Glad I checked this thread, got my preorder in just now. And for any of you who are not in the Super Saver Club, don't bother joining for this as it rejected the $80 coupon. but it did let me use the regular $60 coupon.

When I saw them making the rounds on european instagram accounts I just ordered it from eurorc and it was at my door in a few days. I'll probably do the same thing for the black egress. The shipping seemed like a kick in the pants but the total was still quite a bit less than what Tower has it listed for before tax.

Instead Of A Re-re, I'd Rather Tamiya.....
khj626 replied to Singapore_959's topic in General discussions
Rally cars are my favorites for a couple of reasons, but with the recent withdrawal of both Suzuki and Subaru from WRC, I hope Tamiya doesn't feel compelled to stick to cars currently in the series. And my 2 cents for this thread, I'd rather see a rereleased 959 than a bag with a silkscreened Tamiya logo. Heck, I'd rather see an XB RTR Bear Hawk, but maybe that's just me. -
Who Owns An R/c That Looks Like Their Real 1:1 Car?
khj626 replied to ArancioC5's topic in General discussions
I like to think of my TSX as the Accord Euro-R and was actually looking for a shell about a year ago without much luck. That's a nice looking shell you've got incoming. I think I'll have to get one and try to paint it like this: RealTime TSX As for the wheels, you could always get hpi's bbs mesh wheels for the 1:10 and the real deals for your 1:1, (or enkeis or volks, wherever your tastes may lie). -
Do those pictures take me back... My first car was a Frog and my rc mentor started off with a Hornet (he was 14 and I was 11). His sister had a Grasshopper and we had so much fun with those things. I didn't think it could get any more fun until my friend with the Hornet upgraded to a Fox. None of us could afford a Hotshot either. I should probably say that none of us could convince our parents into buying us a Hotshot. Welcome back into the fold, and happy bashing with your family.

I've been trying to find some way to clear coat over the decals for over a week. The only thing I've been able to find on the internet is that some people have had success with SC Johnson's Future floor wax. Searching for "lexan clear coat" returns a lot of hits with motorcycle helmet visors treated with something called "Hi-Brite" but I haven't been able to source that yet.

I sure hope you're right. I'd buy a Super Shot re-release as fast as I could pull the plastic out of my wallet if it's as faithful to the original as the Hotshot re-release. I think the Super Shot and the 959 were the two kits I lusted after more than anything else when I was a kid.
