  1. Hi Oldtimer, Try contacting this guy; jamesbond-1@dsl.pipex.com He sells repro's on ebay. I bought a set myself recently. Obviously they're not perfect but then repro's never are. He's not got any listed for the Holiday buggy at the moment but I'm sure he could run you up a set if you ask. Hope it helps (I'm sure that there are tons of other TC members who know of repro decal producers)
  2. Danuk, you're making my head twist now. I know its got some value to it, but if it never gets painted or displayed, then it only serves as an investment (yes, i know its a good one) I guess I'm looking for that buzz of seeing a mint condition original shelf queen, on my shelf. A friend of mine had a new one of these when we were kids and I was insanely jealous of him. When I saw it come up on the bay the red mist came down, you know....I WANT IT, I WANT IT, MUST HAVE IT, MUST HAVE IT, LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! I'LL KILL FOR IT!!!!! AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Sorry, haven't taken my meds yet this morning.
  3. Thanks, Have contacted 'Monty' and he's going to do a repro shell for me. It seems this bodyshell is super fragile so I'm goint to leave it on the shelf untill I can find someone who is comfortable with it or I dare to have a go myself! Yikes!!! If ther's anyone out there who is comfortable (and capable) of giving this a pro finish, I'm still looking.
  4. Hi fellow TC members, Need your help and advice please. I have just secured the sale (yes, on ebay) of a brand new, and original, bodyshell for the Porsche 959. It even comes with the original Rothmans decals. Havin never painted one myself I am too scared to use this as my first go. Can anyone help me with info of who could do this for me and produce the best possible finish? It also has the original driver to install, but am still waiting to find out if it has the lights too. I am based 2mins from junction 11 of the M6 so the nearer the better. Thanks, Jedi.
  5. Schaumat, you are not alone. My story mirrors yours my brother. Only I am in the early stages. Having only joined TC yesterday I am in the process of spending all of my wages and indeed, most of my credit card limit. My better half 'tuts' only too often when the next parcel arrives and I do seem to find myself glued to ebay for parts! Do not be concerned by your position, we are not alone and I'm sure we can put a 'self help' group together if we need to. I am longing to add my collection to my Showroom and currently have a Scorcher in bits that I intend to polish until my fingers bleed. My employers have called the VAT man as they are convinced that I'm running some sort of business through their postal service. The postman has started having an affair with my receptionist as he see's her for half an hour a day whilst delivery my ebay purchases. Is it worth it? Do we have a problem? What is the cause of our strange affliction? I can only reflect on my own case and say that this hobby takes me back to a time and place, when all I can recall, were the good things in the world. When every day seemed like christmas, and there was nothing better than beating my dad in a race with my Thundershot. There was no 'work', I couldn't hear the nagging of the women in my life, (my mom), and I saw my friends once a day rather than once or twice a week. I'd never want to go back, as life has only gotten better, but, I still yearn for those feelings, as they are like all feelings that you feel for the first time; only experienced once. Anyway, enough of this twaddle, I have polishing to do and auctions to win. Any my other half would be frustrated without something to moan about. All the best. Jedi.
