When I read the last few posts on here I realise just how much of a 35yr old (25yrs playing with RC) noob I am lol. Sticking in a ballrace set, putting in a slightly quicker motor and err, oh yeah, a higher capacity battery is about as far into 'modification' as I've ever known. Actually wait, no, I am hardcore as I changed the amount of spacers in my shocks once! I don't even know what half of what you chaps are saying even means ha haaaa. Man, I've not even dabbled with the dark arts either, you know, brushless and all that lipo stuff Gimme a bog standard Egress, a sport tuned motor, a 3500mah NIMh and a little off roading and I'll feel like king of the world. Explains why I was rather crap at racing in my youth

So, my RC10 arrived last week...and its still in its box...I WANT MY EGRESS DAMMIT! Nothing is scratching the itch, nothing, not even a new RC10. Is it November yet?

Also, does anybody trust an eBay seller with a pre-order? I certainly don't. 'Pre-order now and by the time the thing releases I can walk away with your cash as we've passed the cut off date with eBay to ask for a refund'

This is the advantage of knowing the UK price, as nowhere in the known universe will it retail it for more

£360 posted from Fusion is pretty darn good actually. Take £20 off for speedy next day delivery, £340 and add in the fact that your supporting a local hobby shop (local globally lol) then I may even cancel with Stella actually.

Crazy. Only kidding I think the reaction to the numbers was down to the fact that TA announced it as a limited run with a specific production run number, which now seems unlikely to be true. If TA had simply said 'hey world, guess what, we're making the RC10 again and we'll keep making it for as long as you keep buying it' and everyone would have simply been going 'oooooh must buy, must buy, must buy'. I think that's all that it boils down to. I've never really cared for the car and don't really care about how many are made, but when I saw the box art, it pulled that nostalgia string which triggered my wallet to open, money to fall out and land on a pre-order

I've realised what's happened with all this production number talk. They originally planned on making 2500, but Percymon bought all those and TA thought it wasn't really fair on everyone else

I get the impression we're talking hundreds even. I asked if I could add some paint to my order...he paused...and then basically said no lol. Reason being is that there are SO many RC10's going out that to make any order changes now would basically be impossible. He sounded stressed ha haaa.

Me either, I rang them as their stock levels say 'good stock' and my order status says 'back-ordered', so I wanted to ensure I was getting one. When I rang them he basically said that its shipping pandemonium there today as they have a bazillion RC10 pre-orders to post out in time for next day delivery tomorrow. So don't expect your status to change but do expect your delivery tomorrow.

Yep, all existing pre-orders will be out of the door today for next day delivery

Ha, 'limited run' my Aunt *******, Modelsport now have stock, and with all the pre-orders shipped, they are still showing 'GOOD STOCK' which says to me that they have looooooooads. Although, if they made 100,000,000 units, that is still 'technically' a limited run I guess. Clever wording.

That makes a lot of sense actually. Make enough to flood a years worth of sales, make a nice wad off the back of it, halt production and create a collectors item after only one year. Makes good business sense as it will allow them to do follow up models in a similar vein and make the first kit become even more desirable...aaaaaaaand influence people to pre-order their follow up models.

I have to admit that I'm flabbergasted at the £209 UK price tag, it's so cheap for a high end re-re rc car. Compare that to a UK Avante! BIG difference.

Lol, imagine being an American retro RC fan now. A cool US RC car that stole the heart of its own nation back in the day is now made in China, delivered to the far east first, Europe second and then the US being left until last. They must be gutted

Modelsport just confirmed, all pre-orders are shipping over the next 2 days. Latest time to expect delivery will be Friday. Result, weekend sorted! Anyone know what colour paint to buy for the bodyshell?
