  1. @DjTheo Thanks for the example of TS47 [^] I looks very nice to me, it is strangly to me but i think most of my cars ar yewllow - no matter what the box art cover is - I just like yellow Now I am wondering what colour I will get if I paint my WW2 without using primer (whichs is white or light grey). [?] As the body is olive I might get a result that is a little darker than your Subaru Brat. Or am I wrong [?] By the way, does anybody know what colour was used to paint this WW2 ? http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...d=11438&id=1200 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp...003021020_4.jpg Thank you.
  2. Hi Guys, I am back , and I finally got my Wild Willy 2 [] As there are so many WW2 in army style I would like something different. Maybe "camel yellow" but I don't know the exact colour code. BTW: What are these metal braclets that I can see on "Simensays" Willys (between hood and window frame) ? I am not sure if this colour on the fotos came from a tamiya spraq can http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...id=12538&id=393 I have got 2 cans of Tamiya TS47 (chrome yellow) , i think that this may be the colour of yuckydogs former Willy (see linke above). Anybody got a pic of a car painted in TS47 chrome yellow ? I think it is too bright for my WW2.
  3. @Wriggleandgiggle I forgot completely about this thread I think and hope that by now you have seen pics of baobaos red MTW ... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=8518&id=468 It would be nice to have a more closer look of the tail lights. I haven't painted my MTW by now because I am not sure if I should put working lights or not.
  4. I bought my Toyota Monster Racer (similar to King Cab) years ago when I was a kid. Since last year I started using it as a runner. Now it is dead because of the diff. After so many years of fun. Anybody got a diff to sell or has an idea whrer I can buy a new dif. I think in the past I have seen ads for better diffs in an american magazine [?] It is a shame that I can't drive this car just because of a small diff. I am also thinking about buying a Stampede Truck because I can't get my Toyota running again. I neeeeeeed a truck [8)]
  5. Lol [] What should I say. I spent hours in the preparation of my Blackfoot shell. And now after 3!!!! attempts it looks awful. Yes, 3 attempts. I had to strip it 2 times because once I had problems with insects which liked the yellow colour and then something went wrong with plastic putty, filler and colour. At least I had a body for bashing around on the last meeting [] Now I have bouhgt to new bodies (Midnight and Monster Beetle) in order to build to shelf queens. At least I don't have to strip it before painting []
  6. I am a happy bunny Today I have bougth a XC Pajero over ebay. It is for my dad and I am sure he want's working lights. Working front lights are no problem but what about tail lights? Did anybody ad tail lights to his Pajero Metaltop [?] I do not want to drill holes into the body and notice afterwards that it looks terrible [xx(]
  7. Sorry I have no idea. I have looked at photos of maybe 50 slot-cars but I didn't find the "buggy". Maybe it is some kind of "Schlesser Buggy" the one that won Paris Dakar some years ago. [?] Look, there are two of them on the pic. Anybody got a pic of a brown Clod Buster. [] (brown paint, not brown because it is covered with mud[8D])
  8. Ah ok. I see. We have got s th similar in Germany I think. Carrera (Bahn)
  9. G r e a t Which song is your fav ? I've almost crxxxx my pants seeing and hearing to their Led Zeppelin animations (I can't find them right now on rathergood. Where are they?) What kind of drugs do you think the to "crabs" take. I gues LSD might be one of them [8)]
  10. @Twinset Slot-car [?] What is a slot-car? Some 1/24 Modell like this (btw. the right fallguy car)[?] @BiggusDitchus Maybe I should forget the black foot project and get my old chevy running and look for a clod buster body. That would be looking more realistic I think. My Chevy has smaller tires and a bull bar []
  11. Back in the 80ties when I was a little boy this was my "fall guy car" [] (guess why it looks a little worn out) later that car was replaced by this Midnight Pumpkin which was painted in what I thought to be the real "fall guy car's" colour. (don't know the English name in German it is called anthrazit braun) maybe this pic is better to see what colour I am speaking off @Twinset: Is that a cloddy ? Or is it the body of some other model [?]
  12. Unfortunately I don't have a Ranger body B U T Which Tamiya is a Ranger? Clod Buster ?
  13. Hello I just thought of painting a Black Foot in the Colours of Colt Severs` car. Anybody out there with big pics? I have got only this small one
  14. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3546042307 Car is old and used. You can use it as a runner and that's it. I bought it myself @ebay some time ago because I wanted a street racer [] It comes without any rc components, what you see is what you get. Bidders above 13€ get the new motor, below you get the old motor (motor is standard 540, notihng special). I think it is more interesting for persons who live in Germany since shipping and so is expensive.
  15. Hello I am looking for an affordable Pajero Metaltop. Maybe I am lucky and someone of you guys has one left or knows someone who is willing to sell his Pajero.[] The body can have scratches and dents since I want to restore and repaint it. The chassis should be ok, it doesn't have to be in mint condition but everything should be in good or used condition. I live in Germany, so German or European Pajeros would be more interesting because of the tremendous shipping costs.
  16. I could use the connection that links the rear body mounts of the monster beetle. And I need a Monster Beetle body and maybe (have to check mine out first) a complete gearbox. Some gold plated wheels would be nice to Prices?
  17. Well, the one I bought did say "do not use on plastic, aluminium and painted parts of oven". But the other one seems to be more aggressive because there is a warning not to aply it for more than one hour. However I am happy with the result. I stripped of the paint with a brush and a hard sponge. It wasn't easy but the paint came of. After less than an hour the body had only a little paint on it (will show some pics later). I did not use gloves and my hands seem ok (used handcream afterwards) and the oven cleaner did not smell (but I opened both garage doors just to be cautios). It is not the easiest way to strip a body but it is much better than sanding because it doesn't harm the body structures (lines of the doors, hood, fueltank-door etc) [] Maybe next time I'll try BF if I manage to get a good amount from a car mechanics. PS: The body was soaked for about 14 hours in oven-cleaner-foam.
  18. It seems to work. [] Maybe because the paint is fresh. It is just 5 hours ago that I foamed the blackfoot with oven-cleaner foam. I just went into the garage to check out the progress. I could strip some paint with my fingers. Not very easyly but it worked. Hopefully tomorrow the paint will go off more easyly. [] I tried some "Verdünner" (nitro?) on the body before but that started to damage it within no time. [:I] However I would have liked to try the "green activator" we talked about in another thread. Maybe I'll find out a distributor in Germany someday.
  19. I tried the soap-water with midnight pumpkin decals. It worked almost perfectly . However I had some problems with the decals , but not because of the soapy water. Without it I would have been a lot harder to aply the decals.
  20. Ok, as I messed up the blackfoot paint job today I decided to try ovencleaner and maybe 'rescue' the body. There were three different makes. I took the K2R one that is recomendet by the big ovenmakers (bosch, siemens etc...). I think it is made in switzerland. There were two other brands. One was "no-name" and the other one seemed to aggressive/ corrosive becaus it said s.th. like "don't let the foam be more than 1 hour on the oven". And it said "ätzend" and inflamable(I think it means corrosive in english), the other ones were only inflamable. My question: How many hours would you let the foam 'work' on a hard plastic (blackfoot) body id="red">[?] The paint is fresh, I tried to get of as much paint while it was wet.
  21. I really, really wanted and still want to try that activator. Right now I am painting a Blackfoot body but I am not satisfied with the result. I looked for the activator but I wasn't able to figure out a distributor in Germany. You know what this means for me -> sunday will be "happy sanding" time []
  22. Talking about (ab)used rc car bodies and to hot motors on a fwd ......... then look at mine ;-) see the tires, the were "almost" new but didn't last very long with the dynatech However, I like this car
  23. Cool, my neighbour has his own Tamiya page http://www.zurru.de/ [8D] And the other member at least has 3 cars. 2 out of them are monster trucks [^] (King Blackfoot and Clod Buster).
  24. Thanks to both of you for the hints, (@sjoerd) nice web site [] My problem is that I am not sure if I can find the missing parts I need to complete the chassis. I looked at modellbau witkowski page but I do not know if the parts are suitable for my frp chassis [?] As I said , I have only upper and lower decks and nothing else Is it possilbe to buy the steering, spacers and the battery holder apart ? I have added a pic of what I got in my showroom. [V] Somebody offered my a nib carbon kit for ta02&fwd - what would be a fair price to pay? Which other hop up parts would you consider as helpfull to improve the car's handling and performance (besides new shocks). @S. Did you make the hole for motorcooling by yourself or is it a hop up part? Didn't you change the shocks of your clio? It looks pretty nice with that dynatech & chassis . Isn't it hard to drive with the standard shocks ? I put a Dyntech 01 R and a good 7,2v battery and the car was quite hard to drive around corners [}]
