  1. I have for sale a NIP Kyosho USA-1 Decal set Perfect for that new clod body. pics available upon request. 12$ shipped anywhere in the world. wsobchek@gmail.com Thanks for your time !
  2. Looking at the frog....Im hoping they offer a non-rtr version , so we can put in our own esc/reciever. If not I will have another donation to the crappy 18th scale electronics pile. A Novak spy and mini-reciever should work out well. Boy do I hate those white plugs......I hope there are some aftermarket hop ups available that can turn this baby into a beast or that Tamiyas hop-ups are better in taste/quality than say Losi or AE , more along the lines of quality that Kyosho have brought to their minis. Also , I keep hearing people mention "marketed for indoor use" and it makes me laugh. I wouldnt pay too much attention to the brochure about indoor use. Every readyset I have bought in "mini" or "micro" size has a photo like that , a little cartoon. I can scan it for you if you like. Have you tried to run a 18th scale indoors ? Its not happening unless your living in a castle and/or have really crappy furniture you can bang into. As lame as most 18th scale cars are out of the box , they are still too fast and big to have fun with inside. 1/28th scale is more suited for indoor use. I am not a brushless freak , I have one system that I switch in between my H8 and 18t when im not racing the H8. Personally I like brushed motors alot more , I build my own mini-z motors , so I like racing setups as opposed to LiPos but to say they shouldnt be applied to such small cars is silly. Also , most guys that race minis at the track have come from different 1/10 and 1/8th scale classes and continue to race all classes. Its all about undeniable fun when you push an 18th beyond its limits.
  3. Well to reply to your rather combative post "terrysc" , I DONT KNOW that it wont be able to handle a brushless. I am a betting man , so I am betting that it wont be able to handle a brushless setup. I guess thats how I should have worded my comments as not to get all these contankorous(sp?) replies. I agree with you about the comments of putting alot of money into a 1/18th setup , its sad. Which is why , looking at that video and seeing the infamous 18th scale sag , I took a negative approach to the situation. Its evident at the least the shocks will be replaced. Its also evident you dont know much about 18th scale. I stopped racing clods to race 18th scale and Mini-zs. In case you are unaware we dont race alot with brushless setups. They are for fun and we have all seen our share of mambas shred 18ts although since the diffs have been out not too much shredding. If your going with brushless/lipos you will always have a few shredded gear sets while making adjustments. No matter what the scale. It doesnt matter what the cars were "meant for" , im not going to be driving a mini-z around in circles in my living room with my thumb up my *******. Neither is anyone else. With your sentiments noone would even bother to race there would just be a bunch of hammerheads sitting in their living rooms with their model cars driving in circles. Oh and for refernce sake , I will be buying one no matter what the review. Its a frickin mini frog. Agree with you there Willy, why buy a 1/18th truck then spend a fortune on parts/motors/batteries when for the same money you could get a much more capable 1/10th buggy or truck. All 1/18th buggies are really designed for running where there isn't enough room for 1/10th and where the surface isn't smooth enough for Mini-Z/XMods, such as on the living room carpet or in a small back garden. People buying them and throwing brushless setups in them are in the same class as those who buy a TT-01 and then put a 7 turn in it. Following DJTheos comment I would also like to know how TamiyaBeaterFleet knows what the drivetrain in the gearbox is capable of handling without trying it. As it is only 2wd like the Losi Mini-T running a hot motor in it should make it a lot more fun to drive fast than the 4wd ones.
  4. Guarantee it cant take what a mamba dishes out. This looks more like a "fun" RC that say a 18t or a H8 which can be Lithiumed and Brushless. If that thing took the power im cranking through my H8 I would snap in two.
  5. I too am relatively close to this clown. Send me his details , I have a lot of friends and family involved in county and state police. balzmahony@aol.com

  9. I have never purchased anything from the Crawler Store as im not real friendly with the owners but I was peeking there today and saw a glimpse of those G-Made Axles ..... WOW ! Cant wait to see more info on them. As for TTR im excited to see their reworked "tuff tubes" , ive been kicking myself for selling my Delrin Ajs Tubes a while back , pretty hard to find now.
  10. my LHS is a bunch of idiots. Not even joking around. Pretty sad to see , wish there was a reputable hobby shop around , but there just isnt.
  11. I love these guys. Thankfully there are people who still care about quality parts for the clod. Looks like they have a ton of things for the clod in the works , for example -Aggressor Steering System for Clodbuster) $45.00 Coming soon! -Aggressor Steering System for the TXT-1 $40.00 Coming soon! -Bead-Lock Monster Truck wheel In development -"Tuff Tubes" redesigned axel tubes In development -Redesigned gear-case halves In development -Redesigned steering hubs In development -CVD axel shafts $45.00/pr Late Aug. -One piece axel shafts $35.00/pr Late Aug. -Clodbuster ball Dif $45.00 each Early Sept. Holy Moly !! So , Who along with me will be trying out these CVDs and 1-piece axels ? Andy ? I know you like TT ! Im going to order some cvds and straight axels even though I have no immediate use for them. If you havent seen the CAD pics of the CVDs check them out here http://www.thundertechracing.com/news.htm Any Thoughts ?
