I like the look of a blitzer beetle. How do they run off road ? Looks a little lower than some of the buggies.
-
Sound like a plan ! I always find 2wd a bit more fun to drive anyway.
-
Me and a couple of my mates are looking at gettin some buggys for mucking about with. I already have a blazing star but it's more of a shelver than a runner, scared I'd damage it. Lol. Looking for ideas. Was thinking something like a dark impact, rising storm, something like that. Be interested to hear any ideas/experiences/suggestions.

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...3&sid=21731 See the link for pics Has been stripped and repainted and the front visor is not installed but still present. Also it is missing 1 light wiper. The on/off switch for the esc is also missing. I have been using it with the wires connected up to bridge out the switch. All boxes for the scania and radio aswell as manuals etc all still present Radio is a futaba T4EXA. This was expensive when i bought it. Very nice piece of kit

I've had this one since they were first released. It's painted box art and in good condition. Has a couple of extras. Michelin men, rear wheel hubs, curtains, scania mirrors. Has a home made light kit which could do with a bit of tidying up. Also has a drift car light kit fitted so hazzard flash when it stops. Has only been used a handful of times in the years I've owned it. Never outdoors. Also comes with futaba 4 channel radio gear. Just add batteries. I'm in the uk. If your interested shoot me an offer. Any questions just ask. May be interested in trades.

Hello all, I was wondering if there is a way of adding showroom entry pictures to tamiyaclub from my iphone. As i usually view tamiyaclub on my iphone and very often my iphone becomes my camera, but currently I find myself uploading pictures to my computer then adding them to my showroom, via my computer. Anyone found or know a way of doing it straight from the iphone ?

Hi. I'm in east Kilbride. It's 7 or 8 miles outside Glasgow.

Yet another project I have started and lost interest in. This was bought to be a drift car but I have since lost interest and decided to focus on other things. Its a TT01E rolling chassis. Its in very good condition and has only been used for indoor racing. It has ball races, oil shocks, rear adjustable arms and racing slicks fitted. Also comes with a spare 61 tooth spur and manual There's no shell or elecs. £35 posted in uk or trades of similar value I'm always on the look out for buggy projects, 1/14 truck accessories, or anything else you may wanna trade I'm in uk, payment by paypal or trades

Mine was a peugeot 306 maxi on the ff02 chassis. Ran it almost to death, the tires went so bald eventually they just disintigrated and had to be replaced. Sold it a couple of years back on ebay, really wish I hadn't now !
-
Ha ha ha. Brilliant. The mental image that conjures up is fantastic too. Them all sitting sweating, nerviously looking at the big red digital countdown mounted on the wall behind them.

I agree. I haven't seen a new release in ages from tamiya that has made me stop in my tracks, maybe the container trailer but the price managed to put me off that. lol. When was the last time you looked at the tamiyaclub homepage and saw new release tamiya models in peoples showrooms ? Usually its just vintage, rerelease, or non tamiya vehicles people are adding. I believe tamiya have just released this in the hope that people will buy this purely because its a tamiya (as some people in this thread have already said they would) Maybe some people will I don't beleive there is anything wrong with that, but i won't be buying it, I don't think its up to scratch and i hope this isn't a sign of things to come that we are seeing from tamiya. I do not believe tamiya currently offers the quality, versitility or value for money other brands can. I'm sad to say it but i find my collection slowly moving away from tamiya and into other brands which is a shame because i like tamiya products, i just can't justify the cost anymore
-
My sentiments exactly ! This car just strikes me as a lazy offering from tamiya. Tamiya can not expect this truck to be competitive in the market place. There are better performing, better looking and cheaper stadium trucks out there. Are tamiya hoping we will all rush out and buy this simply because it is a tamiya ?

They're great to drive with a trailer, I've got a stretched bruder lowloader on mine just now, trailer itself is about a metre long. Takes a bit of practice to manouver it. lol. You'd be amazed by how much weight these little things can haul too.
-
Wow, thats expensive ! Doesn't look great either, I've never had any experience of this chassis but i would say it looks somewhat fragile. I'm all for the rereleases, they bring me back to my younger years but i can't help thinking tamiya has put all of its efforts into releases, here we have what is essentially a rerelease chassis with a cheap body on it passed off as a new car, aimed at a market which already has some stronger, cheaper and better looking contenders from other manufacturers. Come on tamiya, step it up a bit !
-
I would go for the 40 ft trailer. Mfu's add alot of realism to these models but you can't beat the fun of driving with a trailer on the back. Flerbizky could be on to something. These do look good with a tanker trailer
-
Looks great. Love that colour, it really suits the scania. Paint finish looks good too. Really clean looking. Well done. Any plans for a Trailer ?
