Oooh nice! Where did you buy from? Nobody else even has them yet I don't think.

As soon as these spring sets start cropping up for sale, I'm furnishing all my vintage Egress's with a fresh set. They are soooooooooooo nice!
-
And the images for anyone who doesn't want to read my babble...

Enjoy

Part 3 of the build is now live! Some sexy stuff in this one

OUCH! Looks like RC Mart got stock and shipped them all...at...$822.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whaaaaaaaaaat? That's not like RC Mart, they're normally really good on price. Looked like they wanted to milk this RC cow for all she's worth!

Eh? What gives? I tried to order 2 with Stella, and they told me that they were only accepting one order per person!
Bit miffed...
I dropped in my pre-order the moment this thread was started, like within seconds, so that 'maybe' the reason why? I have a feeling I am one of a few that made pre-orders very early on. badword, saying that, I don't have them yet so there is a good chance I'll only get allocated one I guess. That happened at Banzai with my Egress. Ordered and paid for two, only got allowed one and they refunded the rest.
-
Yey, ordered two with Stella after the update email this weekend. Looking forward to getting these!

As I said, you don't need to be a member of TC to get a 10% discount, you don't even need to mention TC.
First time I ordered I was asked for my TC membership number before I was given my code. So I guess in some cases you do.
-
Yeah Fusion is only a good price if you're a TC member and UK based (free shipping).BTW mheald, what happened to ur build? no updates

I've almost finished the build now, so part 3 will go up on the blog tomorrow

I'll tell you what's really astonishing now I'm near the end of the build, and that's just how truly different this car actually is to the original. Almost every single part is new. That's no criticism though, just a statement. I think it should have been called 'The Egress Evolution' personally.
Superb build.

Yeaa,, they might get the stock by mid or 3rd week of December...
...so hope to get it soonDrum roll until Tuesday at Fusion Models...let's see if Joanne's supplier is good on his word!
Fingers crossed.

Well now i am really worried. I asked for a tracking number after waiting 3 weeks after paying for an egress from jr-rc and i have been sent a solitary multi digit number starting EJ then 11 digits then JP (no helpful info / courtesy) Japan post tracking states it is the wrong amount of digits! And that it should be 11 to 13 numbers?! I have the terrible feeling i am being fobbed off!.
Worry not, try (believe it or not) putting the entire code in parcelforce's or royal mails tracking, it should appear on one of them. Once a parcel leaves the far east with one of those number/codes it hits our systems shortly after.
I've ordered from jc-rc numerous times, but have never used jr-rc...are they the same person?

Saw that, but it was talking about the Avante 2001 body set, not the Egress.
Argh, I somehow managed to not read the title, you know, the bit that tells you what the article is about...DOH!

I think we can relax chaps, news just in from Tamiya Blog...
"Shipping will be postponed due to production reasons from 11th December (in Japan) to a new, still undecided date, we will post new infos when they are available."
...I think we can safely say that more are coming, its just a matter of when. Interestingly, it states 'In Japan' which says the delays are nothing to do with the hurricane.
I bet the Team Associated boss popped over to the factory and stole all the employees

Noticed some "official" details today on TamiyaUSA...
You sir have a keen eye. Good info!
-
Yeah, yeah, bla, bla, bla. An Egress would smash the granny out of any other buggy in the entire world and you know it

I spoke to Joanne at Fusion Hobbies last week regarding the Egress. They have 5 on order from their supplier and only 4 pre orders from customers that means that last week there was one spare for pre order. She also told me that they were expecting their delivery around the second week of December.
Joanne also has a part time job. That means sometimes there is no one available to answer the telephone. Try after 3 o'clock and you should get a reply. I've dealt with Fusion many times and they are fine.
Steve.
We're hearing different numbers, that's odd, but yeah, from past experience, Fusion are fab!
-
Just spoke to Fusion, she's got 7 coming in and her supplier has 'confirmed' that they are in transit, and 'should' arrive on Tuesday, but beyond that, they know no more.
Something tells me that from that first (and last?) small batch a handful of them were whipped out to exporters based on orders. Who knows.
I've kept my order in place and she's going to give me a ring on Tuesday to confirm if they've arrived and to ship mine out.
-
Why not just get one from Fusion? They seem to have stock...
BOOOOOOM thanks Wandy! Ordered! Not taking any chances, even if my card is smoking so bad its now starting to melt.

Who thinks that Team Associated bought them all up to make the release look bad?

I'm relieved and gutted...just went to tower hobbies site with the viewpoint of 'sod it, get another one just in case'...only to see that they too are now out of stock. The dude on eBay selling them at $560 has a...wait for it...25 day handling time?!?!?!

SUSPICIOUS!
-
Jeez, I joked about this but never thought it could be true. This is kinda scary. Glad I got one, but equally kinda freaked out that I just started building what maybe the single most limited run Tamiya car in history. Oops.
Bah, made to be played I guess.

Many thanks

With a new track (maybe the first proper 1/10 track never built in the area) near to be open I'm considering to buy a car to have fun... but it's hard to consider a non-tamiya car with the re-re Egress on the market.
I bought the RC10 too, but have to say, its still unbuilt, and now that my Egress is under way, its unlikely to ever get built I think. I may end up selling the RC10 as the nostalgia factor isn't really that strong.

They are quite soft but they look so pretty
As my Egress's are all shelf queens, the softness of the springs don't matter to me, its all about the look
