  1. Hey guys, my dad has recently asked me to look on the web for a replica model, either diecast or as a kit, of a canadian LAV-3 also called kodiak, with is our current "apc." it doesnt have to be tamiya, but if tamiya does make one, it would be better just because its tamiya. it also doesnt have to be on ebay, it can be just the makers web site too. thx in advance, sam
  2. Wow guys really nice paintjobs. Thanks for those 2 sites, very cool custom features. I found theses window toning thinghies which are said to leave a window tint when removed http://www.morfars.dk/rc/window-toning-p-2690.html are those what they could have used to tint them?
  3. Well I'm just here to post some pics of my car, after twist told me to do it or he'd eat me. but unlike the others its no DI but a Rising storm!!!! So here it is with its 1 hundred and 1 hop ups, including an Mtroniks viper dash no-limit esc, speed gem 11t double, All 4 alloy suspension arms, Yeah racing alloy shocks, and towers, steering kit and im passing some.
  4. I've heard of that paint too but it must be a hassle to evnely spray it on, the slightest ovespray will be easily remarked. and what about exhaust pipes, does it come with a plastic part addon or are the ones i've seen custom? Sam
  5. hey all, I've recently decided I was going to buy a TT01, but by the time it arrives here, I have to think of how to paint it, colors ect.. and some other features i could add to it for a nice scale look. I'm going to get the coppermix silvia body and i plan to paint it mettalic dark grey, without the stickers. I was thinking of tinted windows instead of just the sticker or plain clear windows. http://www.hobby101.com/Cars%20093.jpg In ths picture you will see wht i mean, does anyone know how this might have been done, low opacity paint maybe? Also if anyone has other simple addons that they have for there own tt01s or other models, please share them, id like to make disk breaks also that ive seen on other TT01s if its not too hard. Thanks
  6. Alright well i just wanna make things clear, I wasnt laughing at anyone in this thread at all. now i have another question conserning these tamiya on-roaders, what size body do they use, are they all 190 or 200, or is it different from car to car? if so can someone give the sizes for the most popular models (ta05, tb02, tt01 and im skipping some)
  7. U should all purchase from his site over the ebay one, i had a much wider range of hopups for the df-02 on his site and he emailed me everything i needed when the item was sent to the post office, tracking number and all that. ( unlike ebay, where i had to ask him for it) in my oppinion, rcmart is still a good supplier, just needs a kick in the bum.
  8. well I was planning the car to be pretty much stock as i want to put more money in my df-02, and basically just drive around, posibly fit a 15t-11t in it eventually, and if i can find a race track, or make one, i'd gladly race it. not as competition though, just for fun.
  9. O_o Hey i never said i didnt want advice form anyone, I did go check our the tb02, dont worry, but i was just more interessted in seeing how a tb01 was 'cus i might know someone who can sell me one for pretty cheap. thats it. ...
  10. Oh thx buddy for the info, but i was wondering if the tb01 was close to the tb02. does it have the same advantages, and is it the onroad df-03's brother? lmao.
  11. Yeah well the tt-01 looks like a realy great car, but isnt the steering very wobbly like on my df-02? Im now looking at other tamiya models, the tb01 looks like a good car to.
  12. Hi guys, I've just started not too long ago in this hobby with some freinds and i bought myself a df-02, I like the car alot and I hoped it up quite a bit. But like everyone, one car is not enough. I was planning on getting a Frod f-350 highlift, because I love how it looks, and how the build looks long, complex, JUST FUN!!! but when all i needed was added, ( radio, esc, servos) it came to something around 650$ canadian. so ill let go it for now. The other car i planned to get was a TT-01 'cus i want an on-road car.I was wondering if its a good buy, or should i get another, simalar in price touring car preferably fom tamiya. advice needed, sam.
  13. so is the tt-01 a good car in the end, or is it a waste taht can be avoided by buying an other tamiya on-road car.
