Old quattro and Ascona rims!!!!!!!!!![] They are one different design.....[] [)]Poulpit. P.S: it's not impossible to fit another wheels because Audi Quattro, Opel Ascona and Willys are the only Tamiya kits have bearings "INSIDE" the rims....[8)]

Then again, why not just gut the whole lot and stick a modern ESC inside the box? Keep the servo there (connected with Y-lead) to move the leverarm just for show, but there's plenty of room in the case to stick a Novak Rooster in there imho. [] id="size1"> [^]WillyChang! The "vintage look" 'll be not affected!![] but how to cool, refresh, the novak Rooster?[8)]It 'll be hot! cheers [)] poulpit

Hi guys! I had the same problem like DerAlex on my old Ford ranger body, at the same place! I use one plastic piece in form "L"(90 degrees angle) and I glued it inside with "2 components epoxy glue". Now, it's hard![] then, I used one epoxy milliput compound to finish the outside. Cheers and regards from sunny[8D] Belgium!!! [)]Poulpit.

Yes, it seems strange but really goes......used for big surfaces! Now, I don't use this method for my treasures, sorry Steven, it's my opinion[:I]! The adhesive performance can be down after some months or years. I place my little decals without problems, except for the big ranger ones[], they make "tunnels" in some places!![!] If anyone have one good tip to remove these tunnels?????[xx(] cheers, [)] Poulpit

Hi Steven! I work in a self adhésive factory and we use this tip to apply big surfaces( real cars, bus, plane!) of color vinyl! It's not possible to do this if we don't use some water with little liquid dish to wet the surface. Then, we apply the vinyl and we can move it to have the good place. After that, we use one soft plate of plastic to remove the air and the soapy water. We can form the vinyl with an hair dryer or an remove paint tool(slowly for not burn!).[xx(] This application is used too to place solar film on cars windows[] I don't never have thought about this tip for my Tam's[^] but be carrefull, all adhesives don't resist to this treatment!!!![] Try on a little piece of clear decal before use this method![] Cheers, [)] poulpit

If the worst comes to worst, where might I download a detailed exploded diagram of the Transmissions inner workings? Hi WLDNAS, You can find an explosed view on the great website from Roby's old Tamiya. http://oldtamiya.interfree.it/ click on explosed view and than, 0000! or on this great website too! with pictures.[](.pdf need acrobat reader!) http://kope.com/bruiser/TrannySvcManual.pdf [)] -
What color have you used to paint it? some paints contens solvents "eat" plastic. The best one (for me) are tamiya spray cans. Now, sand your body [V] and respray it![] Cheers, [)]poulpit.

quote:Originally posted by simensayswhen I removed the masking tape (tamiya - 5mm) from my newly painted SS - the tape left some glue marks on the underlaying coat of paint. This might have been a result of me using a hairdryer to make the paint dry quicker, and therefor did something to the glue on the tape. Or could it be that the tape was old or sumthin'? (the paint was regular Tamiya Spray paint) id="quote">id="quote">Hi, Just one information! I have the chance to work in a americain tape factory in Belgium. When a roll of masking tape (or other, like maRking tape) is too old, There is one action due to the press into the roll, called "bleeding". The glue bleeds on both side! When you use this tape, look if the sides are glued! In this case, you must cut the masking tape on the side to have one clean border. Don't use one hair dryer, the glue is more liquid and "bleed"... cheers, [)]poulpit
