  1. Kamtec do a Repro 959 which you maybe interested in. Sadly as HunterZero says once lexan has split there isn't really an acceptable fix.
  2. Have we met before
  3. Hi TamiyaClub friends, A further update on the chassis we now have anodised black and anodised natural finishes just released. They are still precision laser cut, CNC machined and folded but at a lower value for money rate of £19.99 You can get them through our shop here or through Ebay here Black anodised version....... Natural anodised version....... Black anodised version assembled.......
  4. Thanks for all that info Jonny Retro it is very much appreciated and got me all excited now. Mad Zero sounds like a plan I applaud team players efforts!
  5. Does that include booting off the course! Put me down I'd love to come. Jonny Retro is there a format or is it just one big shindig with anything goes!
  6. Hi JLReel - in todays exchange rate it would be $36.65 plus $8.40 delivery. Not looking at doing any rims just yet but there are a few different style bumpers on the way. Thanks for your comment Chris
  7. In my haste to get these on the site before the Bank Holiday I never weighed them. I'll do that on Tuesday Paul and re-post. The material is 2mm think but with the full machined edge it's deceiving on the eye as it looks thinner. LOL! We call him 'Diamond Dave' because of the seemingly impossible parts he can polish. No joke I have taken him some of the worst Motorcycle engine parts before I they come back good enough to eat your dinner off. All the best Chris
  8. Hi Tamiya Friends, We now have had a batch of polished aluminium SRB chassis available to fit the Sand Scorcher and Buggy Champs. Made from high quality light-weight and strong Aluminium with a fully machined edge and CNC precision folded. Our version extends further than the stock kit item and protects the clear radio box and minimises further dirt ingress under the body. Highly polished finished by our craftsmen for a showroom finish. Our upgrades are designed as a direct replacement for the original kit chassis. Can buy through our Webshop Here ..... slightly cheaper than Ebay at £22.99 or through Ebay Here..... at £23.99 (fee's etc., contribute to this price) Our Polishers in action.... Until next time TC friends...... Chris
  9. Great topic. I've never done any panel lines on RC cars, though I've often admired and WOW'd out many of the showroom entries which have been done. I wanted however to chuck in my pennies worth. When I was in my 1/24th static building phase I used to thin the paint down alot and simply load up the brush with the thinned out paint and touch the top of the shut line and if careful enough it used to run down the channel perfectly. Obvious points to note, not TOO much on the brush but enough, move the body to roll it down the channel and with some tissue at hand wipe of any excess that creeps out on to the body. Unless your making a shelf queen and it's an ABS body then this wouldn't be much use, thought I'd chip in though. Night all!
  10. Hi TC friends, New Hotshot bumpers HOT (pardon the pun) off the press. Available in anodised black or anodised natural finish these bumpers are laser cut and CNC formed to accurately skulpt to the underside of the Hotshot protecting the steering. A more aesthetically pleasing bumper over the kit item, this gives the overall model a more purposeful 1:1 look. Natural colour matches the aluminium roof whilst the black is a satin look finish. TC Members £11.50 + £2.50 P&P to the UK, rest of the world £5.50 simply message me with details and I'll forward payment email...... And also our on-line shop where they are the standard price of £11.99 + £2.50 P&P to the UK, rest of the world £5.50.... Which is HERE... And finally through Ebay for £12.99 (price due to the fees) + £2.50 P&P to the UK, rest of the world £5.50.... Which is HERE for BLACK & HERE for NATURAL P&P prices in the UK are recorded & insured signed for and overseas is airmail with insurance and signature. Overseas is high price postage from UK unfortunately! Other Tamiya hop-ups available on our site..... NATURAL VERSION BLACK VERSION Until next time friends Chris
  11. I often visit this site and have a look at how our RC friends in the Czech Republic do things. Never seen any reference on TC about them then suddenly thought I'd best post something then and bring it to your attention. Looks like great fun and very professional site and organising of the events. Check out the Gallery and look at the video's.... Still makes me laugh at how they run after the cars but then again you'd have to judging by how long some of the tracks are. Can't help but smile as I'd always be flat on my face or treading on my car!! Check the rallybrno site out
  12. Brother VC, I think Carson in Germany did some Lotus Esprit way back. They used to do some great retro bodyshells but sadly don't know where to get them from anymore and even if they still make them. Can't see anything on their website to say they do still make them.
  13. You've done a great job JR
  14. Try HERE knotty they have a good selection on offer though I'm a product of the Metric era and these are Imperial measurements.
  15. It was probably 12 months ago now but to get the RS500 Cosworth, 6R4 and the RS200 they wanted a minimum order quantity of 10 per car at £30 each minus delivery and customs etc., etc.. Though I wanted them for myself seriously I didn't think I could shift another 9 sets at that price!
  16. WOW. Many thanks Neo. I've been after the Sierra Cosworth and 6R4 for ages in a decent scale and detail. I've even contacted Frewer in AUS about getting a batch up and running again.
  17. The liquid I use is called Plastic Weld made by E.M.A Model Supplies Ltd., and works perfect. As mentioned by WillyChang it actually welds the two pieces together practically in an instant and is not messy like glue. The glue won't stick styrene very well at all. For £2.50 and with liberal brushing I've still got 3/4 of the 57ml bottle after building all of the Garage Scene. I use 0.5mm sheets when you want to bend and manipulate and 1-2mm for all the strong builds. 'I' beams and 'L' angles in various sizes are a perfect for joints etc.. Honestly let your imagination go wild as you can literally build anything and with it not being messy you will have loads of confidence in no time. Tools wise it's a sharp knife set which you can score then bend to split for a perfect line, ruler, mitre box set and scissors. All the best Chris
  18. LOL! Like it Jonny Retro. Really neat I like it. Hat off to the chap for the design and patent. It sounds just like the real deal, if they could make a more compact design I'd have one.

These machined adapters simply replace the standard kit disc and locate in place via the same pin through the axle. Will fit the following chassis: - Racing Buggy 'Sand Scorcher' - Racing Buggy 'Buggy Champ' - Grasshopper - Wild One - FAV - Hornet - Lunchbox More info or to buy from our site which is slightly cheaper here If your prefer Ebay here Until next time friends......
  20. Hi WW-nut, I've ammended the postage rate on our site there was an anomaly of .45p in postage on this particular item. Ebay is the way for Worldwide sales at the moment, I'm still trying to configure worldwide in our on-line shop. I will look at a kit of upgrades specific to the chassis in time. We did it on another model but people still prefered to buy separate, don't know if it was the overall price that put them off. Cheers Chris
  21. New releases this week are for the Boomerang & Hotshot. There is a new dual front suspension conversion with all fixings and instructions. A rear suspension mount design with fixings and also an Aluminium bumper. The front suspension conversion will also fit the Hotshot. 22. Try our bumpers here at Grasshopper Bumpers and we also have some long machined wheel hex adaptors out by the end of the week so you can fit any 2wd wheels like this one in my showroom. The hex adaptors will also fit similar axles like the Brat, Hornet etc.
  23. Thanks for your kind words Dean much appreciated. We have alot coming out for Tamiya's over the coming months: - Boomerang & Hotshot front suspension conversion - Boomerang rear multi position suspension conversion - Hotshot Aluminium bumper/skid plate - Boomerang Aluminium bumper skid/plate - Sand Scorcher/Buggy Champ chassis - Plain & Machined versions - Sand Scorcher bumper/skid plates. Below is the 2nd of 3 variantions of the Grasshopper chassis'd bumper/skid plates that proved so popular before. Our NEW short style bumper has been made after listening to all the feedback to our original bumper/skid plates. You wanted a smaller, stubbier version and this Aluminium lightweight skid plate/front bumper fits the Grashhopper, The Hornet, Subaru Brat, The Frog, The Wild One, The The FAV. This new part is finished in a clear natural anodise which gives a fantastic even colour, not to shiny and not to dull, as per your requests. Shown on a Grasshopper chassis Also away from our beloved Tamiya's are these new LIPO tray holders. They have mounting poistions for Schumacher Mi2, Mi3 & 3.5's however some people have simply drilled there mounting hole poitions in the tabs to fit there chassis. At last no more flying cells with using tape alone. This also gives extra protection to the cells and you can stick your counter balance weights on the edge if need be Shown on an Mi3.5 chassis You can buy direct from either our main site or our Ebay site which maybe better for overseas. Until next time Tamiya friends.....
  24. Evo site has this short video of the life sized Scorcher used at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Thought you would all like it!
  25. Nice! A great model which I have myself. I used to go and watch the BTCC back in the day and on their parade lap when they sat on the roof of the road car versions I'd always shout 'Goooooo on Radisich' in a slightly annoying yell. The first few times he'd look around bemused, then he clocked me once, and from the next race on he'd always point and give the thumbs up with a cheeky grin whenever I shouted it!
