  1. The mods you do will depend on what how you want the car to perform, i wanted a trial truck so these are the mods i have done over the last two years to one of my XC's, its performance off road is very impressive........................ This is what i have done:- Chassis: Cut off the front off the chassis for better approach angle. Cut off all the unnecessary lugs. Transmission: Locked diffs front & rear Ballraces throughout Universal joint front shafts Fitted a motor / gearbox conversion with a toothed belt drive Gearbox uses M3 screws & bolts instead of self tapping screws Suspension: Modified front and rear suspension for extra travel Scratch built rear suspension trailling links Steering: Modified steering for more lock Aluminium steering from Roger in Germany High torque servo Metal servo mount Electrics: Mtroniks ESC Other: Thrown away the body shell and fitted a modified Bruder Actros cab, with scratch built rear bed and roll bar I use Carson tyres as they are a bit softer than Tamiya Lead rings inside tyres Good luck!! id="black">

    tamtech

there seems to be little interest in the tamtech series of cars why?
  5. Dunno I reckon that if you have the technology (and i am sure Tamiya do) it is cheaper than ever before to tool up products, however you may be right when you look at the ratio of scale Tamiya truck against cars/buggys listed on this site
  6. I am sure Tamiya could produce some "interesting" scale models cheaply, the resources they must have for production of tooling must be massive, i think a move toward more "scale" type stuff could attract new people to the hobby
