Thanks Ra. I guess the main problem why the paint came of the Holdiday Buggy was that I did not use a Primar. Next time I will and hope its gonna be a better resulat. For the Hummer I thougth Iam gonna you TS-46 Light Sand. On the cardboard it looks really close to the desert storm color . What do you think guys? -
Painting Problems (hummer And Holiday Buggy

Thanks for the Info Homerboi. I checked the Link but non of the suggested colors look like the "sandyellow" which is used in desert storm. -
Hi I got some painting problems. I have tried to paint a Holiday Buggy Body but the paint came off. I looked really good, but than I but a tape on it (to mark the point where to drill) and when I took the tape of, the paint was on the tape an not on the body anymore. I used tamiya TS paint. So I guess I need some kind of primer first. But what kind of primer? I also got a brand new Hummer M1025. They come in green. But I would like to have it in Sandyellow (like the Desert Storm Trucks). Because of my bad expierence with the Holdiday Buggy Body I did not start to paint it. I thougth it would be smarter to ask the forum first how to do it. Did already anyone of you paint the Hummer in a Sandyellow Color? Which Color Code from Tamiya was used for the job? Thanks for helping.

Looking For Blazing Blazer Measurements
oldtimer replied to oldtimer's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Just found the measurment of the clodbuster. It says the body ist 182mm wide, 440mm long and the wheelbase ist 280mm. What caught my attention ist how wide the body is. The differece is about 60mm. Is this true, does anybody may have both bodies and can check that for me? Greetings and Thanks. -

Wow! Very impressiv. This is excatly what I had in mind. I hope my skills are good enough to do such a perfect body. Do you know from which modell the driver and co driver are? I also forgot tree measurements. I also need the wheelbase and the wheeltrak (wheeltrak would be best from outside to outside of the tyres) and the tire diameter. I plan to do my own chassis. I am a metalworker so this is gone be the easier part. The plan ist to use crawler axles and a 2 speed tranny from a crawler. Its gonna have fulltime 4x4 and will be fully locked. Thanks for your help. -
Hi Guys It seems nearly impossible to find a Blazing Blazer Body. So I decide to try to make repro one on my one. I wanted to start with a coldbuster body. They seem easier to get and much much cheaper. What I need now are some measurments. What is the diameter of the circle on the hood (Airfilter) and how tall is it? What are the measurments of the roof and the spoiler on the roof? If anybody has a Blazing Blazer Body, please post does measurments. Thanks.

Thanks, but this is not what I am looking for. It should be as close as possible to the Blazing Blazer. I just like the Protruck look. Cheers

Hi Guys Is there a Blazing Blazer Repro Body? I always loved the look of it and I would like to put one on my Scale-Crawler.

Thanks. I will send him a email. How do you like your decal. Do they look okay? Cheers.
-
Does anyone of you have a idea where I can get Holiday Buggy Decal. It is not nescessary that they are original. Repros would also work. I searched alot but couldnt find any. I need them to finish a project which will be a weeding gift (and the weeding date gets closer and closer). So thanks for your held. Cheers

Wow, this is ridiculous. 77,-- Pounds for decales? This is more than a pay for the hole car, with shipping and handling. I should have investet my money in Decales when i was a kid. Then I would be rich now :-). Unfortunally I needed the money to keep my HB running.
-
Thanks Carrera. I will try this. Since a Repro Subaru Brat is out now. it should be easy to get them. My Brother just found a Holiday Buggy on Ebay and won. So another one is not needed anymore. But now we are looking for some decales? So if anyboy knows where we can get some please let us know. I think there must be some Repros but couldnt find them on the www. Greetings

Greetings Oldtimer PS STILL LOOKING FOR ANOTHER HOLIDAY BUGGY (FOR MY BROTHER) SO IF THERE ARE ANY FOR SALE, PLEASE DROP ME A MAIL ON RCOLDTIMER70@HOTMAIL.COM. THANKS
