  1. I own a F350 Highlift and love it, great build, fun to modify. Honestly the sky is the limit on what you want to do. Mine is completely modified with JunFac parts and RC4wd parts. I've even modified some Clod wheels to fit on my truck. These are great trucks, I put a lathe motor in mine and it really slowed the truck way down. Stay with the stock silver can if you want some wheel speed. Other than that these are tough trucks. Oh ya do not lock front diff unless you are really going to crawl with it. I have spools in mine and it really killed the turning raduis.

  2. Sonic was the CB handle I used back in the day. I got from another truck driver named Gravedigger he was the lead dog of a small convoy of trucks heading north in Illinois at a high rate of fuel consumption, when I over took and passed his little convoy. I was running quiet no stereo, just my CB low when Grave digger spoke one word, "Boom". I asked him to repeat himself and said that that was one Sonic boom he heard as I passed. At the time I had't really found a handle since I was pretty quite on the radio. So I took the name Sonic, Gravedigger dropped the anchor behind him and chased me into the Windy City were I headed into Cheese Land and he made his delivery in Chicago. Only one truck feel out of line that night, maybe for fuel, maybe to stop for the night, but we talked all night joking and teasing. We passed a couple State troopers in the median who didn't even seem interested in chasing us down. It was just one of those nights. 0620 is my wedding anniversary and also my truck number since it was my rig at the time. Wow, have things changed, now I drive a company truck that won't hit 65 mph and I don't own a CB radio. Hope you like my story..

  3. I love seeing how others build their projects, seeing the trials and errors. The inspirations and then to see the final out come is always cool, But the journey is always the best. Seeing it come together. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching for updates.

  4. I admire you and your family enormously . Caring for someone else's children who are in need of care for whatever reason has to be the most kind hearted act another person can do . I know I couldn't do it . Respect to yourself and your family .

Thanks for your kind response, I honestly wasn't looking for that type of response. At the time I feeling a bit jealous of all the cool hobbies listed above. I do care for the children that are and have lived with us. And I don't mind helping their mothers, but there are times I do get overwhelmed with the responsibility and I long to be selfish. Most of the time it is a joy, I love cooking and I did get in the habit of making a huge breakfast when I returned from my trip. Pancakes, eggs,hash-browns,bacon and sometimes biscuts and gravy. I also do love working on cars and helping those who can't afford the cost. So I guess I do have a good hobby. Thanks for putting it back into prespective for me.

  5. Let's see other than RC the closest thing to a hobby I have would be playing Mr. Mom. I drive Truck for a living and listen to a lot of audio books. Stephen King, Joe Hill and Talyor Anderson are some of my most favored authors. My wife home schools are girls, is going back to school and working is working as a tutor. While that is going on we have been helping out a lady and her little girl as she finishes up her addiction program. We have provided child care and other care for them for the past two years. Before them we took in three children full time for just over a year before they went home to their mother. We love kids, but they do take up a lot of time.

  6. Hello I'm new to this forum, and just getting back into the hobby after a two year break. I just bought a Street Rover and was looking into the DT-02 chassis when I came across this. I finished reading through all the posts and I have to say I never even considered looking at the Holiday Buggy, but thanks to you guys I've added it to my want list. Of course I need to finish my Street Rover first. Thanks again will be looking forward to more updates.
