I paid $600 for my Turbo Optima (Chain Drive) I got a Jr Radio, One 8.4 v batterry and a charger i think. It kept falling to bits but went ok. Paid $450 for my first Optima Mid Car only At the local track you can buy a Pb Mini Mustang For $450 and the 2 speed was another $100. I think the hobby was cheaper back than as you didnt have battery up dates every 6 months, Fancy chargers, a box of mod motors, a lathe, A huge a range or tires and compounds. A heap of springs and etc.

Hi all, I raced my frog and fox yesterday in stock and was a really great fun. The Fox was very good but lacked steering lock (i think my standard servo was to blame) and ran out of time to try a better one. I think its not centerd propley as it had good lock on way and had 150% rate with maxed out balance. The Frog was awsome and jumped so well. It had so much steering and speed everyone was amazed it did the big table top. I will say its a not standard and did a lot of work on the suspension front and rear. The Fox was great as well and more stable. Will show pics if i can get them. Mark

I never knew that Mauri make Toy guns now. You learn something new every day. It be good if they re realise some of there buggys, Than again my Galaxy spat the gears out every 3 runs, They will make a better toy guns i think.LOL.

I got some sticker paper that is clear and printable on your printer from K mart in the office aisle. I live in Brisbane so you should be able to as well. They say if you want it water proof add some clear vinyl on it. I have scanned some stickers from my Frog so i have spares. Havent re produced them but have the stuff to do so after a couple of yrs thinking how to do it cheap. Mark.

I would love to see a Fox with a better drive shafts and a lid for radio access like the Hot Shot.

Hi i have just finished building my Re realise Frog and gave it a run. Ok this is what i found , The rear springs seem way to stiff for as it hops around a lot. I cant remember my Frog doing this when i had one, maybe it did. Its got different springs and shocks than the origanal and think its a little stiffer. I have just mounted a pair of Schumacher shocks on it and is a lot better and now mounting a set of Parma front dampers to it. Thanks. Mark.

Thanks for the info. We have just spent a hour looking for them on e bay world wide ( im in Australia) and did the search under DF-03 wheels and the only result was a set of rears only from Dinbal. Would perfer not to shop there as they have not a good reputation in OZ. Jr-Rc didnt have them listed either. Do i have to go to E bay Uk?? Any chance you can send a link please. I really need these rims or i can never Race the Hot Shot on decent rubber. Thanks Mark.

Im also chasing some white rims from the keen hawk . DF03 Chasis too. Can't seem to find the front rims but got the rears in white. Sent a e mail to Tower and they said the front rims are discontinued . So how can they figure that out. 4Wd and only sell rear rims. ??? I really want white rims not black for my Hot Shot.

You can try it. If its to much it will thermal shut down. Its says to a sport tune motor 23t. According to the specs a new sport tune motor is a 23t and a technipower is the same but a technigold is around a 21 t. If its in a 2wd it should be fine providing its not overgeared. If in a 4wd it most likely shut down due to extra friction 4wds has. Cheers Mark.

Hi can anyone tell me why i have 2 sets of front hub carriers in my new kitt. One set have 2 sets of holes for the adjustment of steering throw while the other set has 3. Cant tell if the caster is different between them. Do all kitts have this?? Thanks Mark.

Hi I have just got my new Hot Shot and saw on the side of the box under option parts you can get the bigger rims to run todays tyres. From what i can see they are from the Keen Hawk in white as the Dark Impact are black and i want to dye the rims. I cant seem to be able to find the rims from Tower only the Rears. Can anyone tell where i can get the front and rear. Thanks Mark.

Hi . Im undergoing a rebuild of my trusty Fox. Upon changing some broken rear upper arms i noticed that some arms have down stops to limit suspension on the down throw. On my wrecks i noticed some had them and others not. Was this a running change in production?? I never really noticed this to now. Thanks.

Just orderd my Hot Shot Re Realise and thanks 007 AL i have my Hp suspension set on the way. Orderd a set of CVD's for my Frog as well. cant wait to build them.

In all the years a raced electric the best item a came across is the trinity motor hood alignment bar. It does all brushes except oval ones. It aligns the brushes togeather and to the center of the magnetic field with the center pole it comes with. It always gave a better result on the dyno and on the track. They aren't to expensive and does lay down, standard and p94 brushes.

The Specs of it say 7.2 v only and no more than a sport tune motor. Not telling you what to do but im pretty sure it will thermal shut down or blow. It really is only just a replacement for the Msc. I have 2 in there packets still as i use a Lrp q2 . Mark.

Ah The Galaxy, What a Nightmare that thing was. My very first rc buggy that my dad bought for me. It was ok for handling but chewed idler gears up quicker than i could blink.LOL. Speedie burnt just as quick. Tha hot 550 motor was good but when i had replace the brushes they wernt the standard type. My dad had to file them down to fit. It put me of Mauri for life. Funny thing is the Samairi was a great buggy i think.

You bet, It will be raced in stock with or without other vintage buggys. My Fox still kicks but with 2.2 rims on the rear, in stock of course. Where can you get the HP suspension from. Thanks Mark.

I raced all of the 80's and remember the big wig but never saw one in competition. I think it was realised to handle the 8.4 volt battery packs with the new Technigold as well. It was aimed in the Amercian market like the Turbo Optima with the 240,s motor. I wish i saw one racing. Good luck. Mark.

Hi All, I really want a Super Shot but am thinking of getting a Re Realise Hot Shot for spares or to bring up to Super Shot specs, I have a new under guard, Gold rims, Technigold motor, front damper stays and damper bodys f&r , It will still be hard to do but i hope to do it. Is the hot shot good to run ? I think the suspension lets it down? Hope Tamiya will re realise the HP suspension set for it??? Thanks.
