  5. This looks like the same bodyshell that a guy on one of the German truck forums has used, i have contacted him and he said that these toys come up on German ebay in red or grey. If any of you are going to try and buy from Hong Kong could you please contact me as i would like to add to your order, i have not dealt with Hong Kong before. OR We know that there is a big Land Rover following here on TC, how about finding out the manufacturer and ordering a batch say 25off? i am sure the price would be much reduced, i could possibly fund it but i would need someone to do the "groundwork"
  6. Got to get one of those............
  7. That may have well been me[] I sent Roger Fratzcher / Bauteil1 lots of money for lots of parts 18 months ago and as yet have received nothing..... I have sent many (100's) of emails and have received only one reply (over a year ago!) stating my parts would be sent on a certain date.. they wern't. i cant say that he is a out-and-out crook, but he has taken my money and as yet sent no parts, yet has promoted his products on ebay, and kept his web site up to date with new products. He is certaily is someone who has good products and a very poor idea of how to run a business.

  17. quote:Your only assuming that they retained the original tooling. My guess is that those molds and such are long gone. Consider that they have replaced their machinery with updated ones. Even if they had the old molds, would they be compatible with modern machineryid="quote">id="quote">A injection mould tool of any age can be fitted and run in a modern injection moulding machine, a "old" mould tool (in serviceable condition) would not present a problem to any mould shop[] It would probably take just a few hours to set even a complex mould tool in the machine, then you would be making mouldings [] But thats just one mould how many sprues in a typical Tamiya[?] each sprue or "tree" represents a machine set-up[8)] The die-cast metal parts are a different matter [] and is something i dont know much about, but there is the new process of "metal injection moulding" which would possibly suit the type of parts in a R/C car, cost [?] dunno[] investment cost would be £$lots but production costs could be low............
