  1. well come to the money pit. glad your family enjoy tamiya as well. you should be able to get a good collection between you
  2. you need to set the esc up. disconect the motor, then within 2 seconds of turning the esc on press the set button for 1 second, then press your transmitter full forward hold it there and press set again(quick press), then press full reverse and quick press again. reconect motor. and it should work
  3. thats not much work. its defo worth doing. what battery and charger have you got? how long they been stood?
  4. cool. regret leting all mine go. hate to think how much it would cost to replace them all.
  5. thats a bit of good news joel. hope you get it all back. maybe you should post the name hes using at the moment
  6. i just buy standard tamiya grease. hope you have fun building and runing. i have one painted in box art with a 18 turn in it and it flys.
  7. the black foot is wider taller longer, dont have exact measurments. parts are easy to get for either. my blackfoot only wheelies if i reverse and then slam it forward. if you want speed go for the blackfoot. glad i could help. any more questions just ask
  8. the black foot is 1/10 scale and the box is 1/12 scale, so the blackfoot is bigger. i own both these models and they are both great fun. i couldnt recomend one over the other. the black foot would be slightly faster due to the gearing as the box is geared for wheelies. neither handle very well as standard. it comes down to personol choice on looks. just go with the one that looks best to you
  9. i used to work for them. your right about they playing football with stuff. i really hate them, hence i quit half way through a shift 4 years ago
  10. start with the standard motor, thats more than enough for the lunch box. all my cars have hotter motors except my box. if you must go bigger stick to a dirt tuned as that will still work with the standard esc. glad to help. some times its easy to forget that not every one has been onto rc for 20+ years
  11. with the sucess of the re-re's do you think tamiya will release the monster beetle or the sand scorcher. if they did i would run out and buy both
  12. go to time tunnel model online, they deliver for free. they sell a complete kit with every thing you need for 115 pound. a couple of extra batteries will cost about 30 pound. the lunch box is a great kit to start with, its easy to build and fun to drive.you do need an esc that is the part that takes power from the battery and passes it to the motor. the kit should include the esc if you buy from this country. welcome and good luck
  13. yes this kid is around. he did the same thing on the clumber meets website. unfortunatly he did rip off a member(no i wont name him, thats up to the person himself) before the member realised who he was dealing with. he offered me a trade, luckily for me it was a rubish trade so i said no. hes now banned from the clumber meets website. this kid needs stoping
  14. the wife got me the top gear set for xmas. the new ones are ok but the 80s classics are the best
  15. does anyone else play or collect top trumps? i love these simple little cards. makes me feel even more like a kid than playing with my rc
  16. my wife went out while i was at work today and g ot me a brat . she did that instead off me ordering it just so i defo had it for xmas. shes the best
  17. merry christmas from nottinghamshire, robin hood country.
  18. it looks like im gona buy the brat, cos all my cars are run and i run them hard. the fire dragon will be my next buy after this one, with a repro manta ray shell.
  19. i love the re-re's and its time to buy a new one. but i cant decide between the brat and the hot shot. whats your opinion?
