Hi Everyone, Been building my Avante Re and loving it. I some how lost some shims. If you know the car I lost BT3 x 10 and BT4 x 4. No idea how I lost them but I am in the process of building the shocks and need BT4. Any idea where I can get these? Thanks

I ordered the 3PRKA, a 3003 servo and the 1060 speed control. Now I just need a battery and charger... and paint

Yeah I was planning to get a futaba just because it's what I'm used to. I also saw there is one model down from the 3PV which is the 3PRKA. So it just depends if the 3PV is worth the extra cash.

Thanks I was going to get the quicrun so not sure it can do that. Planning to get the futaba 3pv. They make two models (different receivers). Any idea what the difference is? I want to order today as eBay has a 15% coupon.

Ordered an avante today. I. Sure this was covered elsewhere but I was wondering how does the motor in the kit compare to the original technigold?

Impressive they are making it from scratch. I need to pull the trigger on one of these.

It's amazing how painful this is for me. Part of what I want is a kit I built as a kid (Optima, Hotshot family, Fox) but then part of me wants a vintage I never got which is the Avante. The problem with the Avante for me is since it was the tail end of me being in this it almost doesn't seem vintage if that makes sense. I never saw one in person. I should really get the Optima. When I had it, I built it with a belt drive, robinson gears and gold shocks, drove it once and sold it. No clue why. What car is Kyosho making from scratch?

Right now I'm leaning toward the Avante again. For me it was the right around when I stopped buying cars. I love the Black but it almost seems too new. I still rather a 959 which makes me wonder, there are a couple on ebay that have been for sale forever for 2k. I wonder if I actually offered a grand if one would bite.

That's awesome. Reminds me of my hornet. Great on the beach. Kinda sucks everywhere else. As of this minute I'm leaning toward some version of the avante or the defender or making an absurd offer on a 959 on ebay.

This is all great stuff. Ten years ago I bought futabu gun controllers that came with the ESC so that is why I was drawn to the Tamiya stuff as it was one stop but now that I see how things are I will get the Quicrun 1060. Really appreciate all the help here. Still not sure of the car but am leaning to wanting something 4 wheel drive.
