  1. Hi Lee, Glad we are still on for Sunday, I'll be bringing my 350 and a few Touring Cars/drifters. Looking forward to it mate, weather forecast is good to! See you Sunday mate. Regards Neil
  2. Looking forward to seeing you Lee, I think I have my TRF finally dialled in so might be able to give you a run for your money! Looking forward to seeing you mate. Best Regards Neil
  3. My TT01 Lancia Delta gets thrashed to the limit, I have 4 sets of Lancia wheels (slicks, rally blocks, wets and dirfts) and get hammered to within in an inch of it's life whenever the mood takes me. 3 years old and I've had one broken A arm to date. Considering I run it with a Mtroniks low wind brushless and I'm not the best driver it's a testament to the sturdyness of the TT01 design. For off road, has to be my F350 Chop top, I put a seventeen double in to test it after building and never took it out. What it can do and put up with is endless. These are the first two cars I grab when the mood takes me.
  4. Glad you got them, enjoy the beach my friend. Best Regards Neil
  5. Got your PM, gonna find a suitable bag and get them in the post to you today. Let me know when they arrive. Best Regards
  6. Certainly are, PM your address and I will get them in the post. Hopefully get you back on the road/beach!
  7. Yeah, not sure whats happening there, need to speak to one of the moderators! I'm in the UK and I can probably make the next post and it should be with you in 1-3 days, is that any use?
  8. Hi Madhouse, I've had this same problem with the aftermarket drive shafts on the DF03, I bent one of mine and it took forever to arrange replacements. Whilst waiting I heated and straightend the bend out of the one I damaged, so I could continue. I finally managed to get the new ones but my buggy ran just fine with the 99% straight one. I kept the one I fixed and it's yours if you want it, and if it's any use. No charge. Let me know Regards Just checked again, I have one new straight one and one 99% straight. Yours if you need them.
  9. Hi all, Just a reminder for tomorrows meet and a quick time change. Meet will now take place at 1 pm, I'll probably be there a bit earlier so if your planning on coming down please do. Lee, I'll bring the new Kyosho with me aswell as the DI and a couple of touring cars/drifters. See you tomorrow mate Best Regards Neil
  10. Hi Macmenic, You can definately do the conversion with the TA03R-S TRF, I've done one with the original body (I think you can also use the re-re). You just need to make sure it's one of the S=Short chassis. I think you can also do this with the TA04 short chassis(?). If you have a look in my showroom you can see the finished project, it's running a Tamiya 15T at the moment but will soon be going low-power brushless just for ease of maintance. I must say the TA03 chassis drives perfectly, it really is a joy to drive (to low to do any off road) on tarmac. Hope this helps. Neil
  11. Hi Chris, Hi All, Sorry for the late posting of the next North East Meet. It will be on Sunday the 18th May, midday at the normal place. All are most welcome, we will be setting out a road and off road course and weather permitting will be another good day. Hope to see you all there. If anyone needs directions/maps etc, just pm/email me and I will send some on. Best Regards Neil
  12. Hi Chris, Sorry to hear about your car mate, must have been some impact? We are thinking about having another meet on the Sunday the 11 or 18 May. Should know in the next 24hrs or so. Where abouts are you coming from, some one might be able to pick you up on the way? SaxoChris, if you can make it mate, you can show me how to drift! I've just got the Tamiya RX7 and its not quite as easy as it looks... Lee, the DI is now running again so will be definately have the ramps out on the hopefully dry track! Hope you both can make it, will post dates in the next day or so. Best Regards Neil
  13. Hi Bluedragon, I'm more of a car and truck fan but always wanted a tank, it really was the cost that prohibited me buying one. However last Christmas I bit the bullet and bought a Tiger 1 from Stella models (big big difference from UK prices). Full option plus metal tracks and barrel. The tank is truely amazing, I get the best part of an hour out of the two batts whilst still using all the functions and putting in a fair bit of track time. I really cant recommend them enough, there an absolute pleasure to drive, watching the tracks articulate over ground is a sight I wont get bored of. One you get to grips with the steering, you will soon be tracking targets whilst on the go and using the main gun. Well worth saving for and an absoulte pleasure to own. Hope this helps Neil
  14. Lee, I've got a spare brushless at the moment (until I buy a Pajero re-re!), your more than welcome to borrow it tomorrow if you want to run it? It has Tamiya connectors, and I'll bring it with me mate. See you tomorrow mate Best Regards Neil
  15. Hi All, Just a reminder that the 2nd North East Meet will be taking place tomorrow from midday onwards. Location will be the Inglby Barwick Industrial estate, I will bring some ramps, cones and track markers, on and off road welcome, electric and noise welcome. Really hope some of you guys can make it. If anyone needs directions etc please drop me a mail or pm, I will check forum and email accounts all day. Ducati kid, hope you have your B4 going, made a few changes to my DI and will hopefully give you a run for your money, also finished my Super Camp so will run with your Astute! Looking forward to seeing/meeting you all. Best Regards Neil
  16. Hi Chris, Last meet we ran all electric, vintage and modern. Buggys, touring cars and a couple of trucks. Petrol would be fine, we are more than far enough away from housing etc. Bring the noise! Looking forward to meeting you Best Regards Neil
  17. Hi Chris, Yes, your in the right area with the lighting factory! We are just around the corner from the factory, tucked away on the side of the estate. I live on Ingleby so it's 5min drive for me too. We met up on the Sunday just gone, but will be meeting up again in April (yet to come up with a date but will post up times etc). Will PM all on this thread when I can. Would be very good to have you along? Best Regards Neil Chris, just been to your web site and I would be more than grateful to have some decent (I have no skill what so ever with a camera) pictures of our cars if you can come along?
  18. Hi Chris, Would be very glad to have you along, will post up new dates soon for the next meet so hope you can make it. As Lee said, I think we have an area that suits most types of vehicles, and is not too hard to find. Will hopefully post up new dates soon that suit all. I will try to PM all who have posted in this thread over the next couple of days and get us together for Meet No. 2 in April. Lee, thanks for the tip off on the wheels , will be in touch soon mate. Best Regards to all Thanks Neil
  19. Hi All, This Sunday is still on (9 March 08) if any one would like to come down (or up), 12 o'clock on the industrial estate in Ingleby Barwick. Will hopefully lay down a touring car track and grass/dirt track and enjoy the day! If you need directions drop me a mail or PM and I'll get you there. Hope to meet some of you soon. Best Regards Happy Harry
  20. Hi all, Ducatikid and I are looking at having a North East meeting on the Sunday the 9th of March at the industrial within Ingbly Barwick (It was gonna be this sunday but apparntly iy's Mothersday...). I'm compiling some google earth maps of the area to help people get there and show you the area. The main area is a quite car park that backs on to a large grassed area (which is kept short), I take my cars up there most weekends and its normally very quite. The car park is quite large and made of smooth tarmac suitable for all cars, the grassed area is suitable for buggys, truggys and trucks (if the grass has been cut you can manage a touring car on rally blocks). Theres also a very long straight if anyone fancies just speed runs and bashing. Hopefully I can bring down my childrens skate ramp, some cones and marker tape and mark of a bit of track, again the same on the car park to make a bit of touring car track. I will be bringing a number of touring cars, buggys, hilift and Blazer. If anyone would like directions and maps sending, pm myself or use my email (which is in an early post in this thread) and I will send you directions etc. Not sure what time but will make it suitable for all. Really hope a few of us from the NE can get together, looking forward to hearing from you. All are welcome, hope to hear from you soon. Regards Happy Harry
  21. Hi Guys, Ducatikid, I feel the same mate. We put a lot of time and effort in to these, we should get out and use them more. I'm over in Yarm, but would more than happy to meet up and on-road/off-road bash. I know a few areas around my locality to go but would be will to meet anywhere really and just have fun for a couple of hours. People can either PM or civ email - b15njh@hotmail.com if they fancy a meet. I think a few more would come out the woodwork if we publish some shots on the club site. Hope to hear from you all. Regards Happy Harry
  22. Thanks for the advice guys, Deans it is. I'm off for an expensive trip to the model shop!
  23. Evening all. I'm hoping someone with experience of Brushless motors can answer this. Can I get away with installing Tamiya style connectors on my Brushless Mtroniks Gensis Sport (running an Mtroniks brushless motor) to go in my Dark Impact, I know deans are preferable but the rest of my collection all run Tamiya and I'm loathe to set aside 1 or 2 Batts just for use in the DI with Deans connectors. Any advice welcome. Many Thanks
  24. Thanks Russ, clears that up for me. Regards
  25. Thanks Steve, I must admit I'm leaning towards the Brushless, possibly though cause I have yet to try/own one. Like the sound of speed though...
