  1. thanks for the help guys

I have bought some 9mm steel catapault shot and have put about 30 in each of the inside tyres and none in the outside ones and increased the trucks weight by about half a kilo

with the dual drive axles if a wheel on the diagonal on oposite sides lift at the same time you have no drive because the wheels just spin, I will have to get some thicker grease for the diffs as well

Wheel Weights ebay in the UK No live ebay links unless they are for your own items

  2. Seeing as I drive a 1:1 Scania Highline for a living I decided it was time I ought to look at getting a 1:14 version, look being the operative word so far!

I've been trawling through the Scanias on the main site and they're all great looking and some of the liveries are superb but one thing about the kit is bothering me.

The mirrors are totally incorrect. They just look like generic mirrors that you'd find on cheaper trucks (MAN or Renault). Scania mirrors are very distinctive and, as truck mirrors go, are quite stylish.

I don't know why Tamiya have done such a great job on the cab only to mess the mirrors up but are aftermarket mirrors (correct to Scania spec) available from anywhere?
