Public Liability insurance Do you have any?
Years ago when I few RC aircraft I used to have a basic insurance so if I had an accident and did damage at least I wouldn’t get stung.
My question is does anyone bother with insurance for just normal bashing after all if a nitro car or even a good electric car went off at high speed it could cause a fair bit of damage and if a RC car hit a small child it could be horrendous.

I’m not one for rocking the apple cart but I feel someone has to, It’s now Christmas eve, surely there should be a winner by now?
I appreciate that me asking might upset a few of the powers that be, but if you put competition on a forum or club with set deadlines then surely you have to run by your own rules?
Congratulations to the Winner & a merry Christmas to all

Most of my models are just used as and when. I have never found any good / fun local clubs

Hi I've been looking over many forums for inspiration on lighting for my Tamiya box trailer and the winner so far has been LED's but while watching TV this evening I had one of those eureka moments when I spotted the Christmas tree is lit with one lamp supplying thousands of little fibre optic strands.
So I know one stand wouldn't be noticed but if they were fitted in groups of say 10 or so they should work.
So my question would be is this just pie in the sky or has someone already done this?
Thanks
Jay

I Imagine that they must be like the hydroplane flying things, probably made of foam with a brushless setup and multi channel radio, throttle, steering / rudder, elevator for flight and maybe even some sort of pitch control,
Would be fun for off road tracks, no need to worry about suspension travel

Hey Merry Xmas to you all from me and my family up here in a very frozen Scotland

I have the TXT-1 and the 350 High lift I would say there is more of a build in the high lift and especially with the 3 speed gearbox, there is also loads of extras for it.
If it where me I would say the high lift or even a rig unit, suppose it’s all down to personal taste

I’m not sure if there is a hard and fast rule, I tend to do each one on their own merits sometimes its easer to follow the outline of arches and skirts once there painted other times it’s better before.
If you trim if 1st just leave the external protective film on and pop some masking tape over any exposed surface.
One thing to remember is take your time and if using several colours put the darkest on 1st then the light
That’s all assuming your painting a lexan shell, Also do a quick search on the forum as there are some great tips ( like warming spray cans in warm water to thin the pain)
Hope this is of some help :-)

Here is the manual for the Aeromax Basically the same chassis
You need a servo fitted to select each gear , the servo just holds the selector rod in that gear
http://www.tamiyaclub.com/manuals.asp
http://www.fusionhobbies.com/v/vspfiles/V4...ight_hauler.pdf
The plastic clips are there just to lock it in one selected gear if you’re not using multi channel radio
Hope that is of some help :-)

I was very impressed with your service when I bought a selection of parts. Great communication and fast shipping and great price too.
The other great thing is they are consistent I have bought things before from them and the service is always spot on

Thank You
And have a good Christmas

I’m going to be painting my box trailer shortly and was just planning on rubbing down all the surfaces with a very light grade then coating the whole thing in an etch primer the same as I use on the full size cars before applying the top coats.
Someone might have a better Idea but that just my thoughts

This does seem to be a sticking point with this system. What you need to do is pull down quickly on the right stick let the stick return to center and then push left or right. Key to this is to do it all fast!! Give it a try!! Ant
ant88 I owe you a pint that work a treat
Just striped my transmitter and rebuilt it with a self centring right stick , one quick flick and it works a treat
Who on earth at Tamiya thought it was an easy way to operate the turn signals
Thanks
For all the help

Ok pulling my hair out now as I have spent far too long going through each of the setup procedures and still can’t get the dam turn signal /indicators working with the steering
They work fin in hazard mode they even work left and right in the demo mode but the dam things refuse to work with the steering.
Please someone must know what I’ve done wrong
Ok rant over

-
Ok so its now the 16th, votes where to be in by the 14th
So who got what votes?

Ok thought I would test out the MFU for the F350 and it looks ok but I can’t get the indicators / turn signals to work with the steering.
I have tried the setup but can’t get the problem figured out on my knight hauler they come on when the steering is at full lock but they won’t come on at all unless the hazards are set.
Has anyone got a clue as to what I’m doing wrong?
