  1. I've got to agree, Ive had my Slash for a couple of months now and it's the best value RC vehicle i have ever bought. It's without doubt the most fun, Indestructible, rewarding to drive RC that I have ever owned. To say that Im impressed is a huge understatement, Traxxas really got it right with this one, i think it's a land mark In the history of RC's!!
  2. Wow a new club great.... wait a minute what kind of club? Is this one of those religious we won't really let on what we're up to "clubs" i think they call it a cult? no? The title says it all...... Oh hang on i've got it, you're entering a whittling competion and your not happy with your first attempt? I'm right aren't i?
  3. Your chance of finding a set of those plastic torsion bars is very slim. I had this car back in the day when it was pretty new and i snapped these all the time, anyway after a year or two you just couldn't get replacements and that was back then (82/83 ish) so not much chance now. What i would do is convert it to the re re set up, you should be able to find the parts for that easier.
  4. I've got some PTI Goliath axles that i've never used, these were bought for a crawler project that i will never get around to doing so they're up for grabs to you guys. here's a link http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp?cid=71056 There's also three sets of TA02W universal front shafts sets, these are very hard to get hold of now and i don't need them so your gain. Here's the link http://www.tamiyaclub.com/trades_model.asp?cid=71055
  5. Thanks guys for the info, this should make tracking down that 17tooth steel pinion for my brushless thundershot baja bug much easier now
  6. Ah thanks, that's not what i was expecting, i thought it would be a metric measurement, but that would sound about right with it being quite coarse. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. Well i've been trying to find out what pitch the pinion is on the thundershot / terra scorcher / fire dragon, etc without much luck. I know it's not .6 module and it's a fair bit more coarse, anyone know?
  8. I'm guessing the frog is an original not a re re?
  9. I've voted, but i really wanted to add one more vote option than available.
  10. I haven't had one since about 1984, i didn't know they were still making them??? Where have you all been getting them from
  11. Thanks, meant to look on youtube and forgot. Does look pretty fast, not bad for 46 delivered!
  12. Anyone fancy posting up a vid clip of how quick this system is?
  13. I've gotta say i like the uni mog, and it might sound anti American (i'm not being though) but for us over here in Europe who rarely see one of your oversized trucks on our roads, this i can relate to, the council use them, the forestry commission too, and is in fact used a lot in off road trial driving with very succesful results as it is just about the most unbeatable off road production vehicle ever made, in the history of the world parts I, II & III evar!!1 Check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VmwbdDqQJ4 and this For a lexan shell i think it's pretty good on the detail front http://www.tamiya.com/japan/news/news0809/pimg.htm
  14. I remember Simon, i used to buy my parts from him at the shop in Fareham, it was up stairs and always had those bits you never knew you needed until you went in. I also remember the day i went in to the shop to find him building one of the first RC10's (gold pan) i'd never seen anything like it and was amazed at how light it was. There were some tyres that were really good too, MRC, i think it stood for Moulding Research Company, ah memories. I'm sure i saw him working in the printing shop a few doors up from SRM after it closed, wonder if he's still into RC these days?
  15. I am amazed that no one has mentioned the classic two door Range Rover??? That would be my choice for defo. http://range-rover.org.uk/spot.html
  16. If you were in the UK, you could come over to my workshop and go through my spares pile, i have a couple of bugs and a load of off road beetle wheels and baja bits, including a hacked about "rough rider" chassis, swind axle gearboxes and spare floorpans etc. I was going to do this a few years back but never got the time
  17. Ok thanks for the prompt answer, will i loose all the stuff in my showroom etc?
  18. Shame Boyds gone, some amazing wheels came outta that factory. But i have to agree, Foose anyday!
