  1. Hi all i plan to be there if possible probably bring the Midnight Pumpkin, WW2, Chevy S10, Pajero and Pirate 1/8 Rallycrosser Cheers Dave
  2. Nitro fuel with a lower percent nitro does not have more oil in it just more methanol, the typical oil percentage in most fuels for model cars is typically 8-12% The premix lawnmower/strimmer etc run a mix of 25:1 or higher which is 4% oil or less. It is a myth that more oil = cooler running, and less wear. More oil effectively weakens the mixture and cases it the run hotter performace also suffers as a result
  3. Just got my XB pajero shell its not painted just clear lexan, i have got the decals and body mounts, but the door mirrors are on another tree i did not order (ordered now!) Don't know if it should it have a spare wheel on the back. I have pictures and part numbers if anyone is interested. Dave
  4. For sale on Ebay (search for Nova Rossi) NIB Nova Rossi MT12 rear exhaust .12 engine 1.35 HP complete with flywheel, clutch, air filter, plug and engine mounts for a mugen MTX2.
  5. Looks a bit of a mess Andy, i've seen one worse though. It was running in a 1/8 circuit car out in the street went under a car complete with engine came out the other side with only half a crankcase, the piston/liner and cylinder head were now an ornament on the rear axle of the car.
  6. I use a touring car motor 19T double, this works very well in my WW2.
  7. I have a LRP truck puller motor fitted to my XC pajero, it only runs a walking pace but will climb a >45 degree slope. From memory it cost £29.00 i think. Dave

Hi, has anyone got a good condition 959 shell they want to trade for an excellent condition Toyota Gr.B shell. Cheers Dave
  9. I believe that some of the pre painted tamiya bodies (the corvette is one) are done using some kind of printing process. Maybe this is not true, but if it is how do you strip the shell?
  10. I have got the XB Pajero body on order for my runner as you can still get nearly all the parts for the Pajero. When it turns up ( can take 6 weeks) i will let you know if its painted or not. Cheers Dave
  11. Hi Noel I have all 5 of the XC vehicles and one modified runner which i use with the standard motor for fast offroad, and for hillclimb, rock crawling an LRP Truck puller motor which i think is a 80t single its very slow but virtually unstoppable. I use the standard CVA's with 50wt oil but the TRF shocks will fit i think. I use a LRP F/r speedo with 15t limit which works fine. I have fitted a ballrace steering kit from Germany, to replace the standard system which fills up with grit and jams. This is an excellent mod, mail me direct if you need details. It will run for about 15-20 mins on the standard motor (2000mah pack) and about 1.5 hours! with the truck puller fitted. Which XC are you getting? have a look in my showroom , my runner is shown there. Cheers Dave (disco)
  12. Sorry, Sjoerd is correct i traded an Egress for it and now have the S800 new built ( its in my showroom ). Dave (disco)
  13. Hi, This can be done, i have ordered many parts for my XC vehicles as most is still avalable from Tamiya direct along with much other stuff. I order through my local shop Models in motion in the UK ( speak to Shaun ) it takes @ 6 weeks to get the stuff if you have the time. If you need specific details mail me direct. Cheers Dave (disco)
  14. Whats the difference between TA02 and TA02W i guess one set is longer is this correct? I know where i can get a set of TA02W fronts U/J's if they will fit. Dave
  15. Hi Please can someone tell me which (if any) front universal shafts fit the XC chassis cars Wrangler, Pajero etc. I have seen many types advertised Ta03 Ta02w etc but do not know which will fit. Thanks Disco
  16. I've had trouble all day until about six o'clock, i think it was down most of the day Disco
  17. Hi, I don't have the Rothmans version but i have a set of the ones that don't have Rothmans on them. mail me if you want some. Cheers Disco
  18. Hi All, I recently saw a picture of a supposed new tamiya truck, it looked like a separate chassis 3 speed with an updated F150 body on it. Does anyone know if this is true? or is it just a special built by a private individual Cheers Dave
  19. I too have have several, one much repeated offer for my HiLux, mainly from the USA. I do not mind tho odd mail offering to buy it but several with increasing offers is plain annoying what part of "Its not for sale did you not understand!" If i want to trade/sell anything its in my trades. Dave
  20. Yes its German text in Austria, i bought an XC rolling chassis from Robert in great condition, if you wish to translate you can use this http://babelfish.altavista.com/ I does not come out that well but you get the meaning of it i think. Dave
  21. Hi Gavver, have a look at this site, there as some great conversions on it > http://www.joro-tuning.at.tf Cheers Dave (disco)
  22. The XC wheels and tyres (Pajero)are still available from tamiya as the are spares for the XB Pajero, which until recently you could still buy in the UK. I have bought three sets from my local model shop recently they took 5-6 weeks to arrive from japan, not sure you can do this in US though. If you can, all you will need to do is take the small plastic spacers out of the shocks, i hope this helps. Cheers Dave
  23. If i had the choice of those two i would take the OS every time, should be more powerful and reliable than the tamiya. Cheers Dave P
  24. I race 1/10th ic on road national series an found Novarossi to be virtually indestructable, OS motors in my past experience (with .21 engines in rallycross) are not as powerful or as reliable. Over here there is virtully no one running OS as most seen to lack power, Picco/Colari are the quickest motors , but difficult to setup and don't last as long as Nova's. All the above is my personal experience and is only an opinion. Cheers Dave P (disco)
