  1. anyone out there bought a model or kit from the "hong kong" dealers on ebay. the offers seem very reasonable, but i just wanted to try and get some feedback from any t.c members. most of them have 100% feedback, but i am still a little concerned.
  2. cheers phil, emailed them.
  3. thanks joelvardy, just been on the site rccartips and found it very informative. when you are new at this r/c game, you need all the help you can get. i have been looking for a nitro buggy(300 pounds)for about 3 months, but trying not to rush. all the impartial advice you can get the better. trying not to buy the wrong 1.
  4. anyone got 1 of these for sale !. with or without electrics.
  5. i think you know what i meant crash, we all can,t wait!
  6. quite new to the r/c scene, but the work you are putting into this project is epic. hope you win something with this hummer and i am sure you are inspiring others. so come on hurry up, were all waiting!.
  7. i used to work at "center parcs" and the idea of involving them had crossed my mind. will make a few phone calls today to see how the land lies. my man in england has suggested getting schools in the area involved. i.e- let the kids build, paint and race the cars etc. even though cannot get meeting at council till later on, noboby seems to have a problem with all battery powered cars. p.s could hold official races at venue.
  8. thanks terry for the sites, got some good ideas from them. reading the feedback i think i will go for 2 tracks, 1 for racing & 1 for fun. i am back in england next week & will be visiting some tracks you suggested & others i have found. got a cad expert who is going to do some 3-d tracks 4 me. my main man is going to apply for planning permission today, the only problem i can see is that "center parcs holiday village"is about 3 miles away. they got the stock car/trials area closed down, so this goes to the next question. what kind of db level can i expect from a nitro? after speaking to a number of people think i will ask brca to advise on race track. many thanks
  9. cheers eek, brought back some memories.
  10. the model i have found is a 1/24, does anyone know if it is and was possible to run car with a battery(powered).? many thanks
  11. i agree more with singapore on this 1, if your going to have an off-roader, use it 4 what its made 4. i think there is nothing better than stripping down and re-building the car after a day at the beach. mud has been mentioned by more than 1 person. i do like some of the ideas, the ski-jump seems really cool. also the water would only be 2-3 cm deep. did take note about the insurance and i have emailed some relevant parties. i am not against the brca in any way and think they do a great job. its just that if i want to create the best off-road track, i dont want people saying " you can only do this or must be a certain a width" etc. found land in sherwood forest, england. ( my former home ) think i,m going 4 it. please keep ideas coming.
  12. if i was to build the best off road track ever, what could i include in it. i am not going for brca rules & regs, to much bother & polititics. just want ideas what you think could & should be included. 1 member suggested a water hazard & x-over jump. all ideas welcome.
  13. forgot to ask time you meet at cafe !
  14. i am a new user of tamiya club and find it very helpful. the replies you get to your question are normally serious, by people that know what they are talking about. someone in this club has been there, done it and bought the t-shirt. all they are doing is sharing this knowledge with you. what you do with it is up to you. maybe you should change the way you ask your question, to get a different type of answer. hope this helps-benidormboy
  15. do you meet at the main gate? and if so, what time. i am back in england then picking up 2 more mad bulls. would be good to along.-benidormboy
  16. thanks acorn & `[ [ z ] ] , you were both spot on, it was just a low battery. noticed the standard blue battery is a 1400, so went out and got a 2100 & 3000 as extras. been onto beach this morning with the bull and it goes well. looking foward to my next 2 mad bulls coming. many thanks eddie (benidormboy)
  17. the front wheels on my mad bull work fine, until you touch the foward/reverse controller. at this point they will not work at all. at the rear, i have no foward/reverse control.if i move the controller manually the wheels work fine. also the rear end seems to ignore the on/off switch. can anyone help as this is my 1st model many thanks
