thanks, I'll go the Madcap route (is there a link to the detailed mod steps?), it's pretty amazing that the whole car's running fate is hinged on one piece (actually 2, both were cracked), how come nobody come up with a reproduction copy? :-) this reminds me of the red plastic shock collars on the old Kyosho optima series, every time I saw those on ebay, I stayed clear of them. These two examples are so un-Japanese-quality like. Too bad there's no RC part recall :-)

mine cracked on where the screw pin goes in, this is a complex part, otherwise I would have tried to make a rubber mold for it.

what about modern buggy wheels and tires (makes other than Tamiya and HPI)? can I use them on Kyosho scorpions?
