  1. Hi all, Recently, I have bough one blitzer beetle NIB. I have built the frame for the fun and for one hot run (body is used in my ss project). What a suprised when it's missing one o-ring for one of my dampers[].Happily, I have a lot of them[]. But suppose I am one new and young Tamiya driver and it's my first kit......[] Just one question: Have you also missing parts in one NIB kit? in this case, is Tamiya have one guaranty to send the missing part(s)? Cheers, [)]Poulpit
  2. quote:Originally posted by turtleSimple question: Where can i get some black decal sheets to make my own decals? Thanks id="quote">id="quote">I work in one adhesive factory called "MACtac". We produce many sorts of vinyls or industrials adhesive materials. You can find one vinyl called "MACfleet", it's easy to form with your finger and with one hair-dryer. We use in reality to cover german taxi or to apply one advert on planes, cars, trains, building,.... look in my showroom my special home made decals on my holiday buggy[] http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=9816&id=1042 I think you can find it in one specialist in apply lettering on car. 3. "There are some join marks from the mould, do these get sanded out with 600 grit paper and then paint over the top or apply primer first?" Hi, Use 1000 or 1200 grit paper to sand your body moulds! Then, apply your primer. 600 is too aggressive and, when you'll paint your body, you risk to have some scratches on your fresh paint[8)] Regards, [)]Poulpit
  4. Hi all, Maybe I have dreamed but Tamiya have created one body of citroën 2cv, Isn't? What's the number of this item? Kind Regards, [)]Poulpit.
  5. Hi ginger! YGM![] [)]François.
  6. Hi Jim Yes, it's right! the decals are easily take off from one unpainted body. Look at my Holiday Buggy, I have can repair the "corned" decals, adhesive is enough strong to fix the decal correctly... Maybe if you use one hair dryer to peel off the decals from one painted body?[xx(] cheers, [)]François.
  7. Hi Ra, excuse me for my english.... it is like one "sandwich". You have two siliconed paper sheets (protect sheets) and between them, stay the adhesive. Here, you have no clear plastic sheet, just one fine film of glue. You remove one siliconed sheet, the adhesive stays on the other one. You put your unadhesived decal on it. You remove the glue all around this decal with your finger and it's done, you have re-adhesived your decal!! I think it's possible to find these adhesive sheets on supermarkets or in specialized store (pictures store). These sheets are used to fix the pictures at the back. I hope you understand now, let me now if it's ok....[] cheers, [)]François.
  8. Hi RA, I have restored my old decals.... You can remove the old glue from your decals with methanol. There are no damage. Then, I use sheets of free film adhesive (adhesive only, between 2 siliconed paper sheets). I work in one adhesive factory and we manufacture this product. I think you can find these sheets on your supermarket(to glue the pics) Cheers, [)] François.

  10. quote:Originally posted by cloverenderI have recently restored my old Falcon and I seem to be having some problems currently with the rear axle falling out on my falcon. Does anybody know of any good remedies to stop this from happening. I would be interested to hear from anyone who can help!! Thanks Piers id="quote">id="quote">I had this problem too with my falcon (dead now[]).The used axles go away. I had no much money to buy new ones.... Just one tip: put one or two(?) washer(s)between the axle and the gearbox to reduce the too high clearance of the axle. Be carefull! your axle must have one (little) free when you compress your spring!! Do that and let me know if it's ok! Check your (plastic) bearings, if the clearance of the cupple nut is too high, it's time to change them! [)]François.
  11. quote:Originally posted by AZAZALHi poulpit, Who are OZ wheels, where are they and are the wheels for rc cars..? id="quote">id="quote">Hi AZ! [:I]Sorry, it was a joke....OZ wheels are really alloys wheels! Cheers, [)]François.
  12. AZ or OZ wheels?[] [)]François.
  13. some paints are more difficult to remove. I put my holiday rims for 4 days in BF. With BF or oven cleaner, you must try many times to remove the paint with one toothbrush and one tooth pic. You must help the BF or oven cleaner to work..... [)]François.
  14. Look at this german website...... http://www.suter-meggen.ch/rc/carson/index.htm [)]François.

  16. Hi Jim, I think it's good! you can put 2 more pics![] I have the same problem....submit many times at any times, but no result!delete and recreate with new pics is the best at this moment.... [)]François.
  17. Hi all, Thank's for your many replies! I am agree to pay some fees for differents things (personnaly, I have no pay to be one member because I don't know what's this great site before..[:I]). 1)It's important to preserve one website like Tamiya club where we can talk, trade,....between us. I think if Tamiya Club will be go, one part of the Tamiya Legend is gone too. Ebay is not enough. 2)If one members pays to have one access to the site, he'll respect more this website: the showroom and the traderoom will be beter, complete, and update!! More Members speak about all....but no Tamiya or r/c! I have one beautifull tuning car too, have one soon, but I don't put pics about them on Tamiya Club! It's no here the place to expose the real car or my soon![!] [] 3)It permit to "select" the guys who love really Tamiya hobby and r/c! 4)It permit to upgrade the site.( It's yet one great site, Chris!) Sorry if I have told that, but I think it's the solution.... Why don't ask to Ebay or Tamiya to sponsorize our future Tamiya website? They both have had much money with us!!![xx(] Regards, and sorry for my bad english[8)], I hope you have understood me! [)]François.
  18. Hi all, One question to our Manager: "Chris, how does survive Tamiya Club? For a long time? Have you subsidies?"[:I] I suppose many members think about it.... Thanks and regards from Belgium, [)]François.
  19. Hi all, I am happy to see the trades are good between members. I think we have all the same "virus" to do it, we respect the members and the non-discontinous Tamiya legend. For me, it's a real pleasure and one amusement to deal some parts with someone has need old parts to complete one vintage car! I prefer share these parts with someone if I don't need them. Today, I have received some parts traded with WWdriver. I have sent my parts for him with confiance and he receives it today too. Thank's to the members (Jerry, Darryn, Federico,...) who permit to restore my willys. Without them, maybe my Jeep'ld stay in bad condition. Cheers, [)]François

  21. [xx(] Good hard job, Jim! Can you transform all in 1/1 scale?[] I 'll like to be the mint 400 driver.....[] [)] François.
  22. hi, I go try to explain to you. One servo doesn't turn at 360° when it is connect. Perhaps 120° (2 X 60° or more?). "The gold thing" is one potentiometer. You just find the correct neutral of this potentiometer(-60° 0 +60°). If your potentiometer is uncorrectly placed (+10°ankle, by example) your servo will has this travel: -50° +10° +70°, and it turns longer at right than the left. If you turn the gold axle of your servo, you change the neutral (as when you move your trims on your remote control). Have you one form, tang on your gold axle to put correctly your final gear on it? Look at this for more informations: http://www.hvwtech.com/appnotes/servos_mod_fut.asp

(important:content"soude caustique"![]). I use it to restore my Holiday and.....what surprise!!!It is better than brake fluid (depend of the type of the color to strip?) cheers, [)]François.
