Tamiya Cowboy

Ok I got the Red striped out and sprayed red today. And you cant see it in the pick but i am going to have to reshoot the white. I sprayed the white and let it dry for 24hrs before I striped it out to spray the red and let the red flash and I cleared it all and the white reacted not sure why I think m reducer was too cool for the mix I did the white. So that will set me back a few more day as it will have to dry very good and Ill have to wet sand and reshoot the white. But I also got more detail done on the pump body too. Pump Panels on and the tread plate put on and I also got the grill done too.

I have been working on the truck I ran into a issue with the nose of the body that slowed me up but I got it fixed and all primer work is done and it is in the White color as i type and will be ready for the red tomarrow i hope. I worked on the rubber wheel flares today gotr them mounted to the pump body. Also I got the hazard decal on the front bumper and the rear of the pump body today it was pretty tricky to do the rear and get it to all line up and the bad thing is I am going to redo it as the red lines are larger than the ones on the front bumper and they were to be the same size.

Here is a pick of the body on the chassis. Had to put it together and take it to the decal shop so they could do some of there work.

Well after a lot of filler work and now I finialy got the body in K2 fill and kill primer Ill wet sand this out and use a DuPont surface primer and scotch bright that and start paint wont be long now this truck will be making fast progress now. I have the decal shop working on the decals now too..

I got a bunch of nit picken work done today on the truck. After meeting with the company and taking a little walk around the plant with Nick and getting a good up close look at the trucks I seen a few things I was not happy with the way the windows looked so I cut the nose off again and lowered it 3/8 of a inch then also cut the side windows to match that 3/8.I also changed the curve in the upper corners of the windshield. Nose Lowered Then I cut the side windows down. Then I made the front bumper and the grill test piece. I also got to play with my shear and break to and made the running boards.

Ok here you guys go. I got the side panels to the body painted and I have added the chrome strip across ed the lower of the body with the DOT tape over top of that. What do you think :-/ [/b]

Ok guys here is a little update..Picks are slow to come as there are 2 sides to this truck so post picks for one side then have to build the other before I can move on.. So here is the picks I did body work on the seams and I used 3m under coating on the under side then I painted the rest of the body with Dupla color chrome so I can start covering the rest of the body with Alum and PMD tread plate. Ok last night I finished the pump house boxing it in and I added the vents on each end of the unite on top of the pump house. Then i had to cut 1 1/4 off the frame as I messed up a little and had to add the back step but no biggy was not too tuff to fix. Next I had to make the side with the roll up doors. They just look like roll up doors but dont. The hole side of the truck is hinged to flip the side down for wiring later. And that is it for tonight going to take a break tomorrow then hit it on Sunday.. [smiley=thumbsup.gif][/b]

Ok guys here we go again I have 4 days to get alot done on this so here we go. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] I cut the last windows and layed out the doors I also made temp lets so I can cut the door out of very thin plastic to do over lay for the door later. Next to start on the back of the body. I am using 1/4 PVC sheet for the inner frame work of the body then I will cut and bend the PMD alum tread plate and plan alum sheet and line the bed of the back. Ok back at it I will up date later again. [/b]

I got the new frame done this weekend and I also put 2 globliner floors together so i could mount the cab. Now to finish the windows on the cab and the front bumper then on to the back half. [/b]

Fill the roof in Time the the wheel opening Need to lower the side window Fill in the grill and cut the body to fit around the frame. [/b]

Well I started this build a year ago for a local fire truck company that wanted me to build a Rc fire pumper truck for them to take to the Fire truck show in Jan 2010. Well I was looking for another builder to build the cab so I could keep working on my stuff but no one wanted to take it on so here we go. Ok 2 Globe Cabs Time to raise the roof First I have to lower the front section of the roof Time for the roof to go up Time for the lower fenders to go New skirts with cab ext. [/b]

Well Andy I had a little loss of mind and bought the 1/6 12 volt jeep one yesterday and tell you what it is a flip'en moose it is so heavy and a unrealy crawler does very well keeps up with the modd TLT pretty well very easy to get more twist out of it and it had plenty to start I just pulled the shocks and trimed the bodys off so they did not bottom out and away you go..I'll get some picks today of my boys bashing it, it is there new crawler...

I have a few bits you might be able to use and I have a friend that has a ton of new bits for on...

Well I have modd my XC all out as most of you know and I have been realy beating the **** out of it and now the steering has took a dump and I don't want to use the stock bits and I need some help getting some mod bit from a Biz in Germany that makes the Alloy...bits I need in a kit or a kit from someone eles...Can anyone help me...[]

I live in the USA and I have been looking for a place to by a LRP puller motor but I have not been able to find a outlet in the USA can anyone help me to find somewhere I can get one...thanks []

Well this is nice I did not think there was any crook's in the club I thought this was the one safe place was here he should be kicked off I see he changed his account on RCU and does not even live in the same town as were I shipped the package but that is why I have talked to a litigator for advice on this.Fruad is against the law even over the bet in the USA...

I had made a trade with a fellow RCU member (ART) I had posted a up for sale or trade a Tmaxx that i had about 2,200 into and very little run time knowing that I would never get my money back I went looking for a nice Tamiya Semi or any other Monster truck..After sifting threw a bunch of offers I settled on a King Hauler that was to be RTR and in new shape with a new paint job on it..So I started asking the normal questins about the truck cause I am big into near perfect modles..I asked about the body and it shape that it was in (Oh it is perfect new paint and looks great) ok so i looked at the picks and it looked nice, and I asked about the shape the chrome parts were in and i was told (They are all looking great and they looked great to him) ok so i went on ask if there was anything that I should know about it and I was told (No you will be very happy with it) Ok so I know I was going to take a hit in value between the Tmaxx and a RTR King Hauler but for a realy nice one I would be happy..So after a bunch of hassel on shipping with this guy that he would ship as soon as he got the tracking numbers for my box and he assured me that he was a good seller and i could check his feedback on ebay and he had no problems in the past so I figuared I was in good hands..So after a few days go by and I am tracking my package as it makes it's way to him it get s to him and he still has not shipped..He finaly ships the day after he gets my Tmaxx and it shows 4 days later..Well when i get the box the truck is pretty much rooling around with nothing around it and the box is half opened I open it up and here is this truck that is in peices and was not RTR but would be after about 2 houres of work the body is junk it had a paint job on it that my 5 year old could do better and the body had 2 crackes in it and some road rash and big nicks in it and was no good to me. The tires were dry rotted rims all marked up and all the chrome parts are shot..So he I have a truck that is worth about $200.00 if I am lucky and is going to need about $150.00 to $200.00 put into it I email this clown and would'nt you know it he never emails me back..So i am just wondering if this falls under enternet fraud and i can go after him or am I **** out of luck..Or is there someone on RCU that can turn this person into?? Anything you guys could tell me would be helpful...Thanks guys and gals

I have just finished my Lancia Rally body 2 weeks in the making it is the best hard body I have done to date..BUT the white came out a little duller than I wanted it and i was wondering if you could used Tamiya clear over the stickers and all??[?]id="size2">
