big. You can no longer scan the front page without a lot of scrolling and standing at the back of the room!!!!!!!!
  15. I keep them all. I love the look of them all piled up on a shelves nearly as much as the cars on display. Happy to receive any that are being thrown out!
  16. So, despite having a number of 2017 projects already lined up, they have all been trumped by my "new" original super champ. Have wanted one ever since seeing Grumpy Pants recently departed example and with the greatest thanks to him I now have one, albeit not quite as good as his finer example. Anyway, rebuild will start soon, and I already know that I will need a rear bumper, front bumper and one front headlight. They don't have to be perfect condition, but I would like originals if possible. In keeping with my OCD tendencies I would also be interested in hearing from anyone with original box and instructions they might want to move on. Preferably UK to keep postage down (and because of poor exchange rate) Many Thanks
  17. Great find. I wouldn't let the kids anywhere near them though!!!!!! Get a cuolpe of mad bulls for them and keep the cars for your own restoration. Or sell them to me to fund the mad bulls. 😀
  18. I want some!!!!!!! ....... although not sure they will be enough to get me through winter!
  19. On the look out for projects for the winter as follows. If anyone has complete cars or parts, then please let me know. (UK based) Cheetah Original Blackfoot Ligier JS9 Matra (Body Parts) Early CS or non CS F1 chassis to sit under my WIlliams FW07 body Original Frog body parts Original Midnight Pumkin Mitsubishi Evo IV body parts 58199 Any F1 vehicles Will also consider anything else from the first 100 Thanks Andy
  20. Haha. He'll buy new replacements for them after they have gone anyway so doesn't matter if he doesn't keep them.
