I use my Avante 2001 on tarmac with Egress wheels/tyres and the thing is a beast! Its fantastic! Personally, I've never enjoyed driving a buggy on tarmac as much as my Avante 2001. Pre warning though, the Hybrid Spikes, they look lovely, but they disappear down to slicks after a handful of goes, they're reserved for off road really. I NEED TO FINISH MY EGRESS BUILD!

Oh, the **** was 'D A M N', but the anti swear filter thinks that word is naughty.

Anyone else find themselves on Banzai with like, 4 cars/trucks in their basket fighting the urge your finger has to complete the transaction? **** you Banzai and your unacceptably ridiculous cheap prices, fabulous service and superb selection of tamiya goodies. **** you!

This is the only solution. The end.

Made of butter unfortunately. The flat headed countersunk ones are the weakest, I'm one for never over tightening screws and I've successfully damaged the head on 3 of them. If there was a set of titanium hopup ones, I'd have had them in a flash!

When you scroll through a news page like this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2501471/Philippines-Typhoon-Haiyan-Bodies-piled-streets-makeshift-mortuaries-overrun.html it puts a radio controlled car kit into perspective.

Do you have a confirmation code for that code, as when I entered it, it said something about having to have, had it sent to you from them, and needing some kind of reference/confirmation number?

Yey a fellow Arcadian! I'm a Jamma+ and Acrade Otaku man when I'm not here on TC. Yeah folks on here are rather ace, I've loved getting into the forum this year.

Mwa ha haaa, I saw the word 'gif' and couldn't help myself

Your wish is my command....

Bah, I never know who to listen too lol. I hear one person telling me 'loads if you're going brushless', others like you're saying, saying 'use very little'. As long as its not going to do any harm, it can stay. I have no plans to empty this out any time soon anyway Its not a patch on one 2001 I bought where when I opened the rear gear casing, it was basically cast in grease, and I aint exaggerating!

That's the one! I'm betting the Vajra highlighted the weakness, one they'd likely long forgotten about until it started causing issues again. Thanks Vajra, you did something useful after all

Thanks man! Yeah they screw 'through' from the other side on a very long screw. The screw itself is quite interesting (how god **** boring does that sound!) as its not an ordinary flat head, countersunk or rounded head, its an ULTRA slimline flat head, its crazy, I've never seen a screw like it. But as it goes through the arm, through a very strong spacer and into the ball end, you could drop a paving stone on it and it wouldn't break. Great update, I have to say.

And the pictures if you can't be bothered reading my likely boring babble...

Hey Guys, the next part of the build thread is up. A few interesting new bits covered in this part! http://tamiyaegress.com/ I have to say, building this is living up to every expectation I've been harbouring since I was 13. So immensely impressed with this kit, its incredible. the UK RRP of £399 is deserved. Enjoy!

$560, at Tower, OUCH! That makes Banzai's $310 feel like an even bigger bargain! I'm betting that price is hiked to ride the 'short supply' wave. Cheeky blighters.

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words about the site, its much appreciated! I never thought that anyone would ever look at the site to be fair, it was just a personal project, but when I landed on TC and found that quite a few reference the site, I was rather overjoyed! I didn't get chance to work on it last night but hope to tonight all being well. With regards to putting another chassis plate up to it, I've not got a loose one knocking around and don't fancy pulling another car apart at the moment as my office is packed with half built cars as it is I'll happily do a shot of the two cars next to each other at the end for comparison though! I'm planning on doing a big family photo of these babies too, 1 re-re Egress, 3 originals and 4 2001's. Should make for a great pic!

Well, I was gunning for two, runner and shelfie, but every place I ordered 2 from said it was one per customer. So I wouldn't be surprised if the above orders get an update email soon saying 'we can only give you one' Either that or Banzai and ETamiya hate me for some un-known reason
-
And in good spirit, here's all the photos (sorry about the border, they're off my site)... More to come
-
YEY, finally got a few hours on this last night, so the site has now been updated. Check out part 1, hopefully I can get some more done tonight for part 2. Its going together like a charm! http://tamiyaegress.com/

Its only a pre-order I'm afraid dude. They're stock isn't in until Mid December.
-
Now THAT is good news. All they need to do is bundle in some white wheels and boom, we have everything we could ever want
-
Easy fix. Buy a spare Egress re-re wing mount, stick it in your vice, apply a dash of hammer, problem fixed
-
Ha, thanks man! I was tied up working until 11.30pm last night (started at 9am lol) so STILL haven't got started. My XBOX One is due to arrive this morning too...this weekend is going to be a battle of wills between building the Egress and playing my XBOX And then Monday its back to silly work hours again lol. This is the downside to working for yourself...you never stop.

Banzai are ridiculously cheap for hi-caps, $18 for rear, $22 for fronts, but they are almost never in stock. Worth getting on their mailing list though
