  1. Hmm. Last week I ordered a few kits from them that showed in stock, and I just received notices that these orders are canceled and the money refunded. I'm glad they have followed through with the refund, but I wish the inventory on their website was accurate. Makes me wonder if I'll get the order for parts I just placed yesterday.

Wow really? I've been waiting for a refund for over a week and half now, still no response. Grrrr. I guess all their orders are just screwed up.

  2. I'm confused now.

My Egress order (the last of my three orders) has just been dispatched, the but the order that is all messed up (my first order from weeks ago) is still doing nothing. I wish they'd sort it out, its just £370 wasted so far. Come on Banzai, sort it out!

  3. Yoi 100% right. Me too send them many mails for the past weeks and only they replied yesterday but what, after I opened a dispute ( which I didnt want to at all )..

Probably u will get mail from them soon!.

Fingers crossed man, they've never been an issue before.

Actually thinking about it, I've actually emailed them 3 times in the past regarding stock levels and orders and to date, have never had a reply, ever. So while their normal service is fast and reliable, their support sucks.

If the holidays are an issue at the moment for them, a simple standard email that is copy and pasted saying 'due to a huge increase in orders, there maybe a delay of up to two weeks' would suffice, at least that would put mine, yours and many other peoples minds to rest. Even if they updated their order database with that comment on all ourstanding orders, that'd work too.

Simple customer service goes a long way.

  4. I'm having LOADS if trouble with Banzai at the moment.

    1. Made an order in December for a Unimog and Clodbuster, the latter of which was no longer available, and in short, I've mailed them 15 times with no answer and am now going through a PayPal dispute to get my money back. They've not answered a single mail or replied to the PayPal dispute either.

    2. I made a second order in December for tyres and wheels, all of which are now 'back ordered'

    3. Made a 3rd order for 2 Egresses last Friday and they are still 'processing'.

    Losing patience FAST!

    Annoying as they're usually fine.

  5. Wow, I took the Egress and my newly built Avante 2011 to a massive empty car park last night (no tracks near me of any description) and gave both cars a good blast. Man, the difference between the Egress and Avante is unreal. You can really feel the difference in design between the two cars and how well the car evolved from Avante to Egress. I'm gonna do the same again next week but take the 2001 along too for comparison.

God I'm loving having newly built models of these cars...bar the 2001 of course.

  6. I will be doing something a little different to mine, were gonna see a lot of silver round here soon hehe! I do have aother body enroute for a box art though!

    lee

Ha, true true. I just did my Avante 2011 in gun metal and sweet jeezus, it looks real nice! Seeing a different colour can be nice, but you have to pick well.

  7. This kind of thing puts me off buying from Hong Kong etc as it takes so much longer and you don't know the end cost. The other Egress I have came from Seidel and it was here in days, but then as I was on the Stella list too I thought it would be rude not to get their kit when they sent the email! I wanted to stay in good standing with them in case they are the only people who have 959 kits when they are re-released this year (just a little wish of mine!).

Dude, when you mentioned the 959 there, I thought it was a go...don't get my hopes up you cruel dude ;)

  8. $295!! yeah zero sign of it online anymore, even the old sale page is gone :(

I had two in my cart and was umming and arring...I went away, got a coffee, sat back down, thought 'f$%k it', went to hit checkout now and was too late, already gone :( Banzai sure know how to price to shift stuff quick.

Oh interesting info, Banzai are having 'The Biggest New Year Sale We've Ever Done' soon, so keep an eye on the site for some mega bargains!

  9. and today UP! Again! :P

the sticker wil cover a bit, my body is extreme thin at some points

and i ment the air pots :)

I'll back this up, my shell is thinner than supermarket cake boxes in places, I could 'literally' slide my scissors through it in places without having to actually cut. Quite shocking for a Tamiya body. Not too fussed as it hasn't yet cracked, but that may change after a few shell removals.

  11. Ouch, just finished my Avante 2011 (this story is Egress related), zipped it down the drive, clipped a wheelie bin at a very slow speed and snapped the front knuckle clean in two. Advice to all Egress builders, buy the aluminium knuckles asap, you're going to need them if you so much as touch anything!

    Dammit.

  12. Hey Guys,

Potentially stupid question (as I can be quite stupid...a lot of the time). Is it safe to run a single motor on the TEU-106 twin motor esc? I know, I know, you're all screaming 'why????'.

I've just got my Avante re-re built and realised last minute that the 104bk needs BEC or an additional battery pack , but my Spektrum DX3 doesnt support that and thus it cant run with this receiver/esc combo. I needed one that didn't require additional battery power. So, in my spares box sat a brand new 106bk, which doesn't require an additional battery pack. So as its unused, it seems like the perfect candidate bar the addition of two idle motor wires.

The 106 can handle a 25T motor and the Avante 2011 re-re motor (I believe) is 25T, so I'm 'guessing' its ok? I don't want to fry/melt anything, hence the question.

    Thanks in advance!

    Mike.

  13. A reliable source from Tamiya dealers in Japan:

(Tamiya Japan would like to limit the quantity of Egress 2013, so it is very unlikely that more sets will be manufactured anytime soon)

Aaaaaaaaand queue the forum rush to hoover up all remaining stock worldwide ;)

And I'm not currently sat staring at RCMart contemplating 2 more...honestly.

    P.S. I predicted this a few weeks ago ;)

  14. NIP front damper stay currently on ebay for £22. F2 Stu had sets of carbon-style BF parts a few months ago. Not sure about Mike's (mheald) replica ones, I think he sold out of them. Over to you, Mike.

I have got some left over from orders that were never paid for...but I'm not sure where they are now :( I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if I find them. I think there's about 3 sets.

  15. Hi everyone, first post here. Getting an Egress for my birthday (Jan 14th) recieved from Banzai on Monday but now all wrapped up :(

I've wanted this thing since 89! hoping it will look lovely next to my Avante 2011.

Mike, love your build. thought I'd join here to share and stuff :)

Oh, I have a Hotshot II somewhere and an original Top Force still deciding on whether or not to give that thing the love it needs though.

    Here's the Avante

Welcome to the forum man! Glad you enjoyed the build! Pre warning, this forum is VERY bad for the health of your wallet ;)

Nice Avante too, I spent my New Year's Eve building mine, glamorous huh ;) This is what happens when you have 2 under 3yr olds ;)
