Well to be honest I hadn't put much thought into it as I had always planned to get her restored but it has been sitting gathering dust for the last few years so if you want to make an offer what the worst that can happen :-) at least she would be going to a good home. Jay

Truckfest Hi all is anyone taking any of their trucks to any of the Truckfest shows this year? I saw a few at the Scottish show in Edinburgh last year and was wondering if there is anyone organizing a meet or anything as I now have my small fleet complete ( well near enough) and would like the chance to show them off :-)

Hi years ago when I had my 1st Tamiya 3pd Truck I had a Acoms 2ch radio fitted with a toggle switch to allow me to change gears (i.e. 3rd ch) Is it possible to do this mod myself to any standard 2ch radio or is it just too complicated

When I had my shop many years ago The Rep for Tamiya was actually working for Riko aka Richard Kohmstan, So I would imagine that you’ll need to find the current UK distribute and contact them. Best of luck Just been on http://www.tamiya.com/europe/euro.htm U.K. THE HOBBY COMPANY LIMITED 01908-209-480

Started on the main truck and one thing went to another and before I knew it most was rebuilt Hidden most of the MFU wires in heat-shrink and cut holes in the cross beams to allow the wires to be fed along one side Cut the original plastic plate for the coupler release and mounted it on top of the servo plate just to give it some more shine, also added telescopic aerial
-
Thanks for all the input, hoping to run the MFU cables close to one of the rails on the rig and make cut-outs in the crossbeams for the cables . The paint on the trailer rails and chassis was nice and dry so could resist putting it together also fitted a nice new set of motorized legs. This is a quick look at the rear with the new lowered sides to give it more of a euro look, also couldn’t stand the chrome mudguards. yet to sort lighting (lots of LED's) The lowered side rails where going to be flat alloy plate then I noticed that I had an old florescent light cover with a ribbed surface almost the same as the trailer sides and looks more in keeping

Wheels, shocks & springs all highlighted Chrome work ready for rebuild New rear bumper for the box trailer New front bumper Bulbar as the Tamiya one just seems to be the wrong shape :-)
-
Chassis rails, gearbox & frames all painted in satin finish
-
Well after a year of it sitting on the shelf gathering dust and being overlooked I finally decided the make a start on my rebuild. 1st was to strip down the complete thing and see what mess I had to clean up Wires for the MFU where all over the place and some of the screws had more thread lock than thread but managed to get it stripped

dropropped Now am I sad for trying it ?
-
I'll get some pic's of my Kyosho one and join if that helps :-)

Well the title says it all has anyone tried making their own stickers with the inkjet printer paper? If so was it worth it and what sort of stuff did you use as there is load on e-bay Or would I be best finding a specialist to print them for me?
-
My plan was to run the extra led's as separate circuit so as to make things simple I think with the price of them I just buy both types and see what works out best Thanks for the help Jay
-
Thanks for the info Never realised the rectangular led’s where so cheap Now the question is can I be bothered filing out about 60 holes in the alloy of the truck or do I go the easy rout and stick with round lights Anyone know it the rectangular one emit less light?

I was sure I had a bumper but cant find it all I could find was front and rear tyres, bearing set and top deck. I keep an eye out as I'm sure I had one somewhere :-)
