Clodbuster bowtie box art or not ?

I like that one. Simple but effective. Doing the bit of air brushing on rear quarter panels would be fun ! -
Clodbuster bowtie box art or not ?
Ricky850r replied to Ricky850r's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Yeah I like the look of that first one. Nice and clean looking. The second link had some great colour schemes. Like the car with the lace pattern roof. I was gonna paint it boxart for fear of devaluing it with it being a chevrolet body clodbuster but to be honest, I don't see a great deal of differences in the prices or rarety so I'm gonna do something original. Nit that I intend on selling it just now but my collection and tastes are ever changing. Lol -
Paint it a bright colour, it's dark in this cabs once it's all built up. With black you lose alot of the detail. I painted my scania black inside and ended up having to add lights inside the cab to brighten it up a bit.

Clodbuster bowtie box art or not ?

I like your thinking Vagabondstarxjf. I was thinking maybe a bigfoot truck (I know bigfoot was a ford but i always loved the colour scheme of the bigfoot) Or go for a 2 tone look like a couple of k10's i've seen on the web. NJhopper, a rainbow does sound cool, maybe with metallic colours, and a bit of airbrushing, hmmm. -
Hi all. I have just picked up an un painted clodbuster. I was all fired up to do a full boxart job but now I'm thinking something different might be cool. Like a proper period chevy k10 2 tone job. Or something else ? What you think ?

In good condition. Stickers are a bit peely and some chrome is a little discoloured. Missing sunroof. Been fully ball raced and has msc and two servos. Bought to restore to a shelf queen but I don't have time to do her justice. Would be a very easy resto. See link for picture. Any questions just ask. Offers or would accept trade of good rally car or xc chassis car. I'm in uk. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...9&sid=21731

So today I was in silverburn with the girlfriend, picking up such things as more cusions to move off the bed every night and candles that I'm not even allowed to light ! Anyways after a while I wandered off in search of the nearest Costas Coffee and found a Modelzone ! I was really impressed with the place, great selection of stuff and some really good prices. It was nice to see a load of built tamiya models on display on a shelf. There has been nothing like this in this area since beatties closed down many years ago, just a couple of local hobby stores and not many of them stock Tamiya. I honestly felt like I was a child again in beatties. Its good to see a shop of this kind making its way back into shopping centres, something that has been missing in this area for a long time.

My blazing star is my favourite runner. Looks great, goes great and is indestructable ! I thought I'd had enough of my old one and sold it. I was wrong. Now I have another one as they're so much fun ! -
Keep an eye on the old eBay. Seen a couple go recently for good prices. Got a runner myself, they're great fun. If you need any advice or tips just gimme a shout. Good luck in your search Richard

Myself and a couple of local guys are trying to start a radio controlled car club in the glasgow area. We have provisionally secured a venue and are now looking for some other members. At the moment we are only just starting up so unsure excactly what we will be racing, most likely be touring cars, mardave bangers, m chassis cars, etc. Probably just be a bit of run whatever you bring to begin with. There may also be an outdoor track being available too. If any of ths interests you, or you wanna know more please get in contact with me, Thanks, Richard

Lunchbox Box Art Or Own Design
Ricky850r replied to s howell's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
I prefer own designs for the lunchbox http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?c...5&sid=21731 -
For 4 wheel drive, I like my blazing star. It based on the ta01 type chassis. I know its a bit old but it goes really well, on any surface, handles nicely, jumps well and is almost indestructable. I'd reccomend one of these to anyone wanting a good fun runner. 2 wheel drive i would say a brat. Goes fast, handles well and the body looks cool !
