I think the MB would be an easy and financially rewarding re re for Mr T............it's what the kids want man! But i'm hoping as it's the 30th anniversary they are going to do something special and re re the og SS with a full metal chassis but including a second lexan shell and a revised diffed box with better shafts. oh and some factory alloys and a chrome edition. Don't want much do i []

I've been trying to do the same with an old Associated RC10 but keep getting out bid[] probably by you, lol. Anyway i thought about it for a while and if i can't pick up an RC10 i'll be buying a desert gator to turn into my scorcher hybrid runner. Well one of them anyway as i've got three OG SS chassis aproaching completion and i've bought a blitzer, a stadium thingy and an unknown which looked very similar to an RC10(fingers crossed).

My requests would be for a larger rear window as correct for the beetle shape you've gone with, and is there any chance of a seperate engine detail piece with twin carbs and porsche cooling fan like this Also does anyone make the old Kyosho beetle shell? like this one My mate had one of these at the time and i thought it was the dogs doodoos[H]

Yep totaly hypothetical, and what a shame that would be, but probably true. Although the new 3 speed F 350 is a modern version of the og 3 speeds and still has some good features. I think if they did re release it there would be less metal and wishbone arms instead of trailing[:'(]

I don't know anything that you lot don't know just thought about it and then couldn't stop thinking about it.(sad)[8-|] That's what i mean shodog, if they were the same? and if they up dated it? As you know you can build pretty much complete metal car's like the associated B4 and also the latest Tamiya's with aftermarket parts. The frog and brat didn't change that much really on re release so what do you think if anything Tamiya would change on a SS re release?

Tamiya would sell in the first week of re release of the Sand Scorcher SRB? I'm thinking it would be rather a lot my guess is 10,000 units instantly. and my second question is do you think they would change anything in the kit, like updating with a diff or different shafts and shocks?

I was thinking that, but you loose the window frame detail then. Or is there a way to replicate that, i'm thinking maybe fishing line and glue?[:^)]

I'm not sure it could be that one, but at $54.99 or whatever it's a bit costly.[]

Yeah he did, it came from a Maisto 1/10 rc "G-Ridez beetle that he broke up. Unfortunately they seem to be either over priced or few and far between. I asked him if he wanted to do a mould of it for me, which he seems keen on, but i don't have anything to trade him for it and he doesn't want cash[] He's VW inclined so if anyone wants to sort him out with a trade he'll do a mould from it that we could then produce from. I'll by two straight away at the right price[]

That's great thanks. I checked out the afore mentioned peoples work and i'm blown away by it, there's some real nice quality work there. I'll be spending on it real soon after i've made my custom ali cage set up. Cheers for the tips[H] Ben.

Hi i'm new so please forgive me if this is a stoopid question. Is there a place on this TC site or anywhere else for that matter that has a list of the companies/people who make custom or Hop up parts for the SRB range? I've been trying to find out as much as i can, but all i've seemed to come up with is that a guy Twinset i think it is does Ali chassis and another guy Showdog does cages and bumpers. Are there anymore out there? Ali wheels would be good if anyone knows where i can get Centreline style from. cheers for any info, Ben.[Y]

Really nice, i'm with you on the aluminium, it sorts it all out a treat. You can just imagine that at one of the dune's, mmmmm[H] Doesn't anyone make after market stuff like this for the SRB anymore? (sorry just getting back into it, lot's to find out)

So when it says "metal plated parts" does this mean metal parts that are plated or plastic parts that are plated with metal(plastic chroming)? I'm a little confused[*-)]
