I'm Jeremy, I'm new here. I hoped my first post would be a more general introduction once my car is finished, rather than jumping straight in with a technical query, but...
I'm building a Tamiya VW New Beetle. I've got to the stage where it's a working chassis now - only the body left to do. So I figured I'd whip the battery out of my old Thunder Shot, give it a quick charge and test out the Bug. The problem is this:
First time I went to accelerate, I thought the car was very slow to take off, then it slowly gathered speed. It sounded like the motor was spinning quite fast though, and the thumb stick was quite far forward. It was kind of like a slipping clutch effect on a real car. It then got slowly worse and now it barely moves at all. It just sits there with the motor spinning. I've no idea what I've done wrong, does anyone know what might be causing this?
Any help would be much appreciated!
