Loving the Jag there Toolmaker! I assume you have seen Harry's Garage with his manual conversion XJ12C?

Thats why so many kids these days end up with "Lego Graveyards" as you cant build much else from most kits these days - my boy has loads of Ninjago Lego and most of that is single use. I like the Minecraft Lego though as that does incorporate some creativity if you want to apply it.

Kragle the world!! :-D

Does anyone have a Lego Boost? Would you recommend it?

Maybe one for the future - you are slowly solving every other Tamiya problem - add it to the list I now have 5 CW-01s with your double wishbone front end - seems rude no to! lol

That would be great - being able to quickly swap between Pumpkin and Lunchie shells - a good challenge for you Alberto - all without modifying any parts as always

King Cab Diff replacement. Super Astute TTC or Thorp?
skip665 replied to Flerbizky's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I have just picked up a Monster Racer and am expecting the diff to be junk as its currently riding on Blackfoot tyres. After a bit of Googling I found this thread and it got me thinking about what 2WD gearboxes would fit. For a cheap and cheerful option I might give this a go... http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178617 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311479444165?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262446433721?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&var=561248429606&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT For £15 for the gearbox and £15 for some fibre sheet its got to be worth a punt Thoughts Max as you definitely seem to have explored all the avenues?! -
6 days from order placement to arriving at my house via UPS - that was from Holland too! When I ordered it the lead time was 7th June!

Received mine yesterday too and cant wait to install them! As far as I can see these parts will make the CRP front end redundant as this is easier to install, requires no additional special hardware and places the shocks in a much better position - thank you pintopower!!

I have emailed Alberto to see if he is up for the challenge! -
Buy one with your eyes open and its not that bad. A guy here bought a 56 plate 230hp one (the one thats £490 per year to tax!) for £1250 - he uses it for track days and its been faultless - he even took it from Norwich to Edinburgh and back for work recently and it never missed a beat. A lot of car for the money!

Yup - just about.. Its only a subtle difference but it is slightly wider... Probably 5mm or more..

I have a CW01 with a set of Wild Willy rims which mimic the look of the standard wheels. I dont think the back spacing is any different to the standard wheels.

Loving this development Alberto! I think the Frog hex adaptors will give the truck a slightly wider rear track so will be a closer match for the wider front track you have created. http://www.rcmart.com/tamiya-53913-frog-2005-wheel-adapter-p-18599.html?cPath=595_744_972 I have both setups at home so will try and have a measure up at some point.

That sounds very similar to how my M06 drives. I had to put an ESC in it with drag brake to assist me in the turns which helped massively - otherwise it just swapped ends any time I used the brakes. Challenging but in my hands I will never be as fast as I am with my M05... -

skip665 replied to XV Pilot's topic in General discussions
Our club rules are any front wheel drive M-chassis, so M01, M03 and M05 are the only ones eligible... We have restrictions on ESC, motor, certain hop-ups etc to try and keep it as close and accessible to everyone as possible... -
Thanks for the tip there XV Pilot - will have another look over mine Still loving the little Jimny

I have that problem too - not investigated it properly but it was worse when I tried to use universals...

Anyone checked out the new Mercedes MF01-X? Looks good although the tyres need to go straight away! http://tamiyablog.com/2016/01/sneak-preview-of-upcoming-tamiya-rc-models-to-be-shown-in-few-hours-in-nuremberg-toy-fair-spielwarenmesse-2016/tamiya-58629/
