Dismounting Pre-mounted Tires?
Driftforspeed replied to Driftforspeed's topic in General discussions
I haven't use them outdoor yet, have to try that. I've noticed same thing when drifting indoors, grip seems to vary a lot even on a slippery floor. But with ABS there's just a right amount of grip and control to slide corners with big smile -
Dismounting Pre-mounted Tires?
Driftforspeed replied to Driftforspeed's topic in General discussions
No subaru rims, silvia black ones. Yes, they seem to be very hard to remove without force that will damage the rim. I tried to gently peel the tire with little screwdriver but no luck. Maybe I have to cut those tires off then. I have a pile of rims, but I like these black ones with nismo stickers! What you guys think about these type-d tires?? My opinion after buying ABS's, type-d goes to recycle bin. Picture of my ride, I just love this drifting thing! -
Howdy! I want to dismount tamiya type-d drift tires from rims, what method are you guys using? Tires are glued to rims by tamiya. Should I cook them to get glue of or what? I want to save the rims from any damage, if I can save tires too that's great. One can't have too many rims & tires spare! Regards, -Tom

Bicycle Speedometer In Rc Use?
Driftforspeed replied to Driftforspeed's topic in All things electric...
Great answers and interesting ideas! I can truly say that there's a huge differences between bike speedos. I was testing another speedo from sigma sport and it works well! I doesn't seem to get "confused" after 15 kph. Only but so far a biggest problem is that there's no change to see the actual speed 'cause there's no memory of highest speed in this speedo. -
Bicycle Speedometer In Rc Use?

Great answers, thumbs up for u guys! Well my speedo isn't top on the line, that's for sure. Maybe I just have to go with speedos which are designed for this job. Like Venom. Ebay ebay where are uuuuuu -
Have anyone else tried using bike speedometers in rc car? Any chance it would work faultless? I have a digital speedometer and I was testing this last day. This unit uses very tiny sensors that could be easily installed to read tire speed of rc car. Speedo was calibrated to 1/10 tire measurement. I was testing this with tires lifted from ground and looks like it works like a charm but when speed gets to exact 15,2 kph, speedometer "loses the signal" and speed reading gets back to 0 kph. Why? Physics knowledge, anyone? -Tom
