  1. I used this seller once before myself and everything went ok. But he does have quite a few negatives on his record. he threatened me to give retaliation negative if I do so. I contacted ebay customer support and give all the details and email excange, I am still waiting for an answer. It looks to me that he thinks I will let it go eventually. I wont't do so. I am not worried about the broken blister too much, What makes me angry is that he replaced the motor on auction pics with a non original one, so even if I decide to build the kit, It will not be 100% original. I know that this kit is not that special, but to me it holds sentimental value. If someone out there has a Thunder Dragon kit and is not too worried about keeping it 100% original and perfect we can swap blister pack plus cash adjustement or I can swap it with a similar kit plus cash adj. and buy another one when the occasion comes up. Rob
  2. I just tried to file a claim trhough paypal but I am only entitled to a refund that does not include shipping back of the item. I guess this is better than nothing but it still will live me out of pocket of about uS$ 35.00 for something that was falsely advertised. Leaving Negative. People be aware of this seller Rob
  3. I will definatly do that. I guess that I've been lucky with ebay transactions prior to this, this being the first time I've really been burned. Cheers Rob
  4. I recently purchased a Thunder Dragon kit from seller tamiya-rc(auction # 5961638799)and what I received did not match the auction pics which showed a good condition blister pack with a white motor cover, instead I received a completely broken open blister pack with a different motor (black end). He just declined any responsability but offered to refund purchase price plus not even one third of what it would cost me to ship it back to Japan and only on receipt of package "after inspection". He is not responding anymore to my various emails. I feel totally fooled by this seller and I will leave negative feedback. Rob
  5. A few days ago I received a comment containing inappropriate language for our site (new comment about car # 49154 NIB Tyrrell P34 in my showroom) Even if we do have the option to erase comments, no one wants to receive anything like this. I do not know if non members can leave comments in showrooms but I do know that if the author of that comment is a TC member, I would like to see his membership cancelled. Roby
  6. They look so great[^] Just thinking maybe some blue aluminium flange nuts would add a nice touch[?] Rob
  7. quote: Originally posted by simensays well, if you monitor the Bay, you'll see that this actually happens a lot with kit like this, where all the different parts (even the box) get a pretty nice pile of $$$. id="quote">id="quote"> I know that this happens but this makes sense to me when you have to get rid of a damaged/incomplete kit(es: broken/unglued blisters, tears in/out box, missing parts etc.). I was refering to a next to perfect condition kit that can easly fetch like item N.1777221385 did (sold a few months back) US$ 1,825.00. If you start to break up such kits to sell the parts to customers all over the globe, I doubt you will be able to better an "intact kit" price, and if you could is it really worth the time and the trouble[?] Anyway, this is just my opinion[] Cheers Rob
  8. Thanks Bibbo, I'll check it out[^] Cheers mate Rob
  9. I know that I am after something special, but I've seen these kits up for sale before and now that I can afford one, I'd rather not adopt a defeatist attitude and give up the game before it's started. You don't attain much in life sitting back waiting for it to fall from the sky[] Deano, I have my doubts that anyone that owns such a kit and wants to profit off it's sale would break it up with the small fortune you can get from selling it intact[] Jerry, I think my series of NIB full option tanks could be a little more attractive than your prized Grasshopper[)], but I could be mistaken[] Cheers Rob
  10. Hi all, I am chasing a NIB SS preferably english version with a black bumper, the box has to be good cond. I can offer cash or a trade, I have a few NIB full option tanks to swap. Cheers Rob
