OOPS sorry, i am running a 78 spur, not 48, that was a mistake !! and iv now got a no limit esc witch has solved the probolem. thanks for the comments guys.

The car is a kyosho laser zx5 with 18t pinion and 48 spur, 3800 intelect cells, with corrally connectors, and a method sv2 15x2 mod motor, on a rv15 esc, ... i have just ordered a no limit esc so hope this helps, and the servo thing is just plain weird , its a bog standard servo, but keeps glitching like interferance, ... and somtimes cuts out when the motor does !! but somtimes it keeps working, ... interferance or noise from the motor u think ??????

hi guys im having a little trouble with my electrics, my car will run fine for a short while, then all power will cut off for a few seconds, then return, and go again, no acceleration, but still have steering, but somtimes, even the steering goes, so car does not respond, but it only lasts a few seconds, then works again...and there is some mad glitching with my steering servo ! but the cut outs re-occur every 30 seconds or so !!!!!!! this is a new probolem for me, and doesnt help as its happening to my race car ! my motor brushes seem fine, all connections seem good !!!! im using a method mod 15x2 with rv15 mtronics esc, and 40am techniplus gear. AND IDEAS... IM FRUSTRATED AND STUCK !!! cheers, mark.

hiya, i run a blackfoot extreme, and find it a great truck for the money, and can easily be hopped up. but if your mate wants to spend more, the associated rc10t is an exellent rtr at around 199 with 17t motor and esc. inc all radio, and could take him into racing if he wants, or a brilliant handling basher.

Thanks for that, i do need some more tyres, as iv only got med compound mini pins at the mo, and some soft indoor sets . will invest shortly. otherwise il use trial and error as a steep learning curve (like most people i guess).

If anyone is interested, iv opened another thread on motors, asking some more advanced questions, ... anyone out there that has knowlege of tuning, or anything helpfull motor wise, would be welcome to post there. everything from timing issues, to brush preference, benefits of winds for different condittions etc, and also any brands that last longer, or perform better !!
