Good god man, 8? You could keep Tamiya going single handed with orders like that
Makes me feel less greedy getting two

So you are going with Stella, not Fusion?
Looks like we are going to get it for a delivered price around the £290 mark, providing we beat import duty.
Yeah I think so, 2 should come to just shy of £500, which is a lot less than £720. I can't imagine postage being much more than £50 and with duty about £660 ish. That spare £60 would pay for a motor, esc etc.

Email received, 2 confirmed. EXCITING!

Hello,
The much larger question here is this:
If you have over 5 models, are you married and/or with kids? If so, please share with the rest of us how you get away with it all.

The only way I can is that my wife is an artist and paints all my shells. I also have taught her and the boys how to race, so she puts up with it because it can be a "family event". While not her favorite, she partakes.
I have the following:
1. 2 Super Fighters - DT-02
2. Rising Storm - DF-02
3. Mad Bull (by far, our favorite)
4. Toyota 86 - TT-01E (just built)
5. Nova Fox (in the mail)
Yep happily married with 2 kids...both boys, one is just old enough for RC and already has his first 4 RC cars/trucks lol, the youngest has a keen eye on them too

I also collect arcade machines and retro video games, around 450ish at the last count, so my RC collection feels like less of an issue alongside all that lol. The logistics of this situation go like this. I have an office for my business...the business occupies about 5% of the space, my collections occupy the rest...and around 70% of my home loft space too ha haaaa. She has no issue with it all as it never really encroaches on our lives. If my arcades or cars made steps towards being displayed at home, this situation would change, rapido

I'am new to rc so this will probably sound like a stupid question but why is the so expensive
Because its the single greatest RC car ever made

Anyone who disagree's is basically wrong, so arguing this point is futile, mwa ha ha ha haaaaaaa

Think we can rest assured that £399 will be the UK price then. And this likely means $499, or £300ish.
Slap on shipping at £25 and we're looking at £325 shipped.
Run the risk of duty at probably £60 plus the £15 handling fee, and its £400.
Hmmmmm. I think I may go to Fusion for mine at £360 shipped with the TC member discount.

Actually, I´m not a friend of dampers without bladder to compensate for piston rod volume inside. But I´m out of buggy racing since the late 90´s, and all the Tamiya TRF´s running nowadays without bladder. Is it just because of bigger jumps, where the bladders can crack due to the high compression force?
I'll go back to my earlier confession of understanding absolutely nothing technical. So my reply to this set of comments regarding the shocks and which are best would be...
'Oooooh hi-caps, they're silver/grey with gold springs, so they are the bestest in the whole wide world'
...as you can see, I know my sh!t. Nobody can argue with my thinking here

Why do you guys keep trying to get everyone's hopes up. Those are DEFINITELY NOT titan screws.
We can have hope my good man, we can have hope.
-
I maybe being completely stupid (very likely) but I've not been able to upload images to the forum for months. In any way, form or manner.
-
Thanks for the scans dude, we can now rest easy, its got a wire wing mount, wahoo!
-
But the brat and the Frog didn't have monster truck diameter tyres on the back end, which is what destroys the gearboxes......
No harm in hoping though.
I'm surprised that someone isn't making an aftermarket replacement for this system using dog bones or something similar. You'd think there might be a market for this on a small scale.
Or has anyone ever dropped in an alternative setup?

This is bonkers...and I love every last inch of it! Absolutely amazing! I'd been thinking to myself 'how far could you mod a mudblaster' and then found this. Amazing work man, truly amazing work.

Come on Nov , i want this Egress NOW!! . Would be great if we can get them by the 17th nov
..I just want to know what stella is going to charge, as if its within £20 (including shipping) of Fusions price, I'll take it from fusion. Something about ordering from a LHS gives me a warm glow inside

Hey Mike, hold that thought Mate and check post #9 and then post #16 of this link.
I finally opted for a GT Tuned with a 21t steel pinion and it worked out great.
Hmmm, how odd. My Avante 2001 is rocking a sport tuned just fine, but maybe it's an old one...I'll double check. I think the GT tuned is the motor featured in the re re that was photographed at the hobby show too, so that might just get added to my shopping list

I don't think the unreliability thing would stop tamiya really. I mean they've re-re'd the brat and frog with the same components and they weren't released as being mainstream bashers, they were re-re'd based purely on nostalgia.
We can live in hope

-
I think Tamiya might consider this down the line, and yeah, they'll likely give it some gearbox and drive sharft love as lets be honest, you couldn't keep one of these going for long without issues lol.
Lets hope

Hey guys,
This may have been covered before, in fact I'm betting it has, but it hit me recently...why have we never seen a re-re of the Monster Beetle, Mud Blaster or Blackfoot? Out of all the cars left to re-re, these must be the cheapest of the lot for Tamiya to make and man, they'd be so POPULAR!
Pretty much every part is already in production, including the shells, all they'd need to do is change the colour of the brat chassis, make the front shock tower, MB rear bumper and? That's it right?
Fingers crossed this happens...please god say it will one day happen.
-
Now THIS is how you handle a retro cab forward design...

And this is how you do it modern day...

-
Oh and what on earth has happened to all the modern buggies? They all look TRULY hideous! I mean each to their own and all, but man, my eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyes!
