  1. you should keep a regular stance, as you can use your left hand/arm to block your opponents initial attack. this then gives you the advantage of responding with your right (strongest) hand/arm. remember "self-defence" is what it says, reading your opponents move and reacting to it. remember all the power comes from the hip and/or shoulder. good luck!

  2. hi dj, just been on the rc-champ site. when you get the lingo changed you know these boys are into r/c big style. everything about them is good, the same as you said. think this company will be 1 to watch/use in the future. p.s. long live queenstown, adrenaline junkies heaven.

  3. hi phil, just an enquiry about this hose. is it possible to use on a brca track. do you think they would they approve it as an official "boundry" on a track, or do you know if the "boundry" of a track at the clubs discression?. hope you can help with this one.

  4. lots of valid points made here, but lets get one thing straight it,s all about PROFIT. tamiya is just like any other company in that it has to keep that total at the bottom of the page looking good. production costs are cheaper in the places mentioned above, but what normally happens is that it they need time to "adjust". after this adjusting stage you will find the quality will get better. what you will find is that parts will get passed from hand to hand, rather than machine to machine. so when they get "sorted out" every part will get a visual inspection. which means better quality control. after seeing the factories for myself you soon realise that the chinese are coming into r/c, and will have a finger in every pie soon enough. example- the cheapest budget nitro buggy i could find 3 months ago was 120-140 pounds. now i have just seen 1 from china buy now 87 pounds. lets hope the quality of our cars (tamiya) does not drop to much.

  5. hi bazil, i bought 2 nitro acme condors(1 pro) and within days they had fell apart. even though they say spares can be ordered now and are plentyful, its a load of bull. i cannot say what the 2 electric cars are like what your friend is looking at, but 4 the same money you can get a budget tamiya. the main difference is that spares ARE plentyful, and you have got a great site here if you have any problems. go for a proper make like tamiya and dont make the mistake i did, looked at the ad and thought you got just that little bit more 4 your money. it must show you think tamiya,s are a good make, as you choose this site to ask 4 advice. hope this helps.

  6. my father in law got a volvo 850 btcc with all elecs for 40 pounds at a local buy/exchange shop. the only trouble is that there is a serious bad crack above both rear wings. whats the best glue/cement he can use, as he said he didn,t see the damage at the time. was either to excited about find or as blind as mr magoo!!!.

  7. i did exactly as you said suzy and mentioned that i was a t.c. member. alright i did not get any discount but it seemed to get their attention. the question i asked about my "concerns" was answered within minutes,(could have been just good timing i suppose) bad P-R is the last thing you want when you are in buisness, i hope the professionalism shown by this company (dragonshop) will pay dividends for them. could not help but notice our friend,s (bjo) rating is down a little again.

  8. i have just looked and realised that time tunnel models & fusionhobbies are both uk based. the 1st thing is that they are "home based" & they are also sponsors of our site. i might not use them everytime, but i will deal with them if only for the 2 reasons stated above. ( jobs for the boys and all that )

  9. i  must say that reading through this post, and on other forums, the hong kong sellers seem to come up trumps. the price and speed seem to be excellent, except for 1 of them. i suppose i can say the name in spanish without any comeback. (grande/juan/oceano) i have used dragonshop,  and if all goes well i will try stellamodels next. reputations can be damaged on posts like this, lets hope that someone will get his act together. blakeatron, 72 hours(ish) from the other side of the world, who delivered your parcel SANTA.

  10. ordered 2 models from dragonshop today, but 1st i emailed them with my concerns about some other hong-kong suppliers. i explained that i was a member of T.C. and that there were over 18,000 members. they assured me that there would be no problems with orders or long delays. they did not want to "upset" a possible 18,000 customers. if all goes well i will do the same with stella, jr-rc and hong kong cowboy. hope this helps.

  11. was out today with my mad bull and it only ran 4 about 6-8 mins on full power, is this normal?. i have got 3 batteries which have been charged up over the last 3 nites. wild pack 1500, powerzone 1700 and powerzone 2100. these were charged with a ripmax charger ( in-50hz ac 0.03a, out-6v-7.2v 120ma ). i have a ansmann ac 30 fast charger coming from the uk next week, will this be any better?( dont know spec ). i have read that the vapextech batteries are very good. will the 3300, 3700, 4000 or 4300 give me more run time, or is there something wrong with my charger?. i only want 20 mins a battery, dont think it is a lot to ask. can anyone help as this is all quite new to me!. p.s. will changing the wheels on my "bull" for fighter buggy ones reduce the power output!.

  12. hi chris b, on the carson section on your "building of a stratos", you say that the body of the stratos was stretched to fit on a tt-01 chassis. if i bought a tt-01 car (subaru etc) and a stratos body from modelsport, will the 2 fit together ok!. i am new to r/c but dont mind a bit of work if i get the end result. thanks for any help.

  13. been looking into this "hong kong" dealers a little closer, and i reckon you can save between 20%-30% on most models. checked out 6 of what seem to be the most popular models on t.c. thats the dark impact to a lunchbox. feedback ratings on ebay, dragonshop 99.6% & bigjohnocean 96.5%. on reflection i think i will stick with stellamodels or 1 of the others and pay the extra.

  14. excuse me for butting in on your bmw/stratos talk. i am looking for a r/c lancia stratos, 1/8 or 1/10. i have posted for info on the vintage forum, but to no avail. i found some tamiya versions of the stratos, but these were only static models. if any of you guys can point me in the right direction i would be very grateful.( make & model No )
